From Yelp reviews, we started the gastronomic adventure with lunch at Pad Thai. After a pleasant meal, I inquired as to where I could locate an Asian grocery store. The lovely lady tending us directed us to Z World Express. It took a couple of passes up and down Main street looking at both ends of the RV lot we were directed to look for before spying the brick building with red white and blue sign. Not much to see from the outside, no hint that groceries are there, but on inside, jackpot!! This place is packed floor to ceiling with tiny aisles you have to squeeze through. There is a nice representation of Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and some Indian selections. There are several chest freezers filled with a plethora of frozen seafood. The back wall is a bank of coolers with a nice selection of fresh veggies, Fresh Pho Noodles, and other tasy treats. I picked up Tom Yum soup base, Masaman Curry Paste, coconut cream, Thai Tea, instant Pho broth, Mabo Tofu sauce and a nice selection of snacks. Prices are actually a little less than what I am used to paying in Seattle, another nice bonus. The owners were very engaging and very helpful. I ordered the Pad Thai with vegetables and tofu with no egg. The sweet lady who cooks happened to take my order that afternoon, and she reassured me that her vegan Pad Thai was prepared on strictly vegan surfaces. First of all, the portion is HUGE. She lines the clamshell styrofoam container with tin foil which I appreciate - there's nothing worse than getting an order in styrofoam with the bottom melted into my food - and PACKED it full of Pad Thai. The Pad Thai comes with huge chunks of broccoli, cauliflower, marinated tofu (I just about died from deliciousness)! Even if veggies aren't your thing, it's so well flavored, you'll crave it. I ordered the panang curry for my husband, and it's a good thing I went with a double order because he loved every bite. The lime leaves flavored the broth beautifully and the amount of chicken is unbelievable. Try it. Seriously... try it.

I asked about their spice levels, which go 1-5. They said if I had had Thai hot things, 5 would be fine. And it was just fine! Great flavor, good rice and a portion that you could share. I got some massaman curry chicken to take for the folks back home, at a medium spice. This is a family favorite and this was a good rendition. We would opt for a higher spice level next time, that's just how we roll. Service was attentive but not overbearing. My water glass never ran dry :-) A nice setting and we will be back.

The steak pho's broth was good, but it didn't come with a lot of veggies. I am Vietnamese so I expected a lot of veggies on the side. You want to make your pho smell full of that veggie plus pho smell. Despite there not being a lot of veggies, it was okay. There were three things I didn't like about the pho. One, the noodles were cut. This should never be the case. All pho noodles should never be precut. And two, they never gave out chopsticks. You had to ask for them. So I'm assuming you expected everyone to eat with forks? Is that why the pho noodles were precut? Three, there weren't a lot of meat with the steak pho- maybe 4 pieces in total. The egg roll though was really good. I love the large egg roll piece. It was perfectly fried and there was a lot of filling in it. I would say that the egg roll was the star of the meal.

Who would've thought that curry and pizza would go together? Pad Thai was really good. Lots of flavor and very fresh ingredients. Tom Yum Kai has just the right amount of spice and was incredibly flavorful. You can taste the lemongrass and a hint of fish sauce. We also ordered the chicken satay.
