This place is conveniently located walking distance for midtowners and doesn't have the overly inflated prices like many of the neighborhood restaurants. The service is fast when getting your food, but i find you have to wait a while for them to bring your check and usually end up having to flag someone down. The food is consistently good, so it's become my go-to for pho in midtown. read more

This is a great little lunch place close to the publix in west midtown. The broth isn't bad at all and the banh mi is quite tasty. It's not buford highway, which is what everybody says, but it's quite good and will do in a pinch. The only issue is that the service is verrry slow, and on quick lunch breaks that's been an issue several times. read more

She didn't want to explain things on the menu because it was our first time eating there (but not eating pho). Arrived with my family and I just want to note we are of African American decent. We were seated immediately and given menus. There was a few tables occupied in the restaurant but they weren't busy at all compared to all the workers that were just standing around talking. After 10 min of no one bringing us water or even coming to the table a family of asian decent was seated right next to us, they immediately received waters and even ordered AND received their food all while no one has even been to our table. So I actually had to get up and tell one of the employees that at this point we've been seated for 10min with no water and we have been ready to order. We were then brought waters and our orders taken. When our food arrived at the table which the pho had a decent flavor but I have had so much better , they are nothing to rave about at all in the sense I wouldn't come out of way to make it back here and the spring rolls at very weird texture inside that I cannot think of what it was but just did not taste good in my opinion, anyway after receiving our food it's like we were forgotten about, NO refills on drinks, NO "how is everything" NO one stopped by the table at all. Had to flag someone down to get our bill . By no means and I'm calling anyone racist but I defiantly think this place needs to step up on their customer service especially since the food is extremely mediocre . My honey absolutely loves PHO... so it was my duty to find what I hear is the best pho in the city!! Where do I turn to... yes, yelp to the rescue!! This spot was highly rated from word of mouth and yelp! I'm not a fan of pho so I order shrimp fried rice and spring rolls. It was a very decent portion for the price. The spring rolls lettuce was fresh! Always a good thing. I loved the Thai sauce for the spring rolls so much I put it on my entree! Yes I am a phat girl!! Lol!! I am literally obsessed with this place! I legit come here at least once a week, and it does not disappoint. The service is always fast, friendly, and consistent. The food always comes out quickly, steaming hot, and always tastes exactly how you remember, DELICIOUS. Every single time I go here I always get the pho. My boyfriend as of lately has been switching his order around, and every time, he loves what he gets. The price is in the perfect range for what you're getting, and the staff is efficient. Parking - There's a deck. As far as I know it's free... I went during lunch and didn't have to stop at a pay toll to get in Space - I'd say medium. They can survive a rush. Indoor and outdoor seating I believe. Service - Was BAD. The girl we had was great the first 10 mins... but after food came out. She disappeared. Literally could not find her. Had to flag 3 other people within a 20 minute window. Took forever to get the check. Food: Pho was OK. I'd rather drive to BuHi. Broth was too light. Noodles were not done very well. Meatballs though were better than expected. Thai Tea - Bubbles were good. But overall taste was MEH. Too icy. It's a smoothie here - not liquid. Originally I was going to give a 2/5. We ordered spring rolls, rice vermicelli with beef chunks and beef pho. Their spring rolls lack ingredients and taste when I compare to other Vietnamese restaurants in Atlanta. It is one of the worst I tasted. Vermicelli's sauce is too salty. I prefer light and sweeter sauce that is used. Pho is ok but nothing great in that arena as well. This place is fantastic. Chose it over the other location solely because of the higher Yelp rating. It is in the same building as Publix, so you can park in the covered deck and walk right in to the restaurant from there. We got some pho here and a chicken plate. I liked the pho more than the chicken, but both were tasty. The interior is pretty clean and open with decent seating. They have plenty of employees and the service was exactly the right amount. I had a nice little view of the street during my meal, but there are also TVs around the dining area if you fancy that during your meal. Some of the decor threw me off a bit and seemed random. I like the open kitchen concept that they had and would definitely visit here again. It was Pho King delicious (I waited for weeks to say that)! read more

This is purely for the pho ga. It's ok. The soup lacks chicken flavor but does still have your classic soup base spices and star anise taste. The pho ga here comes with plenty of white meat chicken and not too dry. The chicken has flavor but could use a bit more seasoning. I guess that's where the black and red mix come in eh. So far, we've had several kinds of bubble tea, steak vermicelli, lemongrass chicken, pho thai, bbq pork bahn mi, and the spring rolls. Everything has been fresh and savory. Food is served immediately and the atmosphere is dim and comfortable. I would definitely recommend--don't skip the avocado bubble tea, it's the best!! I got three grilled pork bahn mi and one grilled chicken bahn mi with a jack fruit boba and durian boba. I called ahead for pick up and arrived 17min after I called. When I arrived, the bahn mi sandwiches came out in a few minutes but the bobas took over 10min. I was watching the guy make it and he wasn't making anything else but my bobas. Weird how much time it took him to make them. Anyway, the bahn mis were average to slightly below average. The baguette didn't have enough depth and all the toppings just sat on top. It's just something about the comfort of the broth and the unique flavor you can only find from pho. Pho King offers friendly, fast service at a reasonable price. Their pho is not the best I've ever had, but it's good. I wasn't disappointed by their product. The fried spring rolls were good too. Pho King definitely falls into the average category as far as Bay Area pho standards go. The inside of the establishment seems renovated, featuring nice furniture, and new looking restrooms. I came right when it opened, and there were two tables already eating. I ordered the pho. Food came out in a timely manner. I tried the broth first. Too much black pepper immediately overpowered the aroma of the soup. It all latched on to the back of my throat, causing me to cough. I was very surprised because in SF, I rarely, if ever, see pepper put into the broth. During each spoonful, I had to eat carefully because I was fearful of the pepper going down the wrong tube. Service was just okay. Nothing to brag about. The employees seemed to have a lot of free time to chat amongst themselves. I would not recommend this place as a first pick for pho. I came here today with a friend craving pho so I knew exactly what I wanted. We live in Lindbergh so we got the train over (two stops) to get our lunch. We walked in and were greeted and the restaurant was not that empty. (We were there about 3pm) We saw the hand sanitizer and made sure our hands were clean before we sat down. I looked at the menu and liked how you can order your pho based on size of your bowl. I ordered a medium pho with eye round steak (P1) and an order of egg rolls. My friend wasn't experienced with pho and was given advice from our waiter. It was a nice atmosphere where they played pop songs. The waitress made sure our glasses of water was filled. We did not have to wait long for our food. I put my toppings and started to eat. The food was really good and I loved my pho! I have found my pho spot for when that craving hits! Very, very flavorful bowl of Pho. I tried the fried tofu...mind you it comes in a chicken broth. Not entirely vegetarian but I did not mind. The fish sauce as an accompaniment is awesome. We also tried the rice vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll. The egg roll was to die for especially dipped generously in the fish sauce. The fresh rolls were average compared to the entire meal. Although, my husband and I didn't have pho there just yet which we will try some day but so far we had beef vermicelli bowl which was odd because they didn't give us the tradition "nuoc mam" sauce (fish sauce). Instead they gave us this soy sauce thing to pair with the verm. bowl which tasted awful. I didn't understand why they didn't keep it traditional. The Thai boba tea was way too sweet! I couldn't even finish it which I was sad about. I don't know if they used liquid sweetener or what, but whatever it is they put way too much! We also got the chicken bahn mi, which was alright. The bread was really good and soft! Although $5 for a bahn mi sandwich is pretty high. I usually could get it for $3.50. I do must say, the pricing for everything else is really good.
