The noodles were hearty and maybe were had pulled. There was a bit of cabbage in the soup and some cilantro for extra flavor. I enjoyed a cup of the complimentary barley tea that they provide as an option to water. The service was pleasant and the food was brought to my table really quickly. The interior is spartan but clean and organized. Thanks to the owners for keeping this place consistently producing a delicious product with fair pricing for the food. I'll definitely be back.

I ordered the wonton soup, and the pork wontons did not taste right to me. I let the gentleman who was helping us know about the issue, and he told me, "Let me see with my manager what I can do for you." To be clear, I wasn't asking them to take the soup off my bill or give me anything for free. I simply wanted to see if they could provide a little more meat so I could finish my bowl. I thought that was a reasonable request, especially since I had already explained that the pork wontons didn't taste right. Unfortunately, the gentleman never came back to our table, and the manager never stopped by or spoke with us at all. We ended up paying the full bill, and no one even apologized or offered any kind of resolution. When the host later asked how everything was, I explained that the wonton soup wasn't as good as I expected. She simply said, "Oh, sorry." While I understand that mistakes happen, it felt like a very dismissive response, especially after we had already brought the issue to their attention. I honestly feel like the food quality at this restaurant has gone downhill. What disappointed me even more was the lack of customer service and follow-through. If a customer takes the time to politely bring up an issue, I would expect someone from management to at least come to the table and address it. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be coming back. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously because I used to have a much better impression of the food and service.

The jajangmyeon was rich, slightly sweet, and I can never get enough of that thick, black sauce that covers the noodles in its umami. After some time passed the server returned to inform us the ribs were sold out and provided us with a menu to look at other options. A little more time passed and then more bad news the egg drop soup was also out of stock. We declined on ordering anything else and I asked if my chicken sando was still coming and was told yes it's on it's way. Meanwhile we watched three other tables arrive and place orders and even receive their food and yet my chicken sando was still missing. I flagged down our server and again was told my chicken was coming. Another 15 minutes passed and still not sandwich. I politely flagged down our server and requested the check as our lunch experience had gone on for over an hour now and still our food was incomplete. We got an apology and the bill and began to exit. As we were leaving the server arrived at our table with a takeout bag with my chicken sando. I'm not sure what was happening on this visit but something felt very off at the Drunken Kitchen. First impressions are very important especially in a dining experience and this first impression was not good at all.
