This place is new to the neighborhood. That makes it automatically neat and clean, for now. We'll see how it is in the next couple of years. Worst pho place I've ever been to. More Expensive than The pho places I go to in California. Tasted like cheap store bought ramen. I usually go to pho places all over the greater Los Angeles area where the bowls are bigger the broth is fresher & more savory and the rent they have to pay to make food is more expensive. They make you go up and get the far at the counter every place I've ever been out they bring it to your table and this is California where customer service isn't that great. Came here because of the high reviews, but I have no idea why the reviews are so high. The broth here is bland and has absolutely no flavor. It tastes very diluted and lack the flavor of richness in the broth. As a person with Vietnamese background, I would not recommend to come here. The pho is not very authentic at all. The meat and noodles were good, but the broth was not. The broth really makes or breaks the pho and this broth broke it! Also, tables are dirty. Being in the military, I've been all over the world and pho/Vietnamese food is something I always look for. This place is one of the best places to eat Pho. Not only is the food delicious, the staff and owners are very kind to their customers. My wife and I, tried this place when they first opened (2 years ago)when we were new to the area, and we were not disappointed! Steven, the owner, greeted us at the door and even gave samples of some of his menu items. The food was delicious and we've been coming back ever since! It's the only place we go to for Pho when we have cravings. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I was recommended to this place for the Vietnamese iced coffee --- tried to go back and get one on Friday but they were closed. I ordered the rare filet and brisket pho. The food was delivered quick was good because I was in a hurry to get on the road again. The bowl of pho was sub par. The service was what got the low score. A man who did not seem like an employee ask if my daughter needed anything when she walked toward the beverage station in a very stern attitude. I asked if we needed a key to use the restroom. We've been 3 times. The first was ok. Second meh, third time the last. Pho broth has had little flavor the first two times, and practically no flavor this last time. Noodles were mushy, the meat tough. Brisket was like chewing sawdust. We have ordered different varieties every time, just to try the proteins. We have also ordered various banh mi, all are so-so. We also ordered fried spring rolls on this occasion, which we have had many times and have made at home many times. They came out white and RAW- not rare-COMPLETELY RAW. It's the closest and quickest location for Vietnamese food near me but not my preference. Parking and location are convenient but can definitely fill up when busy, especially with all the other restaurants in the same strip mall. I've ordered most of the pho, sandwiches, and noodle salads. Pretty tasty, but pho lacks a certain taste I'm used to with pho. Sandwiches are pretty good because who doesn't love a good sandwich? I ordered lunch today at noon with credit card and added a small tip. I was not given any info about delays or the kitchen being behind. After sitting down, I realized there were 14 people waiting for food sitting in the restaurant. After 15 min, I stood looked to get a refund so I could get back to work, but no one was at the counter, so I waited. At 12:50 I was told they didn't have the ingredients for my sandwich so I asked for a refund and told them they should have said something when I ordered. They gave me a cash refund (not back on my card) and didn't apologize or have any response for the delay. I ended up getting no lunch and was late for my meeting. So far so good from 2 visits. I've had the Banh Mi and the brisket/meatball Pho as well as boba teas each time. My Banh Mi was average but I'm going to keep going back and trying other varieties. Hopefully it was just a one-off since it wasn't too flavorful. Or maybe I'll tell them I want double cilantro. The bread is excellent however. I thought the Pho was delicious. Pho Banh is not only the tastiest Vietnamese food I've had in a long time but it's been the friendliest restaurant my family has been to since moving to Utah a couple years ago from Japan. Steven, the owner, and his wife are so personable and really show how much they care about their customers. The food is always fresh. Even the smoothies are made from real fruit and the boba made from scratch so you're not getting an over-sugary drink. From time to time, Steven has offered us small samples of foods and drinks so their variety keeps us coming back!! People in Layton don't know pho about pho. Just some humor before I tell you about my 1 star review. I was really excited about this place. Excited that Layton finally had another pho place besides Kim Long (hers makes me sick) and even more excited after reading everyone's reviews and seeing all of their pictures. This pho was not good. It just wasn't. My vegetables were fresh, but my rare beef was weird, brisket was tough and the broth had no flavor. I ordered spring rolls on the side. They were good, but sooo small. I wish they had been bigger. The young gentleman that helped us was very nice and I may give them another try (for a sandwich, not pho) just because of him. Great little Banh Mi/ Pho shop. I only tried a Banh MI, the Vietnamese Traditional. It's was wonderful. Toasted baguette, nice fresh pickle and cilantro and good amount of meat. I also had a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It was fine but I felt there is a little bit too much ice. read more

My husband and I just returned from having lunch at Pho Banh. We were both so pleased with our visit, I immediately wanted to write a review, which rarely happens. We both ordered the rare beef Pho. It was delicious. Some of the best Pho we've had in Davis County. We have been on the hunt for a nearby Vietnamese restaurant we can frequent, and I think we finally found it. Great portions, good prices, and good food! It is a self-service restaurant, so you can take care of your own needs as you see fit. Downsides? It's a small location, but worth squeezing into. Also, I couldn't find a high chair for my baby. Maybe I'm blind, but I don't think they have any. I did, however, see booster seats. We just held our baby, and it turned out fine. Just when I had decided I liked the place enough to come back in the future, something happened. My two year old accidentally dropped his teriyaki chicken bowl (which he was devouring). I went to clean it up, and they were so nice and insisted I leave it. They rushed out with a broom and mop, and cleaned it up in one fell swoop. Someone else also immediately brought him out more teriyaki chicken to replace what fell. In my opinion, that is going above and beyond!! That is just great customer service if you ask me!
