Vietnamese is always on the menu for me. I was doing a little shopping in the area before and since I'm hardly ever out this way, I decided to give this joint a go and I'm glad I did. I came in around 4:30 and there was only one other person dining inside but they had a little like of pick-up orders ready to go. Ngl, there was a bit of a odor when I walked in but it smelled more of cleaning supplies than foulness so, no points taken off for that, the smell did subside after sitting for a few minutes I noticed. The place was really clean, including the bathrooms so that's always a good look. It was a pretty straightforward process, I went in, sat at the bar, my server was really polite, I knew what I wanted so I had no questions. It's all about the food tho. I started with a Thai Tea because I friggin cannot not get one of those, an order of the shrimp steamed buns and the pork and rice plate. We have the best Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam down here, there's no question about it. Almost any place that you go to will have Vietnamese food that is a level eight and above. The shrimp buns were phenomenal. The Thai tea was delicious, the pork and rice was exactly what I wanted. I will say, though the pork was slightly, SLIGHTLY overcooked, but the flavors really brightened up the dish. The sticky rice was a perfect consistency and the sauce that came with the salad was next level. I even poured some of it over my pork and it just elevated everything that much more. During the time I sat there at least five or six other pick up orders came in so that's a good sign, I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for Vietnamese. The staff is friendly there wasn't a long wait time although I was only in there with one of the person. They have plenty of TVs with different things on each channel so I'm sure they'll have something that will pique your interest. All in all, it was a no hassle experience and I would definitely be back 8.5 out of 10, great job everyone! read more

Food is good and consistent. Waitstaff, one guy in particular was in a bad mood during lunch rush and refused to reprint my receipt that I needed for work. It was an office lunch pickup so we have to show the itemized receipts. I asked two others for assistance and he swore they didn't speak English and couldn't help me. The younger guy attempted to assist me but the rude man said he was new and trained by him so if he didn't know how to do it how could the young man. The young man then went to the back and got the owner or manager for me who happily and easily assisted me with reprinting my receipts that I didn't receive at check out. Will be back because it's good and by the office and one bad day for a worker won't detour me from enjoying these convienent and tasty bites read more

I realized this spot is a mile from my gym and opens early at the exact time I finish my workouts.. this could be a "problem". Cool, casual, clean and well lit, this is a large space offers lots of seating at a countertop or tables. The service is great! Sat right away, order taken, water brought. Everyone is friendly and looks like they are working hard. I ordered the combination pho. Delicious and lots of meat! Good portions, I barely finished half. There is an option for a small portion which I'll probably get next time. Yesterday I ordered to-go for a friend and myself. I wanted to try the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef stew). I opted to substitute pho noodles for the round noodles because I like the pho noodles better. While not spicy it was very good with lots of flavor. This soup only comes in one size and there was lots of meat. It did not have pate or blood cake in it though so I was a little bummed but overall very good. I would order again for sure. I also got the lemongrass tofu - again, not spicy but excellent flavor and texture. I will be dining here a lot. read more

Pho was very flavorful. I had the small size but it still was a huge serving! The lemongrass chicken wings were the best! We've never had that chicken wing flavor before. I guess when we came in they were a bit understaffed because service was a bit slow. read more

Was told to sit anywhere. Sat at the table for 15-20 minutes or more and no one spoke to me. Other customers came in and their orders were taken. Person next to me got food that looked very overcooked and they waited for the waitress to acknowledge them but that was not happening. I was craving vietnamese and this place was in reach since i was doing some shopping nearby. Its a chain...i know...dont judge me. My meal was fine. Nothing to write home about. I had shrimp rolls and beef pho. The flavor of the soup was pretty good but some of my fixings didnt appear to be super fresh. The casing on the rolls was a bit stubborn but i enjoyed the peanut dipping sauce. Plenty of free parking out front and the staff was efficient and friendly. Came here for lunch one day and had a bowl of pho with my husband. We both got the pho with meatballs and it was pretty quick service but wasn't all that attentive. This pho didn't taste as great or authentic as I was hoping but the food was still decent. It was a quick fix for pho but with all the local places that offer pho around here, I think I would be fine not coming here again anytime soon. read more

I used to love this place when I worked in the building across from it. It has definitely changed. The pho is still as good as it was before, but the veggies that they give you were not as fresh as they used to be. The Vietnamese po boys' bread was not what I remembered & the pork was dry. When I was hunting for a spot to go to lunch with the parents over in their neighborhood, this spot popped up. Since I had been to their new food truck recently (and Yelp deleted my new listing and collapsed it with the bricks and mortar spot on Carrollton, GRRRR). I thought why not. They had good accessibility for my not so mobile Dad. And the staff was really sweet and helpful which I appreciate. I had the veggie pho which was a huge amount and really tasty. My spring rolls with avocado and tofu were large and the tofu was fried really beautifully. Dad had the egg roll and grilled shrimp sliders (aka bacos) both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. Mom had the some of our apps and then had the grilled pork bun which she said was delicious and it was also a large portion. Mom is a bubble tea convert (gotta love the adventurous seniors) and got an avocado one with tapioca and said it was tasty. I got a strawberry lemonade and it was tart with big chunks of strawberries. Definitely would pass back by for a meal. And I like that they have bar seating since I prefer that when dining alone. read more

I've never had oxtail pho and after searching on Uber eats I found this. I ordered that it comes with oxtail/brisket and combination vermicelli chicken pork and shrimp. With the Pho you get one oxtail but it's very meaty and you get a lot of brisket it's very filling and delicious. Would definitely order again. read more

First experience at Pho Bistreaux and all I have to say is wow! Hands down my new favorite Vietnamese joint in the whole area. The inside was fairly new, modern, and clean. Welcoming environment with a friendly staff. Pork Belly Sliders: 8/10 Perfect portion with noticeably fresh ingredients. The pork belly was under salted but still had a good taste. A little chili oil added was a cherry on top. Vihn's Combination Pho: 10/10 Easily a top 3 contender for the best tasting pho I've ever had. The broth was packed with a variety of flavors, adding lime, mint leaves, and chili oil only added even more complexity to a near perfect bowl of broth. All of the meat was super tender and at the right temperature, by no means over cooked which is easy to do in bowls of pho due to the hot broth. I can't wait to come back and get some more! Grilled Pork and Shrimp Vermicelli : 10/10 Tender, well seasoned shrimp and pork in large portions sitting in a big bowl of fresh vegetables and noodles with a fried egg and cup of fish sauce. The pork belly was phenomenally moist and tender, and the bun was a fresh and bouncy sponge for all the delicious juice running off the pork. For my entree, I ordered the grilled pork vermicelli, and of course, added an egg roll. Again, wow! Not only was the pork fresh and flavorful, boy was it plentiful! I ordered by UberEats because the reviews said Pho Bistreaux was good at packing the food. I guess they didn't bother when packing my food because it took zero effort for me to untie the knot in the bag it came in. I could only hope that my food wasn't tampered with. I ordered the pork spring roll and it was awful. I've had it before, so not sure what happened. The outer covering was tough and I couldn't chew it at all. The vermicelli inside was lumped together in spots. It was also cold. I ended up throwing them in the trash...wonder if they're pre-made or something? I also had the Vietnamese Grilled Beef Poboy. So I stopped here knowing it wasn't the best pho. It was the only place close by and I just really wanted pho and my 3 yr old likes it. After finding a hair in my bowl and calling the server over, he just says sorry and takes my bowl. At no point did he ask if I wanted anything else. I was sharing this bowl with my son. He comes right back with my bill. My 3 year old didn't understand why I took his "soup" and tells the server "I'm hungry and want some more soup". The server puts the bill down, laughed, and walked away. After going to the one on Carrollton, I decided to try this one since it is closer to where I live. One thing that I noticed is that this one serves wine, so I dined in alone. I wanted to order the tofu sliders as an app since I LOVE the ones at the other Pho Bistreaux. I learned that the one in Elmwood uses fish sauce on their tofu. I requested no sauce, and it still came out with fish sauce. I was not happy. I order the vegetarian pho, and it was ok, but I kept noticing this smell of seafood. I thought maybe it was the other table. Nope, there was some small pieces of shrimp in my pho. I don't eat seafood AT ALL, and my husband is highly allergic. I am so glad that he wasn't with me. The server as extremely apologetic. She comp my order, and remade the meal. One night I had a craving for pho. Well, I am always down for pho. I didn't feel like driving to New Orleans, so I ordered takeout. The young lady made sure that there was no fish sauce, and it was vegetarian. The pho was really good this time. Got some pick up from here on a Friday night. I was not feeling well at all and needed something for my throat. I got a large pho with meatballs,brisket, and round eye. We also ended up getting the spring rolls . I just was not that impressed with the pho or the spring rolls from here. The noodles seemed to be whatever and the meat in the spring rolls seemed to be over cooked . Overall I would probably get the pho again but for appetizer def try something else . The people that worked there were very nice and the restaurant seemed to be packed as well. They prepared my order very fast. I'm not sure why the pho just tasted different.
