In town for the weekend and wanted to try a local place for dinner. Found Pho Kim's on Yelp and because of the great reviews decided to try it out. I called in an order of Banh Bao and Pho Tai Gai. The man that took my order was very friendly and said it would be ready in 15-20. When I arrived 20 minutes later it was packaged up and ready to go. The Banh Bao was about the size of a grapefruit, warm and pillowy soft. The roll was slightly sweet and perfectly complemented the pork and egg inside. The Pho was hot with the broth and all the fixings packaged separately. Lots of beef, noodles sprouts and seasonings. I could not finish it. Highly recommend try this place! read more

Excellent beef broth noodles and ginger chicken over rice. This place is superb and rivals the restaurants in Little Saigon just outside of Los Angeles. The owner is pleasant and upbeat despite the long hours of running a restaurant. And the other server looked like she had a long day, but was very diligent with serving, taking orders, cleaning, etc. We topped off dinner with dessert at 3B Ice Cream that is a 2 minute drive from the restaurant. We will be back when we visit Hershey Park. More people need to come eat here and support this hidden gem. read more

I feel like I'm in someones home, very nice. My food comes out quickly. Spring Rolls? Very tasty although I'm used to having them coming out burning hot? I also ordered my Viet hot coffee. Its hot, sweet and what I crave. Did you see my video? Thats condensed milk! Now my hot bowl of Pho comes to me along with all of the fixin's. I throw it all in, from the bean sprouts to the Jalapeños, all the sides in the pool. I let them all sit and let the flavors mingle. I dig in and take a bite. The meat? Was really really tough. Delicious is an understatement. My husband said that the bun tom ga he was served here was the best he's ever had. I had the chicken pad Thai, which was really lovely in its flavor, not too sweet, and came with lots of peanuts to mix in. Great pho, fast service. I could tell our waitress was overworked and stressed. We came for Sunday lunch and the restaurant was half-full and she was quite literally the only person running the restaurant (there were of course people cooking in the back) but she was the host, waited and served every table, and was running the food. I ordered pho with the raw steak and tripe - I asked for tendon to be added, and didn't realize it would be an extra $3 til I got the bill. Not a huge deal but I wish that was communicated beforehand as I didn't see anything about it listed on the menu. The bathroom was also located at the end of a long, dark, hallway which was quite creepy (refer to photo, that was taken once I got into the bathroom, but without the bathroom light it was pitch black). But the food was great - very clean and clear broth. The "large" pho is also quite bigger than the "regular" size so if you're feeling pretty hungry, it might be worth upgrading to the bigger size. read more

I visited here with a friend for lunch during the week. We arrived around 11:30 to miss the lunch rush. The place appears very clean and bright with lots of seating. We were able to get a close parking spot, but I can see how parking could become an issue as it is a cramped lot. I ordered the thinly sliced beef and brisket Pho. It was in beef broth and it was soooo good! The beef was very tender, (more tender than another Pho establishment I frequent) and the ingredients were very fresh. I was also not disappointed on the amount of beef and noodles that was in my bowl. This place is very quick and you can be in and out in a breeze. I think from the time we ordered til our food was brought out may have been a little over 5 minutes. Service was quick and drinks were refilled in a timely manner. Well back again and have been jonesin' for their food. We split fresh spring rolls. Their peanut sauce is nice and thick and comes with a little spoon to apply. Then shared a Bahn Mi. Then.. I have been to many Pho' establishments throughout the United States. Some were exceptional and some not taking the time it truly takes to make an outstanding broth. This was the first time at Pho' Kim's. The establishment was very clean and seating was fast and co for table. The owner, Dan was very personable and went above and beyond to please all patrons. The food.... This rates the highest of all establishments I have been too. From California (little Saigon) all the way to the east coast. Many of bowls I have had. But broth... the cleanest tasting, purist form I have ever had. I am new to this community and I will be making this my go too when I need my Pho' it is the greatest comfort food to me. While visiting PA from northern NH I was taken to an amazing restaurant. I've only had Vietnamese food one other time. This was far more superior. Service was excellent and food exceptional. At Pho Kim's -- Having a Vietnamese lunch appetizers consisting of fried egg rolls (A1) and fresh spring rolls (A2). Both were lite and fresh. Main lunch for Elena was B9; grilled shrimp and grilled pork over vermicelli rice noodles and vegetables. The pork was marinated in a teriyaki like marinade. I opted for S11: chicken pad Thai with carrots, bean sprouts, green onion and fried tofu topped with crushed peanuts and a rice vinegar sauce. Absolutely delicious. Run, don't walk, to get to this pho-nomenal viet eatery. The son who serves front of house is a sweetheart, but more importantly efficient, accurate, and knowledgeable. Our family had an amazing feast here while on vacation. His family serves up delicious, well prepared fresh food in plentiful portions. As a group we had the fried spring/egg rolls, shrimp and pork papaya salad and the steamed bao bun to start. The bun was fun, filled with ground pork, sliced sausage and an egg. One kid had the fried calamari which were nice and tender, not chewy at all. The other had a chicken pho, which was delicious with a perfect broth. Adults had the grilled pork vermicelli bowl which was a huge portion filled with fresh crispy veggies, super tender tasty marinated and grilled pork and side of fish sauce. We stuffed ourselves and had leftovers for the hotel the next day. We really enjoyed chatting with the son, and he told us how busy the place has gotten over the years. They used to prepare 100 gallons of pho broth every few days, but now make it continuously to meet demand. It takes 26 hours to get the perfect broth. For vegetarians they also offer a veggie option which apparently comes very close in flavor to their beef version. Standard casual atmosphere in an unassuming strip mall, with the best Vietnamese food around. We will definitely be back on our next trip! read more

Absolutely excellent pho chay! So many delicious veggies and the tofu was cooked well. Summer rolls wrapped tightly, with uniform packing so every bite is the same. A must! Food: I've had the vegetarian Pho from here twice to go. It sounds weird that you have to sort of cook it when you take it to go but I appreciate their attention to detail and reasoning for not serving it made. All you do is heat broth and add the veggies and tofu and sauces. Flavors are amazing and having failed us the many times we've ordered this dish. I also went with the vegetarian bun bi chay (s6) another win! I had no clue what I was ordering heated up the noodles a bit at home added the veggies and sauce after and tossed. Again great flavors and pleasantly surprised. Price: can't complain. You get so much food for the price both meals were enough to feed to ppl for 2 days. We had food left over for under $10 a meal. Service: the man who placed our order was honest about his knowledge of the food or lack and and funny. I appreciated the friendliness. Parking/wait time: parking lot available and food to order to takeout was 10 min wait Ambiance: very basic dining but don't be fooled by appearance food is great. Dan also made our fresh smoothies, which were SO GOOD. The food didn't disappoint, UNBELIEVABLE Pho, our table had 3 different kinds of Pho, and every one of them was delicious. Mine was with an incredibly rich and flavorful beef broth base. Best Pho I had in a very long time. My husband had the grilled pork on vermicelli, and our friends had vegetable Pho with tofu, and stir frys, everyone raved about the food. Try the vietnamese coffee! It slowly percolates right into your glass. Really cool! Quite a spacious dining room, with tables that can comfortably be arranged for bigger (6-10) parties, which is hard to come by with Covid. I walked in the restaurant after 7:30 pm, and there only one table occupied. I ordered Spring Roll and House Special Stirred fry mixed seafood (C17). They served the order within 5 min (lightning speed). The seafood was served in a super hot cast iron bowl over a bed a rice. The rice tasted crusty with the high heat from the bowl, and it absorbed all the flavor from the seafood with great taste. We went here yesterday, on Labor Day. There was only one employee working, apparently two others had called off last minute, and the place was absolutely packed. The phones were ringing and the online orders kept dinging. But the single employee serving and taking all of these orders was absolutely KICKING BUTT! You could tell he was exhausted and probably overwhelmed, but he didn't let it affect his attitude nor professionalism. He still treated every single person he interacted with with so much kindness and still was such an attentive server. Even with orders flying in and out of the kitchen, our food was incredible. I cannot express just how impressed we were! Our phos were exceptional and came out quickly even though the place was packed and they were getting so many take out orders. We waited a few minutes to initially be seated, but he told us that would be the case the second we walked in so there were no surprises there. He also was doing an incredible job bussing and keeping the restaurant clean even with how busy it was and working alone in the front of house. I couldn't recommend this place enough! I'm giving this a three star review right now because of the Banh Mi. I am going to go back again and try other items. There are lots of good reviews and lots of great photos. I have hopes that the next items I try will be much better. The Banh Mi was disappointing. The bun is short and chewy instead of long and crusty. There was very little meat (and it was very very sweet), the jalapenos were cut too thick (so the bites with them only tasted of jalapenos), the pickled carrots and radish were way too sweet, there was almost no cilantro. There was nothing on the bread - such as butter or pate so it was bland. The dish was syrupy sweet and lacked the balance of a good Banh Mi. I'm going to give their Pho a try on a future visit. If you want a Banh Mi - this isn't the right place to go. read more

Man it didn't disappoint. Next to an oriental market in a strip mall. Got the house special pho with everything and a4 their house special shrimp rolls (triangles). The large was huge and chock full of the usual goodies. The broth was nice and flavorful. The shrimp rolls were off the chain (do people say that anymore?). I ended eating both because I couldn't just leave one lonesome on the plate. It had that shattering initial crunch and the perfectly balanced pork, vermicelli, and shrimp filling. The waiter/host was absolutely amazing. Food is very good. He was the only one working the front during lunch time and there was a steady stream of customers. He had to split his time between takeout orders and 5 tables that were scattered across the restaurant and he still found time to check on us and refill our water. I ordered the #1 regular. Great portion and the broth was very rich. If I'm nitpicking, it was a little bit too salty but I still ate all of it. Ramen gets all the hype these days but pho is just as good. I also ordered a single porkchop that had amazing flavor. Just the right amount of char and sweetness. I regret not ordering a second one. The fried egg rolls were good. Very crispy. I do wish they provided small sauce dishes at the table. I didn't want to bother him for it. That's literally the only suggestion I have. Amazing find while road tripping back home from the Midwest. I've been craving Viet food and pho especially since everything shut down last year and this place did not disappoint. Appetizers were really good, especially the papaya salad. Pho was spectacular: broth was deep and rich in umami flavor and was loaded with meat. Totally hit the spot.
