Even though they've since closed their first location, they still serve one of the best meals I could ever want. They had expanded into 257 Asylum Street, still connected to their business in Ann Uccello where they have always operated the kitchen. You might be able to see the chef in action through the glass window. I've been told that this expanded section used to be a salon. The cool light fixtures used to be above where the pedicure station was and also another reason there is a sink on the main floor. This is not quite a wait-on-you type of restaurant. You place an order through the kiosks on the wall and service staff will provide it to you when it's ready. It would be the same thing if you'd like any additions, in exception to condiments which are on the table. There is a water dispenser available for self service and a sink is nearby to wash your hands, as well as where you can place your dishes when finished similar to cafes. My go-to is always their Dry Noodle. The Daikon Bowl is probably my second favorite. I usually look out for their specials. It's too bad they do not offer the same item too often. It's simply too good! They also serve delicious refreshments that I forget to take photos of! Till next time!

I was confused to start and unknowingly timed out on my order. The young gentleman in the front of the house quickly rectified it. My need in a good bahn mi is the correct bread and this place did just that! Excellent. I had the flank steak bahn mi and my dining partner the crispy chicken. Both were delicious, fresh and full of flavor. Skip the curly fries. Glad we got two different choices and split the orders. The room is cafeteria chic. Will definitely return next time theater rolls around.

Two fried chicken dumplings and an egg roll were able to be added to my meal for only 3$ which I thought was a steal. There was no dipping sauce to go with them, but I just dipped it into the spicy cumin sauce and they were delicious as well. I had 4 meals out of those two entrees so I'm very glad I ordered here. Thanks Xian!

The place is small with only two tables and does not have AC. There is an outside table that she offered. You order on the iPad and pay first. The food came out as it was ready. The soup dumplings were very good but hard to eat with the chopsticks and plastic spoon. We ordered two noodle dishes to try. The pork noodles were my favorite. It came with minced pork and delicious wide hand pulled noodles. The sauce was a perfect amount of flavor with some spice. The cold noodles were not my favorite noodle. They tasted a bit more jelly like. It came with tofu which surprisingly was the best tofu I have had. It came with sliced cucumber which was refreshing. The pork noodle was definitely a must. The owner was lovely and came over to talk to us multiple times. I am bummed I waited so long to try it and will have to order again before they move.

I ended up getting a combo pho ($16) and viet iced coffee and they came out in about 10 mins. The overall pho was on the savory side , and it was a very clean looking broth. I went to place my order and wanted the mi ga (Sunday only) but it seemed like they weren't making it! It was fine, I ended up getting the standard beef pho and a Thai tea. My drink came out instantly and the pho very soon after. No wonder this place is so popular! It was well seasoned, beef well cooked, and delicious! Perfect for a cooler wet day! The servers were very fast and efficient, and the clientele seemed like all regulars that came here often to enjoy pho. Definitely will be back whenever I'm in the Hartford area! Parking lot was empty when I entered but when I left around 11 it seemed almost full, so be sure to get there early.

Lunch specials are smaller portion, but good for the price (raised to $12.95 now since my last menu photo) We split a lot of dishes because we couldn't decide: Wonton soup appetizer {4.5/5}: Loved how delicate the wontons were and the clear broth was great for a cold day. Tad too salty though. Lunch special --Braised pork belly {3/5}: Very tender, but kind of monotone in flavor. Very filling! Lunch special --Hot and sour gizzards {4.5/5}: This might freak people out in terms of texture, but I LOVE this texture. Good chew and pops of heat from the peppers and acid from the pickled green beans Lunch special --Cumin dish lamb {3/5}: kind of chewy and not as much flavor as I wished, but not bad! Chicken wings {3/5}: Crunchyyyy. Battered wings, not as much flavor as their chongqing chicken which I prefer, but not bad

Outside is very much a busy shopping plaza in not the best part of town. Inside is a completely different story. Very clean and spacious, lots of booths and tables. Decorated well and a lot to see. The staff were friendly but there was a slight language barrier. We fumbled through the menu and found some bites to try. Food came out relatively quick, and that was a bit to manage because there were a lot of plates brought rather quickly. We got pics and dug in. The bites were flavored well. Nothing felt too greasy or under seasoned. The white pepper chicken was very crispy. But not a lot of chicken on each bite. The sweet and sour soup was both sweet and sour, but balanced enough that you could keep on eating it. The dumplings were fresh noodles and the filling was spiced well. The only flop was the spare ribs. Really tasty sauce, but very little meat on the bone. Had to suck on the bones to scrape enough meat off to make it a proper appetizer. It tasted good, just was not easy to eat. Price for the area was high for the neighborhood. It's got the quality and the flavor to command that price easily, but it doesn't match the stores. It's really good, but know that you're getting the real deal sichuan experience. Expect some heat, some saucy fingers, and some bones, and you'll get some really good bites

Sidewalks were torn up but the place is hard to find with lack of signage. We were able to get seated right away, and looked through their digital menu. We got a smattering of dishes, wontons and dumplings, a sandwich and a ramen. Food came out in a reasonable wait time. We took pics and dug in. The 7 flavor dumpling was the star of the show. Light and thin dumpling wrapper, savory sweet sauce, plenty of filling. The pork dumplings were good, but the wrapper was thicker and denser. The twice cooked pork sandwich was pretty tasty, the pork needed to be more present compared to the veggies, but appreciated the crisp of the bread. The ramen had a good amount of braised beef and noodles. The broth needed a little doctoring to coax out some of the more savory notes. Broth needed more aggressive seasoning though. The price was not too bad for the area. It's kind of like dim sum, where you get a small plate for the price but it's all shareable and the flavors are good. It's not very well lit, gave the place a very dark air about it. But as a restaurant, it's pretty good. There's a lot of great places in that area, and this one's a good option if you're looking for small plates.

Inside is beautifully decorated, clean and staff was friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, not everything was a home run - but not everything on a menu can be. The flavors were on point but a couple missteps in execution. But a solid 4-4.5. Our favorite dish was the seven flavor wontons. Wontons were super tender and flavors were on point. The spicy beef ramen was really good, but the broth was oily and too thin for our liking. We added some soy and asked for some hoisin - which made a big difference. Overall, We will definitely be back and try more menu items.
