Very nice place. I like the fact that they have pictures of their food on the menu so there's no surprise when you order. We had the pho with beef round and the vermicelli bowl with pork and an order of egg rolls. I honestly don't care for pho, but this was pretty good! Very flavorful. I will definitely order it from here again. My vermicelli noodles were a little too wet for my taste, I like them to be more dry so when I add my sauce, it doesn't turn to soup. The the egg rolls were too greasy for me, but everybody else seems to line them. I'll be back to try more! read more

Came from out of town and I was beginning to miss home cooked meals. I didn't have high expectations, i was just hoping it would subside my cravings. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was PACKED on a Sunday morning. The employees handled the rush well and sat us as quickly as possible. I ordered the Banh Bao Kep Thit (Pork Buns) as an appetizer and it was great. My go to pho joint when in NOLA on a Sunday morning. The staff is always friendly, and it gets pack after church lets out, but they still manage to find you seats. My go to is always the pho dac biet, which is rice noodle beef soup with rare eye of round, fatty brisket, navel, and tripe.. But my new favorite is the pho with fatty brisket. I've been here twice already and I'd definitely come back again! The pho comes out piping hot, as it should, and is flavorful without feeling heavy. Not too salty either. Noodles are perfectly cooked, and meat was tender. I've also tried the shaking beef here (bo luc lac), and it was fine, but not as great as I would have expected it to be considering how well they make their pho, which is why I'd give this place 4 stars. This is some spectacularly authentic and delicious Vietnamese food. This is most certainly the highest quality Pho I've had in Louisiana - great broth flavor, temperature and consistency. The weather was great for a bowl of Pho. My sister prefer this place instead of my favorite Pho Hoa. The pho broth was flavorful and the meat was plentiful. The only problem I have with the pho is that the broth did not come out hot. It was more lukewarm then I would have like. We ordered four large bowl and they only gave us one tray of bean sprouts with basil. We had to ask for another tray. I would definitely come back to order the pho but only for take out so I can boil the broth. For appetizers, we ordered Banh Bao Kep Thit....Baco slider grill pork with lettuce, pickled carrots and Diakon and cilantro was on point. We also ordered Vietnamese egg rolls and crab ragoon. I didn't taste the egg rolls so I can't give a review of it. I do know that they use rice paper as the wrapper. The crab ragoon could have more filling. I was just discovering Pho at the time and didn't have much to compare it to at the time but I fell in love with the Pho Ga and ordered it every time I went over a few week span. The Iced Vietnamese coffee was excellent too. The price was pretty cheap considering the quality and amount of food. Service was attentive and very friendly. Also in true New Orleans style, another customer who introduced himself as being from Vietnam asked us if we needed any help on how to add the fresh condiments to the Pho. Which were a bit pricey for appetizers, but tasted good. My mother disagree about the taste, she did not like the rolls at all. We ordered the special pho (Pho Dac Biet). Which was really good and my mother agreed. Their menu did not have any other noodle soup dishes (like hu tieu, bun rieu, bun bo hue, etc), it was straight to the point with just pho, rice dishes, and appetizers. My husband really enjoyed his pho and so did I. We didn't add any hoisin sauce, just lime and herbs was enough for us, since the broth was so flavorful and delicious. Updating and bumping to five stars because not only do I now eat here once or twice a month, but it's my favorite place for Pho and I had the BEST PHO OF MY LIFE yesterday! So, let me start by telling you what I get. I go with #14 which is the eye of round and brisket. I have found that this combo has the most flavor and adds the most flavor to the broth. It's so amazingly good and for some reason, yesterday it was the best I have ever had. I mean, the best Pho I have ever had in my life! I have no idea what they did. It's always super good, but it was ultra good this time. I also get the pork rolls, which I really like because they include a huge piece of pork and are ultra generous with the greens. An order of spring rolls and a small bowl of Pho is definitely more than enough for lunch. In short order I have found myself here alot in a month. It is really really good! My usual is a large bowl of pho nos. 12-14 Cant go wrong with them. I have had the chicken and its good, but I have this idea to eat that only when I am not feeling good. Nothing like chicken soup and this is turbo charged chicken soup!! The eye of round brisket is rolling ! I have had pho at several places on the westbank , but of them this one is really really good. I take into consideration the service speed and staff attitude as well. Being a fat American on the rush, they totally get me. I walk in, in .5 secs I am greeted and usually told to sit anywhere. In about a minute asked for drink order and food if I am ready. In under 5 minutes a huge beautiful bowl of steaming pho is in my face. A 15 min lunch is totally doable here. Also a quick glance around , at lunch time, you will see a wide mix of professions in here for the same reason. Fast wonderful food. Now if you have the time to linger and chew the fat , that is totally cool too. When it comes time to pay the bill, so far only once the super friendly and beautiful server mentioned she could take it for me. Usually I hop up and walk to the counter and pay. That looks like the norm anyways for pho places. You can imagine how tired my family and I are of eating at the same restaurant every Sunday. We had heard a new Viet place had opened up Manhattan a few weeks ago, but when we passed by two Sunday's ago to try it they weren't open. They remained unopened for some days after that. My parents each had a bowl of pho, while I had the shaken beef rice plate. I was so hungry from the festivities the days before that I cleared that plate away. The service was pretty quick, although they were busy and really had no time to peruse because you wanted your order to get in. The food came out in a timely manner which was a plus. They have a good amount of seating for guest that's divided into three separate rooms. Although I feel the table upon walking in could be moved because anyone who sits there is in the way of being brushed up by people who come in. Very nice people, great facility, free Wifi, plenty of parking, and a big screen TV on CNN news or the "Game of the Day". While I usually get Pho, the non-soup items on the menu are also great. Try the Grilled Pork Chop with a fried egg on top!! The clientele is usually about 50% Asian people, getting some home cooking!! Some Extra information: my observation is that Pho houses generally do not bring a check to the table. They keep all the bills at the cash register (who uses cash anymore?) and customers just get up and walk over to pay on the way out. I guess it's a cultural difference. read more

It was a busy friday night when I placed a pickup order. Arrived to the restaurant within ten minutes. I had ordered the Large Ph Tái Chín, and an order of the spring rolls. I love getting food from here because you can always split it and it is still enough for both people. Upon walking in we waited for our food about ten more minutes. I guess you can say it was kind of expected, I mean it was a weekend night, and it was peak dinner time. The restaurant was busy too. One of the girls working there saw us standing and told us we could just have a seat at a table (which was very nice) . Overall this is m favorite pho place on the west bank. I am on a major bun bo hue kick lately... I get on something for a while and have to try it everywhere I go that it's on the menu. It was pretty good here after I added some salt. It was a huge bowl for $8. So much that I ordered extra noodles to go and I have breakfast tomorrow... Don't judge me... I eat crazy things for breakfast and eat breakfast for dinner :^P it is what it is! All in all its not my favorite soup place but it's in the top 5. My boyfriend loves the pho but I find it slightly too sweet tasting for me. 4 stars! I give it 3.5 and he gives them 4 so I rounded up. Worth giving them a go!
