My daughter wanted one last meal here for dinner before she heads back home to Boise this weekend. Of course I was going to give her what she wanted but our last visit wasn't the best. Lack of noodles in my pho. The seafood pho my daughter got was ok and also lacked noodles. We came around 5:30 tonight and it was hella busy. We waited for about 5 minutes for a table and got sat pretty quickly. My daughter knew what she wanted. She got the fish sauce chicken wing dinner. I got the vegetarian pan fried noodles with extra gravy. We hung out while food was being prepared. It did come out pretty fast considering how busy it was. My dish came out first. I was surprised my veggies came out in a huge bowl! But I realized I asked for extra gravy and they delivered. My daughter's chicken wings came out shortly after and they smelled so good! I dished up my veggies on top of my noodles. It looked perfect! It had big chunks of tofu. My veggies were vibrant and fresh. I had plenty of sauce to make sure my noodles softened up nicely. My daughter's chicken wings were hearty! Those were not wings, them drums were drumsticks. They were all nicely coated in the fish sauce. My veggies were so fresh. The tofu was soft. My favorite part was the noodles that soaked up all that sauce! I added a little soy and Sriracha! Each bite was so good. My daughter smashed out about 4 wings. I was supposed to try one but I for full from my noodles. This meal was a complete 180 from our last. We got so much food! I'm happy to know my daughter got to try the wings tonight. I know it was something she wanted to have before heading home. We don't have this dish at our local pho joints back home. I will be sending her home happy.

I crave Pho 33 as the weather starts to turn cold. They have so many varieties of pho and ramen--from meat-filled to vegetarian and vegan options! Everything I've tried here is delightful! My go-to is a medium ramen with chicken broth, ramen noodles, and wantons. You can mix and match other options to fit your dietary needs. The ambiance and service is lacking, though. The ambiance almost feels like a cafeteria even though this place is not self-serve. The employees are kind. However, our water sat empty for a while, but the employees work as a team, so they do not seem to have just one section to manage. You will need to grab your own to-go containers for any leftovers. The containers are located under the TV on a table to grab for yourself. We also had to go up to the counter to pay as our check was never brought out (I still don't know if that's normal or if the service was just slow).

Visited Pho33 for the first time and it instantly became my favorite pho spot in Utah. I ordered the large Pho 33 ($14.50 + $3.50), and it was incredible. The portions were very generous--definitely enough to satisfy a big appetite or share. The broth was rich and flavorful. Pho 33 comes loaded with rare beef, brisket, fat brisket, shank, flank, tendon, meatballs, tripe, and oxtail. It's a beef lover's dream and every bite had something different to enjoy. The variety of textures and flavors made the bowl feel extra hearty and satisfying. The oxtail was the highlight: tender, meaty, and packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is spacious. I was seated quickly and my order came out fast, which is always a plus when you're hungry. The service was efficient and smooth. You will need to pay at the counter, which I actually preferred instead of having to wait for the server to come to you. For the quality and portion size, the price felt very fair--especially compared to other pho places I've tried. I'll definitely be returning. Can't wait to try more from the menu.

    Seafood Lomein.

Today I decided to veer away from my Vietnamese menu standards at Pho 33 and I ordered their seafood Lomein noodle dish. It had plenty of seafood in it, including scallops, mussels, shrimp and squid, and the flavors were good if not exceptional. The noodles themselves were not up to my expectation and were an overcooked, soggy, scrambled mess. They were supposed to be pan fried but weren't. I also wasn't a fan of the carrots, cauliflower and broccoli which didn't really line up with the flavor profile of this dish. Next time, I'll stick to what this place is good at, Vietnamese food.

Tried the brisket pho this time! Everything tasted great! This is the only spot in salt lake that I go to for pho!

Not sure why it's taken me this long to write a review, but Pho 33 is one of my stables. I come here at least once or twice a month to indulge in the bun bo hue. It feels like home every time I take the first sip. The food is so affordable and service is attentive and fast. This is easily in my top 5 for best restaurants in SLC.

Hands down the best pho in SLC! Came in on a busy Saturday night and was seated after waiting 5-10 mins. The rare beef pho is *chef's kiss*!! Quick service, consistently good, and generous portions.

Very legitimate Vietnamese restaurant. The pho is amazing, pick your broth, pick your protein, pick your noodles... and they bring it all to you with a smile! Who knew that my search for a great bowl of pho in Omaha, would take me to Salt Lake City!! Great service, great food, nice little place!

Went for pho here because my good friend was craving it. Put our name on the wait list and was hanging out in the waiting area and looky what we saw crawling on their south window, a damn cockroach. We bailed and probably will never be coming back here again.

Delicious Vietnamese food in Salt Lake City! Pho 33 is a very standard, no frills Viet restaurant. You're quickly ushered into one of the many booths or tables and given a menu to look at. They have all the classic options you'd expect - pho with various toppings, egg rolls, banh mi, etc. I was personally a big fan of their pork banh mi, which had really fresh bread and a generous serving of pork. Their Thai Tea was also quite refreshing, it was perfectly not too sweet. One thing to note is that I ordered the Pho 33 (with Ox Tail) and got very small pieces of ox tail, mostly bone, while my friend got two large sections of meaty ox tail. So the consistency might be a bit off here, but it's hard to be sure without coming back multiple times.

This restaurant was amazing! it had a great family atmosphere and all the servers were very patient and helpful with us having older individuals with us. I had the seafood stir fry and it was amazing! very flavorful :) would recommend this restaurant to anyone because the food was soo good

I placed a to go order and the food is very good and fresh but they din't give me much noodles and meat and toppings. The service was good and straight to the point. Next time, I will check to see if they gave me enough topping and ask for more. But $14 isn't worth what I got this experience.

They do full-service sit-down and to-go orders and have a wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches, bagels, dessert, other New York/Jewish style deli foods, and beer! Sloppy Joe - 5/5 - A large (1/2 lb) double decker sandwich with pastrami and corned beef. There are 3 layers of bread. The meats are tender and flavorful and blend nicely together with the thousand island dressing and slaw between the layers. It also comes with a side, I picked the potato salad which was good too. Not too much mayo but it was still nice and creamy. I just wish I got a little more potato salad to match the portion size of the sandwich! Potato Latke Pancakes - 4.5/5 - They were nice, hot, and crispy. You get 2 pancakes which have a nice thickness to them too. The flavor was good, I just think you should get more sour cream and apple sauce. It comes with a small cup of each, but its not quite enough for the 2 pancakes and its 50c each to get extra! Matzo Ball Soup - 3/5 - The matzo ball and soup broth both had a good flavor. The proportions were just off however, a huge matzo ball but not enough broth. And the broth didn't have enough of chicken meat and veggies (carrot/celery). I basically had 1/2 the matzo ball left over at the end Attempted Murder Imperial Stout Beer - 5/5 - Its a vanilla cinnamon stout. The flavor is subtle but in a good way! Its not sweet, but has a smooth bitterness and mouthfeel with a slight fragrance of the vanilla cinnamon. If you like stout, def give this a try. Its a strong one too, 10.5% ABV! The restaurant was clean, service was good, and there is a good amount of seating and its decorated nicely inside. Def give this place a try!

The décor is warm, modern, and sophisticated, with a contemporary yet cozy feel that makes it a very inviting place to relax and enjoy an evening. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit disappointing from a culinary standpoint. My ahi tuna did not seem as fresh as I would have expected, and the burger was less than impressive. It was slightly overcooked, and the patty was quite thin, lacking the quality and flavor that the beautiful setting promises. On the positive side, the service was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly throughout our meal. Heart & Hill has all the ingredients to be a standout destination. A stronger focus on the quality of the meat and a more substantial burger would go a long way toward matching the excellent atmosphere they have created.

This tastes like mom's kitchen if mom had a high flamed gas stove. The dishes that benefited from that smoky hot wok flavor had it. I was so excited to eat I forgot to take pics of all the dishes at the table. Green beans with garlic was so tasty, I finished the leftovers the same night, I remembered to take a photo in the takeout container. The cauliflower (I don't know the actual name but it's stir fried, spicy and comes with peppers) had wok hei and I couldn't stop eating it. Beef rolls is the sophisticated auntie of the scallion pancake. Think of it like an asian burrito with thin sliced beef, fresh scallion and cilantro, and a touch of hoisin all hugged together with a crispy tasty scallion pancake. The shredded potato tastes like the best potato salad that isn't your picnic potato salad. The shredded potatoes were quickly blanched then stir fried preserving the crunch and crispness similar to al dente pasta. Seasoning was on point. The homiest flavor came from the stewed short rib. The rib pieces were braised in a soy and star anise sauce like what you find in Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The peels potatoes were cut rustically and just cooked through and not mushy. Authentic flavors and freshness like this is so so hard to come by. I can taste the quality of the ingredients used. One tip I have for selecting authentic food is by looking at the customers. If the customers are all Asian eating at an Asian restaurant, you know the food is going to be good. Service was 10/10, waitress was super polite and stopped by to chat with us about the food and SLC. Disappointing Experience - Food Quality & Service…read more I've been to Mi La Cai Noodle House before, but unfortunately, my most recent experience was very disappointing. I ordered the wonton soup, and the pork wontons did not taste right to me. I let the gentleman who was helping us know about the issue, and he told me, "Let me see with my manager what I can do for you." To be clear, I wasn't asking them to take the soup off my bill or give me anything for free. I simply wanted to see if they could provide a little more meat so I could finish my bowl. I thought that was a reasonable request, especially since I had already explained that the pork wontons didn't taste right. Unfortunately, the gentleman never came back to our table, and the manager never stopped by or spoke with us at all. We ended up paying the full bill, and no one even apologized or offered any kind of resolution. When the host later asked how everything was, I explained that the wonton soup wasn't as good as I expected. She simply said, "Oh, sorry." While I understand that mistakes happen, it felt like a very dismissive response, especially after we had already brought the issue to their attention. I honestly feel like the food quality at this restaurant has gone downhill. What disappointed me even more was the lack of customer service and follow-through. If a customer takes the time to politely bring up an issue, I would expect someone from management to at least come to the table and address it. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be coming back. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously because I used to have a much better impression of the food and service.
