    BANH CANH CUA

Although they seem to get less business compare to Ba Le, their crab noodle soup (banh canh cua) is to die for! Thick rice noodles with crab meat and fried pork skin. It's amazing! The broth is rich and flavorful . Other than that, I usually do settle for their traditional Vietnamese sub which isn't bad. Make sure to ask them to toast your bread! It's a plus!

Best banh mi I've ever had & I've been to the night markets in Vientiane in Laos. The bread is less crunchy then other places, it has some give to it. Vibe inside seems very authentic. 5 stars highly recommended.

I wish the locals reviewed on here more since I saw a lot of people eating here. I initially went into the other side to grab some stuff to go like a banh MI but then I had the pleasure of seeing everyone eat a deconstructed noodle dish, therefore I had to try it. I got the HU TIEU NAM VANG KHO. If you don't include the KHO part then you will get a noodle soup dish. KHO means dry in vietnamese which essentially means a deconstructed noodle soup with the soup on the side instead of being inside the bowl with everything else. What an amazing dish, it is full of flavor and is well balanced with all of the ingredients inside. It comes with a soy sauce based sauce on the side and then your soup. The Sauce is to be added into the noodles if you feel like you need to add more flavor to your bowl. It has a variety of ingredients, from shrimp to quail eggs, char sieu pork , squid, and a fish cake . When you mix this up with some of the sauce on the side. It's such an amazing experience. This is perfect for a nice summer day because you get to enjoy the entirety of this dish without the soup making you sweat and drip all over. I can't say much about their other dishes because I haven't tried them yet, but I think I've found what's good here! There's a bunch of vietnamese places in Dorchester and typically they all have a pretty extensive menu. But the reality is that each spot is typically good for a few things imo. And for me this is it so far!!! I encourage you to try the other hu tieus in their KHO form if you don't like the ingredients inside the hu tieu Nam vang. I'm sure it's good too!

Pho tai (beef noodle soup) and beef spring roll with peanut sauce

The pho tai (beef noodle soup) was really good, came with mint and bean sprouts as add-ins on the side. The real show stopper was the beef spring roll, they were tender and fresh. At dinner time, it was not too crowded so the food was served quick and the waitress was attentive.

I LOVE THIS PLACE- literally home, from home. I love the authenticity, & I know sometimes it's a language barrier but everyone works to accommodate and try to cater to everyone! I've been here 102637101x and not once had a bad dish!

Fantastic. Ordered the clay pot pork with scallions and fresh ginger. It had the flavors of my childhood memories of Asian food. Fresh Spring rolls are fresh. Fresh. Fresh. Soups are varied. Tea is very good. This is the real deal. It's in a strip mall next to the Asian food market. It's a bit of a dump. The waiter may or may not understand you. Working class clientele. I love it. But, it is. A bit greasy. Nevertheless go find it and try it !

    Authentic Vietnamese, fresh and affordable.

I enjoy getting their cold cut banh mi with extra butter and pate! I like that their baguettes are not too thick and are quite flaky. The bread to filling ratio is perfect each bite. Every time I visit, I always get a cold cut banh mi, nem, and sugarcane juice or an iced coffee. Super quick service. The line can seem daunting at times, especially in the early morning or lunch time but I promise it does move fast!

Two cups of fresh sugarcane and I'm good to go! Prices go up, as cost of goods go up. Still a bargain compared to other sandwiches you get for more money! Filling is always generous, you want extra butter pate? Just say so yes it cost a little more but they don't just give u a tiny bit, they smack it on your sub. The tall handsome guy at the register is always cool as hell! We also get jerky and nem with the pepper pretty frequently. Nice snack when you got class or work. I've gone out and tried so many other people's favorites because they wanted to hate on BaLe, and honest opinion lol, those other places don't even come close. They have long lines here during lunch rush or morning rush, but it moves. The bread is fresh every day. I'll just stick to my day 1. Thanks. But ayyyeee bring in more nem nuong for my custom sub haha jk.

The menu is extensive with a variety of dishes but I opted to go for one of the more popular options, the BBQ Pork Chops (2). The dish ended up much bigger than I expected but overall I felt like the taste was okay. Some of the meat I received was quite fatty and the areas near the bone were still a bit red on the inside. Overall I'd rate my experience as okay - not something I'd necessarily seek out on my own.

It's a high-energy, quick-serve environment that is perfect for a casual lunch or a fast dinner before a show in the nearby Theater District. The Food: * Pho: The star of the menu is definitely the pho. The broth is decent and reliable, served in oversized bowls that are perfect for a hearty meal. * Bún Măng Vịt: We also tried the bamboo shoot and duck noodle soup. It was okay, but it didn't quite hit the same heights as the classic beef noodle soups. * Freshness: The herb plates are generally generous and fresh, which is a must for any good boba or pho experience. The Experience: The service is extremely fast--designed to get people in and out--which is helpful because this place is almost always busy. Despite the constant crowd, the staff handles the volume well. It's not the place for a long, lingering conversation, but it is exactly where you go when you want a steaming bowl of noodles without the wait.
