Charges for sauce- I want to start by saying that the food is delicious and the service is always great. I genuinely enjoy dining at your restaurant. One concern I have is the recent charges for sauces on takeout orders. When dining in, sauces are provided at no additional cost, but for takeout there is now a charge for items like chili oil and even extra Sriracha packets. I understand that restaurants have costs to manage, and I'm not trying to be petty or rude. However, charging $1 for two Sriracha packets feels excessive to me. I would encourage you to reconsider these charges, or perhaps only apply them when a customer requests an unusually large amount of sauce. Small requests for condiments seem like a reasonable part of a takeout order, especially for customers who regularly support your business. Came here with a friend for dinner on a Sunday. We wanted to check out a new place while we were in town and support a local business. My friend ordered the special pho large and I got the number 38 vermicelli with grilled beef and shrimp. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The food came out in a moderate amount of time. The food was fine, but not our favorite flavor profile. My friend really likes pho, so we get pho together fairly regularly. The broth and flavor of this pho wasn't the best and the serving size was on the smaller size for pho even though he got a large. The vermicelli plate was unusually sweet- both the beef and shrimp had a red sauce that was very vivid and unexpected. We both ate our food and enjoyed the meal, but will probably not be back any time soon. If you are in the area and craving pho- this was a decent place, the prices seemed standard, and there were limited food options when we were looking Sunday evening. read more

The dough was tough and lacked flavor, so I wouldn't order those again. The egg rolls and spring rolls were good, but the peanut sauce was very thick and a bit clumpy. It still tasted good, just not the best texture. Very disappointing. The peanut sauce is the best for spring rolls. Entrées: * Vermicelli Bowl #39 - Good overall. The beef was flavorful and wrapped around green onion, but the onion pieces were quite thick. * Pho Specialty #16 - Very good! I also appreciated that it could be made spicy. Service: We placed our order over the phone, and the staff was very helpful. In person, they were also very friendly. Overall: A bit on the pricey side--just over $74 for two entrées and the appetizers. 3 stars because of the peanut sauce was a big disappointment & the cream cheese wontons, without those to items we would have saved $13 bucks. read more

Usually this place is really good but not our take out last night. First, the teenage waitress who was there around 530 was super rude and unfriendly. The shrimp pho my fiance got had TWO pieces of shrimp with it. The calamari my daughter got was soggy on the outside and the meat was like hard rubber that couldn't be chewed through. The peanut sauce I got with my spring rolls was lumpy and coagulated like it had gelatin in it. Very disappointing, especially since we don't have another pho option close by. read more

We decided to try this place after a gal at the bank recommended it. It also had a four and one half stars here on Yelp. They keep it nice and clean. So that was a plus. Our server was very friendly and prompt. The spring rolls were good filled with lots of shrimp and tofu. They did not disappoint. My husband got the special beef pho which included steak, tripe, meatball and brisket. The flavors were good, but could've had double the amount of meat. Light on the protein compared to what he's used to getting in Orange County. I ordered the seafood combination pho. The flavor was good. It included two pieces of broccoli three carrot slices and I think it was baby bok choy leaves. I was disappointed by only three pieces of shrimp, five halved fish balls and three minuscule pieces of calamari. Unfortunately we won't return. read more

The staff was very friendly, the pho was phenomenal and the freshly squeezed lemonade is to die for! I ordered their #16 "Pho special" which comes with all the fixings. I also ordered their freshly squeezed lemonade and it was the best fresh lemonade I've had at any restaurant by far, it does take a little longer as it is freshly made as soon as you order but it's worth the couple of minutes. Food came out fast for it being a busy Friday night. Also I had to take a lemonade to go because of how good it was. 10/10 pho spot! read more

This is my new favorite Asian food. Not only is everything really reasonable repriced but it tastes super fresh. They also serve a variety of things not just pho. My favorite I think is the penang curry, it's so good here I usually get a rice and a bread cuz you need it with that much juice. read more

The PHo here is fire! The only problem which is the problem with most of their food. The noodle to protein ratio is very one sided. Then 5.99 for a small one size fresh lemonade which they fill with ice without even asking. So a half of cup of lemonade for 5.99 shit that's the refill price original is 6.99. read more

A (good but) different spin on Vietnamese food. Living in The Bay Area I have certain expectations for Pho and other Vietnamese food. Traveling through town we stopped and of course checked Yelp to see what others thought. Good ratings and interesting menu items helped us choose this location. The inside of the restaurant isn't anything crazy amazing. I'd say there's enough seating for people, but I don't like the music. The bathroom isn't the cleanest. The table had forks, spoons, chopsticks, napkins and seasoning. Service was pretty good. My server didn't rush us and listened when we were asking questions about the menu. The first thing that came was our drink. We ordered the avocado smoothie, I do not recommend this beverage. It tastes like perfume and was not good. It took about 15 minutes to receive our food (two bowls of pho). I asked for raw meet on the side (that's what I am given at other pho restaurants), but they gave me cooked meat on the side instead. It's not that important, but maybe have your review your order. The broth doesn't have much flavor, but I didn't expect great pho out in Oakdale compared to places in the Bay Area. read more

Definitely one of our favorite spots in town. One of the few places that offers vegan options, so it's a go-to when my sister is visiting. I always get Mongolian beef with white rice and it has a good kick to it! Spice level can vary, I have a decent spice tolerance but sometimes it gets me good halfway through lol. Smaller establishment. We came on a Sunday after lunch hour and they were very accommodating in getting our large party seated across different tables and taking our orders. Our table of 5 ordered the same pho order, and it took over an hour and a half to come, while other tables were getting their food, and we weren't checked on -- to the point that after checking and being told several times our food was "ready to go", we were getting up ready to leave. Finally got the food, and it was hot, but not as flavorful as what we're used to, and the last bowl seemed like they just filled it with the shorter ends of the noodles. They charge $1 extra for credit card, so we tried to pay with cash. That took a lot more time, partly because they had to calculate everything manually. Was I expecting to find an authentic pho place in Oakdale? Not really, so when I saw one among the search results, I raised an eyebrow. It was indeed authentic, but was it good pho? Not really. It wasn't bad, but as I mentioned in the past, the soul of a pho resides in the broth that it's bathed in, and the broth lacks the flavor and fragrance that a good pho possesses. I also ordered a taro boba drink. Was that good? Not so much. But I still appreciated having this option in Oakdale. I am not surprised by my rating, as I don't expect stiff competition for good Vietnamese food in this town. Good Vietnamese restaurant in Oakdale! I was on my way back to the Bay Area from Yosemite and stopped by this town for lunch. My family and I have been eating camp food for the past few days so we were craving Asian food. I didn't have much expectation from this place since there are not a lot of Asian restaurants in the area but I was taken by surprise. I had the grilled beef salad (opted out vermicelli) and the rest of my family had pho. The salad has a good portion overall but it would've been better if there's more meat. I tasted the broth of the pho and it's on the sweet side but the flavor is well balanced overall. I like that the pho came out steaming hot. Love that I found this vietnamese place! I was craving a plate of their Korean short ribs, but they were out, which is okay! It gives me a reason to come back. We ordered a mango slushie with boba, a Thai tea slushie with boba, 2 vietnamese iced coffees, pork and shrimp spring rolls, pork egg rolls, a #22 pho Bo vién (beef meatball pho), and a #42 - grilled pork with rice and a salad. The slushie drinks were very good and not too sweet. The Boba was a bit different from most places that I've tried, but it was still good. Their vietnamese coffee was very good and I wish I ordered an extra for later. Vietnamese coffee is a drip coffee served over ice with condensed milk. It is strong, which is how I like it! Their pho Bo vién was tasty and their broth was very good. I enjoyed their grilled pork. It was flavorful, tender, and went well with the fish sauce. Their spring rolls were very fresh and their egg rolls were crunchy and yummy! The peanut nut sauce for the spring rolls was okay. It was a bit watery, but it still went well with the spring rolls. Came through on our way back from camping up at Blackoak Rv Resort. We had our truck and travel trailrr so we needed somewhere that we could easily park. This place is in a large shopping center eith ample parking. Hubby and I both had pho. He had the beef noodle soup and I had the chicken noodle soup. Both were delicious! We also had the tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce. Also very good. We have a pho spot back home where we live and we thought it was the best, but we may have to make a special trip out to Oakdale once in a while for their pho!
