Was coming to the Hartford area and searched on Yelp to see what's around here to eat. Literally this was the first result and with 4.8 stars and in need of a hot meal before a cold night of holiday activities , we decided to stop in. We had 6 of us. We got 2 orders of fresh rolls with extra dipping sauce, 3 Vietnamese iced coffees, 3 (22) grilled beef over vermicelli, 2 (5) pho dat biet, and one (17) grilled pork chop over rice, and a frozen avocado smoothie with brown sugar bobas. Food comes out very quickly. The rolls were good. Peanut dipping sauce was excellent. And to be honest we didn't need the extra sauces. They're served with a generous serving of it. I did use it on top of my grilled beef noodle bowl. Which was fantastic. Comes with a fried spring roll. Generous amount of beef. Big portion of salad too. Tried some of hubby's pork chop. In my opinion the pork chop was slightly better. But it's served uncut where the beef is sliced into strips. Pho bowls were on the smaller side compared to other places but honestly it's perfectly sized for one person. Everyone finished all of their food. We asked about desserts. Not sure how it is everyday but on that day they only had sesame balls and had already sold out. Everyone was full and happy with their meals so I would definitely recommend coming here

Finally Stopped in to see what Pho & Grill is all about per recommendation from my friend Dan who's family owns Pho 501. Pho & Grill is owned by relatives of Pho 501 which my family frequents weekly. Pho & Grill has a larger menu with many more Vietnamese options to choose from. We started off with the Grilled Beef rolls. These were go but a more similar version than ones I've tried at other places. They were simply stuff with vermicelli noodles, shredded lettuce and grilled beef. And on the side was a peanut sauce for dipping. They were good but I missed the herbs and extra vegetables like are in the ones we get at a different place. My hubby ordered the bahn me sandwich with grilled beef it was filled with pickled carrots and daikon radish. And on that crispy crusted Vietnamese baguette with a smear of butter. This was so good and the flavor is so fresh and bright. Perfect for a grab and go on a hot summer day!. I ordered the bun with grilled pork and egg roll. This is one of my favorite dishes it was chock full of vegetables and grilled pork slices and it had that nice vinegary/sweet fish sauce to pour over the top of it. The noodles were just a tad overcooked for me but it was still really enjoyable and I would definitely order again. My daughters split the Pho Tai. This had a very flavorful Rich beef broth with the chunks of raw flank then immediately cooked as it hit the hot broth. Pho Grill and Chill only seems to have one size of Pho to order and price depends on what protein you choose so it can be a little More pricey depending on what you choose my other Pho spot. I can't wait to go back and try more things and make sure you order some of the pork egg roll they are actually delicious We ended up ordering a side of them because my kids wanted to steal the ones out of my bun.

We tried Pho & Grill after hearing the owners are related to the family behind our favorite pho spot, Pho 501 in East Hartford. We made the 40-minute drive with high expectations...and they totally delivered! The restaurant is modern and spacious with plenty of seating. We were greeted and seated right away, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Super friendly, fast, and attentive from start to finish. The food was fantastic; from the crispy, flavorful deep-fried pork spring rolls, to the amazing #12 Pho with rich, clear broth and plenty of noodles and meat, to the fresh and tasty vermicelli with spring rolls, to the beef Banh Mi that was pure perfection. I also got a pineapple tea with clear pearls (they have tons of fun drink options!) and it totally hit the spot. Everything was delicious, portions were generous, and we left full and happy. Definitely worth the drive if you're craving authentic, fresh Vietnamese food. Pho & Grill is a must-try!

So glad this was the first restaurant my daughter and I tried for the year. And 5 stars to boot. Can't believe it's taken this long to come visit, but better late than never! Another first for us was the beef spring rolls. Every time we've had Pho we've had the shrimp fresh rolls. And I have to say these are even better with some yummy homemade fish sauce. My daughter ordered the Pho Ga or chicken Pho and I had the brisket and flank steak pho for our mains. They were both outstanding but my daughter stole my beef Pho before I got the chance to spicify the broth so it was the clear winner. We will definitely be back to try more menu offerings as the depth of flavor was perfect. The service here also needs to be mentioned. It literally feels like coming home. Thank you Pho&Grill!

We stopped here on the way to NJ for dinner. It was really packed in this small restaurant and they seem legit! Unfortunately the pho broth tasted a little on the milder/watered-down side, but it did taste authentic. We were hungry and it was enjoyable, I got the option with a mix of all the meat options and the tendon and brisket were my favorites.

Wow! Short rib pho. Omg. Where has this place been all my life. Absolutely fantastic. Flavor profile is incredible. Forget the size of the broth and the bowl they give you but this dish came with three monster short ribs on the bone. It was fantastic.

Finally arrived at this fine establishment. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls & it was delicious . Now for the main event, I ordered the Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup). Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed due to the broth lacking flavor, but overall, we had a nice time & the staff was excellent...

Pho was absolutely amazing, rare steak add shrimp....very tasty. Spring roll / peanut sauce very fresh and tasty!

Delish and cant wait to visit again. Beef spring rolls w/peanut sauce was everything.

This place wasn't too bad. The biggest problem I had was online ordering and by the time I came to pick it up, they didn't know I had an order, so I had to reorder in person. The wait wasn't too bad though and the pho was decent. The soup was better than the banh mi I had, but if you want to try and make it better, no shame in ordering that double meat. The Thai Tea was good too. This is a small establishment so there isn't a huge parking lot, but a handful. The place is clean and smells like tasty broth.

Pho & Grill has been on my radar for a while, but this was my first visit. I got my standard first visit order of Rare Steak Pho and fried egg rolls. Both were good, but didn't pop for me in the way that my fav of my fav local versions. The broth was a bit less flavorful than my fav spots. The egg rolls had good outer texture, but the composition and seasoning of the filling, was just pretty good. The dipping sauce could have been sweeter and more acidic as well. I have nearby options that I prefer for pho. If this is your closet good option, I would see going there. 3.5 Stars

    Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls
    Shayla C.

Great appetizers! We had the fried shrimp egg rolls and the fresh rolls with shrimp! We also had the grilled pork bah mi, yummo! The pho ga, was not our favorite but we appreciate the efforts. Probably won't get that again, but definitely everything else! The owners doubled as our servers and were pleasant! The restaurant was clean and put together. Stop in and give them a try if you're in the Cromwell area!

#40 in my NEW ENGLAND & NY COFFEE SHOP SERIES…read more This is an Asian-owned, female-owned bakery and coffee shop with delicious Asian-inspired pastries and fun drinks! We came on a Sunday around 10:30am and they were almost out of some of their pastries. Definitely go there earlier. But that just shows how fresh everything is! Firstly, all of the pastries looked delicious! It was so hard to just pick one so we needed up picking 3. Cheesy hotdog bread, kbbq short rib bread, and a cranberry cream cheese pastry. They were all SOOO GOOD! The bread is so soft and the flavors were delicious. They have lots of fun seasonal drinks, caffeinated and non-caffeinated. They also have boba! I got an ube banana latte and my friend got their seasonal Coquito latte which was recommended. Both were delicious (and very strong). The service was immaculate. I didn't catch the cashier's name but she was younger with brown hair. The sweetest person ever! Definitely made the experience more enjoyable. The owner, Chan also gifted us a piece of delicious oreo cake for fun! It was so yummy and not too sweet. I cannot recommend this place enough!

First of all the owner and employees are wicked friendly and appreciative of your business. I definitely got the make-you-feel-like family vibe they offer. It was noticed and appreciated. They have a display of all the days baked goods, lots of different danish, cinnamon rolls, and really interesting pizza-like items. I went basic though and just got a regular coffee and egg and bacon sandwich. The sandwich was good, it was basically a cheesy omelette on a very fresh roll. I enjoyed it. The coffee, wasn't the freshest though and honestly a little burnt and plastic-y tasting. I also tried the blueberry cheese danish which was delicious. What I didn't really enjoy, yet understand to a degree, is the pricing and the itemized fees on the receipt. They are a small business, so I understand the struggles and necessity. However they are charging an "Inflation Service Charge" of 4% on top of the subtotal. My receipt also indicated another "Service Charge" of 4%, presumably because I paid with a credit card. In the end, a coffee, a latte, an egg sandwich, and a danish, 7.35% tax, and a tip cost me over $40. I think to me, it is psychological, while I understand they need to increase what customers pay, I guess I just rather they build it into the listed item price rather than tack it on at the end.

I do wish there were more signs, as both the parking lot and the entrance felt a bit vague and easy to miss. Once we finally found our way inside, we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere reminded me of another local tavern. Staffed by friendly people. The food was good, and the overall experience was enjoyable. My only disappointment was the lack of information about the history of the establishment. There is a lot of marketing that references its connection to a jailhouse on the menu, but very little information is actually shared within the tavern itself. I found myself wanting to learn more about the story behind the place. I also think it would be fun to add a photo-op area--perhaps even outdoors--with a set of mock jail bars where guests could take pictures. It would fit the theme and add a memorable touch. The tavern itself is fairly small, so I can imagine it gets quite crowded during busy times. Overall, it's definitely worth checking out.

This place is so adorable on the inside, it is small and pretty intimate, but the decor is precious! There are so many toadstools (the oversized red mushrooms with polka dots) and rainbows everywhere. Tony's specialty's are all his mom's recipes. There was a delightful selection of an assortment of sweets. Of course you can get your coffees and teas too. Each month they change their drink specials. I got a slice of their Salted Caramel Pecan Blondie and a May Specialty Latte called Fay Valentine. The Blondie was rich with caramel on the outside but decadently sweet, yet crunchy. This is an indulgence for sure! The Fay Valentine is a Banana and Peanut Butter Latte, absolutely delicious! I kept slurping long after it was gone! Please go check out the restroom at Tony's, even if nature isn't calling you to go. I have never before encountered a more magical restroom. If I tell you there's Alice herself hanging upside down from the ceiling, maybe that's enough reason to go. I had a wonderful time with my friend at Tony's Flour Shop, the staff is super helpful and friendly. I cannot wait to return.

It's not trying too hard, and that's exactly why it works. Feels like a spot where regulars post up, sip coffee, and take their time. No rush, no nonsense, ust good energy. And then the sandwich shows up... and flips the script. This isn't breakfast. This is a stacked, unapologetic morning statement. The Overloaded Egg Sando Griddled brioche bun, soft, buttery, just enough toast to hold things together (barely). Under that, a crispy hash brown doing the heavy lifting, adding crunch and soaking up all the goodness. Sausage brings that savory backbone, while the spinach scrambled eggs stay fluffy and rich. Then you get that creamy hit from the smashed avocado, melted smoked gouda layering in a subtle smokiness, and finally... the gochujang aioli. That aioli is the move. Sweet heat, a little funk, a little tang, cuts right through the richness and keeps every bite from getting too heavy. And let's be honest... Had to unhinge my jaw like a snake just to take the first bite. This thing is messy, stacked, and fully committed to the cause. Not first-date food. Not "eat it in the car" food. This is sit-down, take-a-minute, maybe-need-a-nap-after kind of food. The best part? The space balances it perfectly. Big, bold sandwich... calm, easygoing room.
