The staff greeted me mid afternoon with smiles and warmth. I settled in and examined a very impressed menu choosing the sushi lunch special, which is priced just right. The miso soup was very flavorful and presented to me with the salad presenting a very attractive image. The soft music continues to soothe me. The salad was simple but cold and crisp with the typical Japanese salad dressing coating the salad without being watery. My sushi rolls featured fresh fish whose taste satisfied. They are always so friendly and welcoming, we love seeing them when we come. Johnny is amazing at hibachi service, and the food is always incredible. Ginza starts off a winner for me because as my husband and I got to the area a little late on a Summer Sunday night they were the only open restaurant we found. Seriously. It's at the end of a weird strip mall on 37. Threw parking lot was mostly empty when we pulled in but we walked into a chic space, that was spotlessly clean, with a friendly staff. We weren't alone either. Several tables had customers. We ordered gyoza and a tempura shrimp roll to start and shrimp and steak hibachi from the kitchen. (I wasn't in the mood for the whole show) The only bad thing was that everything came to the table like super fast. We hadn't finished our apps before they brought the soup and salad. Then 30 seconds later, the entrees arrived. They also offer an All You Can Eat Sushi option, but you pay by the piece for what you don't eat. Overall, a good place. read more

We were impressed by the strong reviews but came away deeply disappointed. Both the negimaki and the grilled hibachi salmon came bathed in a goopy sweet sauce that masked the flavors of the negimaki and came close to ruining the salmon. The salmon was, at least, cooked to the right extent; it was accompanied by some sort of fried rice (whatever happened to goo white rice?) and noodles. My spouse had the scallion pancake which was extremely greasy and nearly devoid of scallions -- she loves this dish ordinarily but did not finish it. She also ordered a salad, which was heavily iceberg and, again drenched in a sweet salad dressing. My wife ordered sushi but she found the fish to be old and not flavorful. We had not noticed that they have no liquor license, and the drinks I most wanted short of beer or saki, ramune lychee etc, they were out of. read more

I have not ordered for 2 years, since they stopped doing deliveries. But we decided to treat ourselves tonight and ordered our usual order. We came here for hibachi, which I haven't gotten in probably a decade. Its a stand hibachi place, they do all the same things every other place does, and same with the sodium. The food here can be a bit 50/50. I like the shrimp tempura roll but they make them bigger but shorter so instead of 8 regular sized pieces, they give you 6 bigger pieces. It can be hard eat in one bite and falls apart easily when dipping. It's not that big of a deal because it tastes good. The miso is a bit salty? Im not sure if they use alot of a stock or something but It's a bit heavy. The pork katsu is very tough to eat and the breading is bland. The scallion pancake was yummy , though a bit oily. The gyozas tasted wonderful. Especially the vegetable gyoza! The outside was crispy but chewy and the sauce was light and vinegary. read more

I ordered the spicy tuna, volcano roll, miso soup and edamame. Once I returned home within an hour I was on the road to HELL!! This was the worse sickness from food I have ever experienced! I love sushi, it is one of my favorite foods. I will never eat it again in my lifetime. It took nearly two weeks to recover from this ordeal ! The Ocean County health department was notified and aware of my experience. Hands down the best sushi in the entire Toms River area. Rolls are fresh and delicious . The hibachi is also delicious and a great show . They have an all you can eat night , and whether it's all you can eat or take out , my biggest compliment is in the shrimp tempura roll. We ended up having the best meal and Johnny was our hibachi chef. He was absolutely amazing and really entertained my 10 year old niece. We got sushi delivery from this restaurant for the first time, and it will be the last time. I ordered online and it allowed me to put in my credit card. A few minutes after placing my order, someone called me asking for my card #, saying it only shows the last 4 digits of my card on the order. So if your system doesn't properly work, why do you allow people to enter payment online? The whole purpose of allowing online ordering is for convenience. The food took just about an hour to show up, which is fine, I expect that these days. Honestly, none of the rolls tasted that great. The fish didn't taste fresh and there was no good flavor to any of them. We had some leftover and it ended up getting thrown out because neither of us wanted a repeat of it, which is irritating because it's not cheap. The reason I give it 2 stars & will definitely not give it another try is because I got charged differently than what my order says. They charged me twice, once for the order and once for the tip, normally restaurants do one charge for both, but I can deal with that. But the order charge was more than it's supposed to be. It wasn't a lot, but when you charge a delivery fee, and I give a decent tip, and your food is expensive (and not great), I don't appreciate being charged more than what my emailed receipt states. I understand times are tough, but everyone works hard for their money. read more

Located in a strip mall off Route 37 Ginza is very modern inside. The first big room has tables as well as the sushi bar. The inside room has hibachi tables. I am basing my review strictly on the sushi because that's all I had. I dined in Ginza on a Sunday afternoon which happened to be what seemed like a more limited menu. I still felt that there was plenty to choose from but was not extensive as the menu I had seen online. They have sushi combos that are very reasonably priced but if you are a big sushi eater definitely go for the all you can eat. You can choose from a long list of appetizers, sushi and dessert. The price is definitely worth it if you are planning on eating at least 3 special rolls. I thought the sushi was fresh and the service was great. I will definitely be back for the sushi again and to try the hibachi. read more

By far the best hibachi I have ever had and I've tried a ton of them!! The restaurant is unassuming in a strip mall along Rt 37. When you get inside it has a nice modern look and very clean. The hibachi was so flavorful!! From the fried rice right down to the final addition of the sautéed veggies. I loved everything I ate as did the 7 other people I dined there with. And extremely affordable!! And BYOB which is always a favorite of mine. Every year we come down to the beach for the entire month of August and do hibachi at least 2xs during our visit. Went there for lunch, I ordered a bento box with salmon, rice veggie gyoza, seaweed salad and a tuna roll. They gave me a white fish that smelt horrible- i asked could I please have sautéed vegetables instead, they said you touched the fish so no. I said well it smells bad you're gonna charge me for bad fish? And not give me something else? I'm confused, I've been here before and liked it so I'm not sure what was going on, the sushi itself wasn't great either. Wouldn't recommend, very cheap quality. read more
