The owner and servers are all friendly and it's clean. The food is all steaming hot and good. It's the best place to go for inexpensive place to eat with lots of choices. They do have Senior Price for us and that's sure is a bonus. I will always go back here. It's not too far from all the casinos and it's worth a try. read more

It's pretty good as buffets go, particularly with the varieties. I enjoyed the sushi with plenty of pickled ginger--I'm addicted and might almost make a meal of that alone. The teriyaki chicken skewer and the honey chicken were tender and tasty. Udon noodles were more tasty than the fried rice Other favorites, General Tso and Sesame chicken and coconut shrimp had overcooked by the time we tried them. We'd missed the fresh versions of some items. Desserts we enjoyed, a custard, mocha layers and puddings, but I heard my wife say some were not as good as she needed them--the didn't fit the carb/potassium budget for the lack of flavor. My tolerances are higher and I cleaned my dessert plate. Like many restaurants, your dining experience depends on your timing alongside who's cooking and when. This place was TERRIBLE. It is the stereotypical make-a-hog-of-yourself buffet of food that is fried, drowning, or both. Shrimp was boiled in straight water. There was quite an array of choices for soups, entrees, and desserts. Highlights were the "smoked" salmon, green beens, and flan. The end. Service was fine; the place was clean. We came to eat here for dinner and restaurant was pretty empty. We got the buffet and helped ourselves. All the woman did was bring us our drinks and check. We didn't tip much obviously because we did pretty much everything by ourselves. We hand her the check upside down and then she proceeds to flip it over and look at the check and question our tip as if we owed her more money as if we sat down and she took our order and brought out our food. read more

I most love China Flag for one of their fried shrimp choices, the lightly battered smaller shrimp that is peeled except for the tip of the tail. Their snow crab legs are also very popular and I must admit that I have eaten plate-fulls of them. They have the best fried frog legs around. Their sesame chicken is also very good. My son and I have contests on who can peel and eat the most of their boiled shrimp in a given amount of time. I sometimes let him win. China Flag has a decent hibachi too. The employees are professional and efficient at refilling your drinks and removing the plates you are finished with. Their very limited sushi selections have increased in quality from downright scary to very mediocre. I would highly recommend skipping their sushi if that is what you are in the mood for and going to Sumo's Supreme Buffet on Youree Dr. beside Red Mango or going to a real dedicated sushi restaurant. read more

I've gone here since the place opened/have brought countless family/frtiends both near/far.They changed managers/things were not the same.The one at the front is mean,impolite.which recently transferred to two of the waitresses....one of which snatched the glass out of my hand when I requested a refill.This was addressed to the manager who wasn't moved by the incident.The manager had the audacity to want to see my driver's license in order to get the senior discount.God has graced with good genes/I don't look my age.I don't have to lie about my age nor my family. member who was with me.(Strike 3).We were appalled by this negative behavior./unprofessionalism.We won't be spending our monies here..With these kinds of negative attitudes they'll lose more customers' business. read more

My wife and I went here Thursday evening about 8:30pm. They were closing the hibachi grill and started pulling food from the line. I complained about paying full price for a buffet that I couldn't get food I wanted. They didn't care and wouldn't give me a discount or anything. My wife and I usually go here a few times a month. Don't eat at this restaurant. We ate lunch on Valentine's day and was charged supper price. There was not a sign saying we would be charged more only one that said Valentine's day all day dinner. This used to be a great restaurant. It is now dirty, sticky and the floors dirty. The fried crab rangoon was too tough to bite or chew; my adult children enjoyed something from the grill with noodles. Unfortunately my teenage grandchildren suffered through the buffet food with me. Tasteless and tough. The BBQ chicken on sticks were so tough we couldn't eat it; the sesame chicken was funny and awful. My favorite Chinese food buffet in Bossier City is now in Shreveport and I could not be more pumped!!!! This new restaurant is located on Bert Kouns in front of Wal Mart in the old Vince's South Port restaurant building which was the chain BBQ restaurant, Tony Roma's before that. I come here all the time and I love it. No matter what time you go they are always bringing out me platters of fresh food. They have a grill with delicious food on the grill. The soup is excellent and the desserts are a wonderful variety They and a very good carry out special everyday. They also have very fresh sea food. read more

However, if you go to China Flag at around 1 p.m. or so it's great. They have a large selection of food with just about anything you can think of. I live across the street from them and they don't seem to be too busy on weekdays. This pandemic crap is really hurting businesses and shutting many of them down. My wife and I used to live in Bossier and went to the Bossier location many times. We live in west Shreveport now and never go to Bossier anymore. We have been to the Bert Kouns location about 8 times since we moved, it is always good. Went to China flag tonight for the first time. Was skeptical after reading all the mixed reviews. And now I can confidently say out of my own experience. That China flag was hands down the best Chinese and service I have received in northern Louisiana. Everything was tasty and delicious. The service was prompt and polite. And the dining area was well kept and clean along with the buffet itself. They were restocking as we were taking and the lines were kept neat and clean.my family and I truly enjoyed ourselves tonight and look forward to our future dining out experiences here. read more

My evaluation of China Flag Buffet . It is to oriental food what McDonalds is to a really good burger joint! I took small samples of many things. Avoid the bar-b-q ribs unless you brought a food grinder to chew it for you. Same for some of the beef dishes. Apparently parboiling is not popular in China. If you wear dentures, avoid it at all costs! Sushi tasted fishy, but so do raw shiners. I'll let you decide. Egg drop soup needed a touch of soy sauce as I needed a little extra salt to replace my electrolytes. You will leave full for cheap. Tea was a buck seventy something and service OK. Three middle eastern women were having a large and loud time in their native tongue next to us. Next craving will result in a trip to Imperial Cathay . Now you know. read more

Service was good. The staff seemed nice enough but could have smiled more. They all kind of seemed like they were bored or something. Zombies come to mind. The food was ok. Nothing to brag about. We samples a little bit of everything but passed on the tentacule type stuff. Also we didn't try the hibachi bar. The suchi was alright but not great. The best part was the shrimp. It was missing some things we usually eat and are served at the bossier location. Overall, we had a decent experience but we will stick to the bossier location. Side note...we ate on a Sunday night.
