We went to Hiro Ramen on a Friday night around 8pm. There were two other tables occupied as well. I spoke to the three workers behind the counter and one of them, the owner's daughter, told me she was drinking her own creation. I wanted to try it. It is passion fruit with pineapple slushie and for now she is calling it "Tropical Island". I tried it with boba. I also ordered the Vegetable Ramen with no mushrooms and gluten free noddles. My friends got the coconut shrimp and pork buns. One got a rice bowl and the other got ramen. We all liked our food a lot. It was the best ramen I had ever eaten. The broth seemed to be coconut milk and it has lots of veggies! I really enjoyed the tea as well. It is sweet but you can adjust the sweetness. So, I told Albee, the owner's daughter, that her creation was very tasty and she was happy! The most fun thing there is the robot that delivers the food to the table. I read another review that didn't like it and called it cold, but it was fun having the robot come over! I ended ip talking to the counter workers a lot anyway so I didn't feel any cold service there. I also enjoyed their cute songs on the wall. Overall this was a fun night here! My anticipation for Hiro Ramen & Bubble Tea, initially discovered through DoorDash, led to an in-person visit. The restaurant, located in the former Kmart Plaza, offered ample parking. While the space was undeniably new and clean, its stark gray décor was underwhelming. The robot waiter, the thing the child in me was looking forward to, proved disappointing as my excitement waned when my order arrived via human hand, not robot!!. . Although the Pork Belly Bowl and Slush were delicious, what was disappointing was the pickled cucumber appetizer, a previous favorite from DoorDash, which was bland and missing the tang from my prior orders. Finally! Could it be? An actual authentic Asian restaurant in town, and one that serves one of those most hallowed of dishes, Ramen? I could barely believe my own eyes / ears when I heard the news, but it's true! Hiro Ramen is an absolutely incredible new addition to town, and one that excites me to no end. Prior until recently, Ocean County in general has been devoid of really any decent authentic joints, let alone a place where I could get decent ramen, and let me tell you - Hiro really knocks it out of the park. Walking in, the place is very clean and inviting, with a modern decor style. There's a neat message board along the right wall which people can use to leave inspiring messages for each other (or I suppose to show off their doodles), which I thought was a clever idea. You order your food at the counter, and then go to find a seat. This is where the "fun" starts. I ordered a black garlic ramen, with some steamed pork buns for an app. A few minutes later, a chipper tune starts to play and a happy-faced robot server came over to deliver my food (no spills or sloshing, here!). Never seen anything like that before, but it was super neat! The food was incredible - my broth was SUPER rich and developed in flavor, and more than enough food for a filling meal. The eggs in the soup were a particular highlight, and I'll be ordering additional for my next bowl for sure. Some of the best ramen I've ever had, in all honest. I had high hopes, but the food just wasn't that great. I really thought it was gonna be authentic Ramen with a lot of flavor, like places I've been in NYC. It was just okay ,a little disappointing. I wouldn't go back. The concept is really intriguing with the little robot waiter but it was underwhelming. We got the chicken Raman and the vegetarian ramen $35 was not worth it ,they give you a lot but it wasn't good so not worth it. As far as the ambience, they had music blaring. I had read about the robot server so was intrigued to try it out. I totally missed a large ordering screen that is to the right of the entrance. But then someone at the counter said we could read the laminated menus and come back to order at the counter. I guess I had no clue what to expect when eating in but should have kept in mind that there was self service ordering and robot service available. So when the tip screen came up, I felt obliged to put in a traditional tip for eating in. You then have to grab your own utensils and napkins. Then we were served our food at our table by a smiling human. We were the only ones there not long after opening so I guess it didn't make sense for them to use the robot. The food itself was fresh and seemed high quality. We had their bestselling curry chicken bowl, which seemed like it had juicy sliced chicken secondarily covered in a curry sauce. The flavor was just not for me. We also had the chicken ramen, which again had large fresh ingredients. We ordered it as medium spicy, which at this place for us was really spicy. Next time "mild spicy" would seem better tolerable. We needed water but decided to just pack it up and go. I threw away the disposables and was told I could leave the bowls on the table. They do have a tip jar at the counter. Maybe decide at the end of your meal how much you want to tip in cash rather than doing it upfront. There's a 3% credit card but no debit card surcharge. This is more of a fast casual place. read more

Very clean establishment! The staff is the nicest people. We came in at 8:20 and thought we had to be quick, they told us to take our time and were very kind to let us know to stay as long as we liked. They were so kind to give us a free dessert to enjoy. 12 out of 10 in my book. read more

We saw this new restaurant on TikTok and it did not disappoint. Your food is delivered by a robot which is cute. Loved the Black Garlic Ramen, Curry Chicken Rice Bowl, Salt and Pepper Calimari and an octopus ball (can't remember the name). Food came quickly and was hot. Our specialty drinks were delicious especially since the counter person asked us about our preferences. This restaurant has ample seating. Ramen here is amazing!! The ramen was cooked perfectly, broth is well seasoned but not too salty, the meat is well marinated and balances out the broth well!! Each topping has a small burst of its own flavors but when combined with the broth (I tried the black garlic ramen), it's like well constructed symphony. I have been to this place 3 times over the past month. The food is consistently good. The ramen is really well done, and the few apps I've tried, Pork belly Bao buns and shrimp tempura were also really good. Don't expect much ambiance, but the place is well run and clean. They even have a fun robot that brings your meal to your table. They only serve cold beverages, but the teas and boba are interesting, albeit too sweet for my taste. BUT...you can order them "not sweet" and I've found them to be very good. While not cheap, the ramen portions are very healthy and the quality of the food makes it a good value. I will be back when my wife and I need our ramen fix. read more
