    bún riêu

Came here on Sunday afternoon for lunch and it was super easy to get to from the T station (Fields Corner). About a 7-8 minute walk away. There were plenty of tables and they were quick to seat us and take our orders. I got the bún riêu and it was very flavorful. I would have appreciated if the menu noted that it was imitation crab. It was a very large serving. We also got the pork spring rolls which were very tasty with a good amount of crunch. The space is large and there is lots of space between tables. I would visit again.

This is one of the best Authentic Vietnamese food in town. We love all dishes here. Clean dining area and nice service.

Best Bún thịt nướng and com tam around Dorchester IMO. Service is fast with little to no waiting time. Solid Vietnamese food al around.

This restaurant is very spacious and they were able to seat a group of 12 immediately on a Saturday at noon. We parked on the street as there was free 2 hours parking. I ordered the pho dac biet and was not disappointed. The small size was perfect for me, even though the large is only a dollar more, I didn't want to waste food in case I couldn't finish the large bowl. I wish there were a few more pieces of meat, but overall the pho was really good and the broth tasted clean, not oily. This restaurant is similar to other pho restaurants I've been to so I was very satisfied with my meal.

Incredible value. Had a vegan option for my wife, she loved it. Good beer and sake options, really good appetizers -- i got the number 60, a bunch of stuff in there. Felt incredible authentic and priced affordable Would recommend

Delicious pho and drinks in a nice casual setting. The pho here is among the best I've had, but there were some brisket pieces that were too fatty in my opinion. We also got an avocado smoothie and a taro one and both were refreshing and the right amount of sweetness. Would come again if I'm in the area.

Second time here after a great massage down the street at the school. Got the shrimp spring rolls and the special Hue pho noodles which were really good! Friendly neighborhood joint with nice staff and good ambiance. Would recommend making a Fields Corner trip for it!

Pho Hoa has so many classic Vietnamese dishes that I'll need to come back and try more. I came on a Saturday around lunchtime and was seated right away. It's a large space that can accommodate all kinds of groups. I got the House Special Vermicelli Bowl and a Thai Iced Tea. The food was amazing and tasted fresh. There were so many great flavors mixed together, that I ended up eating almost the whole thing.

Surprised by low rating! The dishes were great and prices are reasonable. Three of us got veggie, chicken and beef phos, with veggie and spring rolls, and avocado smoothies + limeade. All of them were delicious and service was quick. This place is also huge, so there was no wait at all. I'd come back!

Their Pho and rice plates are great and a perfect meal to have on a cold day. Parking is street only but we had no issues when we came here on a Sunday late afternoon! Items we ordered (as of 2/2024) - #46 Pho Noodle Soup w/ Eye Round Steak, Brisket, Flank, Fatty Flank, Tendon, & Tripe (Regular size) - $13.95 - Great flavor to the broth and noodles were cooked perfectly. Great portion size for the regular! - #6 Spring Roll Tasting - $7.95 - If you're unsure which spring roll to get then go for this one! (My favorite was the pork meatball springroll). - #100 House special rice plate - $15.95 - This plate is huge! The flavors of everything was great. I do wish the pork was a bit thicker but it still had plenty of delicious fatty goodness to it! I'd get this one again.

Pho with a cockroach in it. Gross

I've been going to Anh hong for almost 10 years. Now I started going to Pho Hoa because of their affiliation for almost 3 years now. I love the place , the staff and the food. I've never had a negative experience there until tonight. We just came from out of state trip picked up our usual order of pho and found a cockroach in our food. We immediately called them and I understand due to a third party ordering service they were unable to remediate the situation for us. This is extremely gross, unacceptable and disappointing for us and we will never return to this restaurant ever again. Please look at your food before eating here.

This place is hands down the best Pho restaurant in Dorchester. That's saying a lot with all the Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The price, quality of food, and portion sizes makes this place my top option when I'm in the area.

Came here looking for a hangover cure. We were pleased to find plenty of tables open as they weren't very busy on a Friday morning. As a result, we got seated right away by the friendly hostess. I got their nitro coconut shake which was creamy and sweet. Their pho was only okay as it lacked a depth of flavor and cattiness to it. The rest of the staff were beyond nice and helpful even so. Because of this, I may or may not come again to try other items from their menu or perhaps if this was an off day for them.

I don't think the prices on their menu are justified for the big portions they serve! Yes, they give plentiful ingredients for lower than standard menu price compared to my local area. I don't go to Dorchester often, so I am not sure if the other Vietnamese restaurants within its vicinity have similar price range. But this restaurant is definitely worth checking it out as it has a decent selection to order. I had Bun Bo Hue and my friend had #75 Crab Noodle Soup with Water Spinach. Bun Bo Hue was not spicy, was on the sweeter side, but it was flavorful! They provided me a saucer of chilly oil to adjust spicy level to my liking. #75 was good as well and like I stated it had plenty ingredients (at an affordable price)! If you like fermented seafood broths with a lot of seafood, go for the bun mam dac biet. The quantity of seafood in the latter was astounding. If you love blood cakes, you will get a ton of those in the bun bo hue. All in all, I loved going to this place and would visit again. You should give this place a visit.

The spring rolls arrived within 5 minutes--two rolls, cut in half. The rice paper was springy enough, the sesame sauce wasn't watery, and the shrimp wasn't overcooked or old. I don't need to ask for much else at a neighborhood pho joint. The bun bo hue arrived a bit after I finished the spring rolls. The noodles were springy, the broth piping hot so the bean sprouts wouldn't sap too much heat, and the portion size was decent. I enjoyed all the beef tendon, but it was missing the pork blood and the funkiness of chili crisp that usually defines bun bo hue. The bun bo hue itself is a miss by its own definition, but still a solid beef noodle soup. That's the primary reason for 3* instead of 4*. Not a bad place though, especially for the price point. I'd come back.

Super friendly staff. The menu is much smaller than before. I actually like menus with minimal dishes. 15-20 options is good so you'll know what to decide. I walked up to the Vietnamese sub station where a gloved lady was restocking some cold cuts and waited to order my lunch for $4.50. A sign posted informed me that if I had the appetite, I could have gotten one of Chau's sandwiches free if I were to order 10. The crisp roll seemed a tad larger than what I was used to. It wasn't toasted, but was spread with lots of the creamy white spread, before a generous portion of the beef I requested was added. The sub was also well filled with a sauce, scallions, pickled carrots and daikon, and cucumber. I had asked them to omit the spicy and cilantro, and to go heavy on the veggies. A second lady behind the counter took my $5 and gave me my change. My order was handed to me in a bag complete with a couple of napkins.
