Prepping the pho in the stone pot keeps the broth hot for longer, and experience that I quite enjoyed; but is not essential to a good bowl of pho. We also ordered a grilled chicken summer roll. Besides the usual ingredients like rice noodles and protein, there also included a deep fried rolled wrapper to add a crunch to the roll. I liked the touch, but my wife thought it was unnecessary. Today I was in a Ninja mood, looking to feed my inner turtle , so heading to Midtown Harrisburg to grab a good soul-warming soup was on my mind. I found myself at The LA Squared--a nice, well-lit restaurant that's the perfect spot for a date night, or lunch with friends and colleagues. The food came out fast and, of course, tasted amazing! That's actually part of the reason it took me so long to write this review--I had to make sure I remembered every single detail. I had a chance to use the restroom, and it was spotless. That always tells me a lot about how clean the kitchen might be! The food settled well, too, which is another great sign As a former truck driver, I know that if you have to use the restroom later down the road, you probably got some bad food . I've become a big fan of LA Squared Vietnamese Restaurant in Harrisburg. The food is consistently delicious, and the welcoming atmosphere keeps me coming back. A few highlights from my visits: The bánh mì sandwiches are excellent, packed with flavor and served on fresh, crispy bread. The avocado smoothie is a must-try. It's creamy, refreshing, and pairs perfectly with the food. Plenty of indoor seating, making it easy to dine comfortably whether you're stopping in for a quick lunch or a longer meal. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions about the menu. Clean, comfortable dining space with a relaxed atmosphere. While there isn't any outdoor seating, the spacious indoor dining area more than makes up for it. Overall, LA Squared is a great spot for authentic Vietnamese food in the Harrisburg area. If you're visiting for the first time, I highly recommend trying a bánh mì and the avocado smoothie. I'll definitely be back for both. read more

I am pretty familiar with Vietnamese food... figured I would give this place a try.... very glad I did. the fried shrimp/chicken eggrolls were fantastic! +1 you can get dumplings in the pho...The broth was very good... slight bit of sweatness in it, but strong flavor. I will be back! read more

Ordered from this place on Doordash. I added a note to please make sure I had utensils and sauce. I got neither. I also paid extra for protein (beef) and when I got my order, it was NOT extra beef. Before I gave them a negative review, I called them to express my concerns and she completely disregarded my complaint and told me they gave me extra meet. I asked her to tell me how much they used for a Tesla order and she was not able to answer that. Then she said "for regular order we put 6 pieces of meat, for Xtra meat we add double, like 12-13 pieces. Beef is very expensive now" And she had no regard for rectifying this order. Wow, haven't visited in years. Met a co-worker here for supper. The restaurant is much nicer: modern, cleaned up, more comfortable. Our food was amazing -- we both had pho and we shared an order of dumplings and vegetable egg rolls. Everything was ready quickly and tasted amazing. I often eat there, but the service is not great at all. I found a hair in my spring rolls, which was really disgusting -- but I understand that these things can happen. What bothered me more was how the waiter handled the situation. She didn't apologize; instead, she simply asked if I wanted a box to take my unfinished meal home. This is a very cute place! Went on a Saturday for lunch and we were able to sit right away. It's counter service and the people are very friendly. Ordered the chicken Pho and thai fried rice. Both were good; my chicken was very chewy and difficult to eat. The amazing broth made up for it. Great flavor on the thai fried rice, but honestly that was a bit pricey for what you get.. I ordered the grilled pork vermicelli noodle bowl. Meat was fatty and tough. Probably should've ordered a different protein. Owner saw I was couldn't eat it and did offer me a cup of tea. free. I would suggest getting better silverware and napkins. Knives aren't offered. Spare plates arent' available. Vegetables are pretty in the bowl but too large to eat. I recently stopped here to pick up take out, previously only had Door Dash. The Door Dash order was actually better than the pick up order for some reason. I had heard others talking about how this was their favorite go-to for pho, so I wanted to see the inside and get the vibe in person. It is tiny in there and not many parking spots next to the building so I parked on the street. I had called in so I waited for my order. There was a very friendly guy that waited on me, who was super busy. There was also some impatient people waiting and complaining about the wait, but you could clearly see they were really hopping in the kitchen. I was pleased they were selling Sriacha bottles which are like gold to me so I purchased one of those and I have been a happy camper! Anyhow, I ordered spring rolls and pho. The pho was okay, but the broth on the lighter side and not to rich of a flavor like I like. The toppings were also slim. The spring rolls were not super great, but I didn't dislike anything. Just compared to another place I frequent I didn't care for it as much. All in all, a nice place for locals so I can see how it is popular. read more

I love the concept, the involvement, Hire he interacts with and accommodate patrons, smiles warmly and does active engagement that means a lot. And the gift and service was great!
