Not born, but raised in Modesto all my life since first grade, this used to be one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Modesto. They are actually a sister of another favorite in Stockton, hence that''s how I come to know of this location (then newly open in Modesto). Their pho used to be really good in taste as well as in fair portions from noodles to meat, broth, etc. Then as the years progress they seem to become cheaper and stingier in the portions - now all you see in the bowl are mostly broth, some noodles, and just a few pieces of fatty meat, while the prices sky-rocketed! Furthermore, their service is really bad as the new people working there are most of the time really rude and disrespectful. Hence, this place is no longer worth my return! read more

I've come here many many times already it's very much the main place I go eat pho. It's on a main road which is McHenry. It is easy to mess because it's under a huge shaded tree. I come here often with my family and friends. The complaints I have are always the same when I come here. Number one it is so freaking hot in this business establishment during the summer time or just in the days that are slightly hot. Today when I was there it was cooler being outside then being inside The restaurant. They have a bunch of fans going on in the restaurant but when it's like 95° outside a fan will not work. You're just blowing and circulating hot ass air. Come on what are people coming to eat pho for? obviously the noodle soup. And the soup is extremely hot so it makes you even feel hotter. My second complaint about this place is that the service is so so bad. Obviously I know that the people who run the business are extremely fob Asians. And those type of Asians do not give a damn about customer service. Trust me I know. But I don't like that because we live in America and customer service is very critical to how the experiences in a restaurant. I might sound harsh but I'm just being honest. When I'm at this business they serve you your food and then they never come check on you not even once. The server is just sitting in the corner on his phone. Just waiting for someone else to come in and take their order that's it. On the positive side there are a lot. For instances obviously, I come here for the food. The fire is a really really good they give out normal portions as you would expect. I didn't realize today when I went the prices have risen. They where are the cheapest for around town now they're just like every other foot place... Prices wise. Also if you're into Boba they're not too bad here. It's definitely not the best but it's pretty good. One of my favorites I like to get is the mocha flavored smoothie with Boba. Which cost $4.00. And it's $3.50 without the Boba. All the flavored smoothie boba are all just fruit flavors. So they do not have any milk tea flavors like a regular Boba business would have. That's why I like to get the mocha one I'm not a huge fan of the fruit flavors. I will continuously come here for the good food and the decent prices. But I would not come here if I was looking for a very good and well established customer service. read more

I would've given this 4 stars. Their pho is always good but the broth flavor is not always consistent. Some days the broth tastes good, other days the broth tastes better. Been stopping in here again service and food has definitely improved . Usually order the lemon grass vermicelli bowl with peanut sauce instead of fish sauce to go for a quick healthy lunch. We stopped by here to buy soup to go from our trip going back to the bay area and we ordered the Beef Stew with Egg Noodles and #4 Beef Pho. We were surprised how much their portions were - It was A LOT and the taste was surprisingly DELICIOUS compare to the Pho here in Livermore. Their employees are also super nice and they greeted me as I walked in to the restaurant with a smile...how pleasant is that? I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the food because it was late and we were starving. I had never been here before and I won't be going back. We ordered #17 pho, spring rolls, and egg rolls. It was about a 30 min wait, that's fine. The pho tasted like noodles in water with chili flakes. No flavor to the broth at all. The egg rolls tasted burned, this was not surprising since the were very dark brown (burned). The shrimp spring rolls had no flavor (my daughter had those) and she ate only 1. She said they were "not good at all, the peanut sauce made it worse." I've been coming here for awhile with nt husband and i started noticing price is changing not just on the menu but when you pay as well. Today was the 2nd time i questioned my meal price. I ordered a #58 and thai tea (no boba) the total was almost $19. He said it was because i ordered extra fish sauce, which i always have because they give you barely enough. I still couldn't believe but i paid and went on my way. I just want everyone who goes here to always check what they charge you for and how much. Because if they scam enough people out of a dollar or 2 for everyone paying customer thats $700 to $1400 they are getting away with STEALING in a week and $2800 to $5600 in a month. I have been a long time fan of the pho here. I had a coworker that would pick some up and bring it to work for us. Super delicious. However, it wasn't until recently that I realized how much their other dishes totally shine. My crew at work have been getting a lot take out for us to enjoy together. My friend recommended the fried rice. He said it was the best he's ever had. He was not lying. Their fried rice is insanely good. Since then, I always get an order of shrimp fried rice to go with my soup. There's a very pleasant moisture to the rice that gives it a nice fluffy and ever so slightly sticky texture. Far better than other dry plates of rice that I've had at other places. The flavor is heavenly. The crab Rangoons are also a wonderful side to add to our order. I've also really gotten to like their spring rolls. Packed with lettuce, noodles, and chicken. Let me tell you, the chicken in these rolls is masterfully cooked. There's a very rich and charred flavor. It's everything you want a grilled chicken to be. I was so taken back with how delicious these rolls were. This place has quickly become my Go To for pho and more in Modesto. They've never let me down. read more

The most disgusting restaurant that I have been to. After I had sat down, one of the waiters walked to my table and pulled napkins in front of me to wipe his dirty hands off. My new favorite spot for Asian cuisine! The service is excellent from the moment you enter the restaurant. The gentleman that took our order was very kind and came by several times after our meal was served to make sure we were happy with our meal. The food was AMAZING.
