So happy that pho king was open on Memorial Day! A very neat pho place located midtown of Atlanta! I love the broth that they had for their pho, very interesting taste. I ordered a small combo which basically had everything in it and they packed it very nice! Even amount of noodles, meat, and broth! They also come in 3 different sizes: small, medium And xxlarge! $9-$10.50 in range. I also ordered their Vietnamese iced coffee and this is by far my fav coffee! They made it just right. I woke up on a Sunday morning craving for some pho. It was cloudy and a bit chilly. I found this place on Yelp and knew I had to come here to satisfy my craving. I skipped breakfast and went to Coca Cola Museum before coming here because Atlanta Breakfast Club was packed and the museum was a must go to attraction on my list. I got here around 2:15pm and was immediately greeted by a waiter. He gave me the menu then asked me what I wanted on the spot as I sat down and opened it for the first time. He might've assumed that I've been here before and knew what I wanted, but I'm only in town for a weekend. I think the waiter should've given me a couple minutes of settling down and looking at the menu before asking what I would like. It's a nice sit down and have some pho restaurant. They're really good at coming out with the food. I waited about 5-10 mins for my food to arrive and the restaurant is about 75% full. I ordered the combo pho which includes the flank steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and round steak. The pho came steamy hot and I tasted the soup first. It was perfect. Broth is the most important in a bowl of noodle soup in my opinion. If the broth isn't good, then I lose interest in other parts of the entree. I immediately slurped some noodles along with some steak. YUM! At that time, I wish I ordered an XL instead of medium because I wanted more even though I only had one bite. Walked here from the hotel after looking up the best pho restaurant in Atlanta. Atlanta and Houston have very large Vietnamese populations so you can normally expect the average quality of the pho to be decent. It was 8p on a Sunday and the restaurant was closing in one hour. We walked the 15 min trip and was able to secure a table outside. One staff member looked a little annoyed that we might hold up their closing but we promised them we'd be quick. I ordered the xx large pho brisket (P3) with fried spring rolls and summer rolls. The fried spring rolls were actually shrimp rolls akin to the type you'd find at a dim sum restaurant. The summer rolls were mediocre as they were clearly made earlier in the day and the skin had become a little stale. The pho brisket arrived and it was a massive bowl. The broth was ok and a little bit on the light side. The brisket was extra tender and the noodles were fine. I wouldn't say it's the best pho I've had but after a weekend of eating fried chicken and crawfish, THIS was the healthiest alternative. read more

Great spot if you're just in the mood for a bowl of pho, which is the only good thing I've had from their menu. I've ordered the shrimp fried rice once and it was just unseasoned shrimp with fried rice, no vegetables or egg, just fried rice and it was pretty bland. I had the same experience with the fried rice and beef chunks. Service has sometimes been a little slow, especially if they're busy, but the wait staff is always friendly. Ive been to this pho spot about 6 times because I live close by and it's in a prime location. I had the veggie pho as I always order. Each time I go I've had a different waiter and each waiter will allow certain substitutions. Their ambiance is nice plus there's outside seating and great music. There's parking outside the restaurant but you pay at the meter, Or there's parking in the deck (if you're on West peachtree st NW make a left on Peachtree Place and approx 10-20 meters on the left) which is free for two hours. It's kid-friendly and super casual great for solo lunch or a small group of friends. Over all this pho spot is not the best that I've had but it's great for a quick bite for pho lovers craving pho. Not quite as good as somewhere like Pho Dai Loi on Buford Highway, but they make very tasty pho! Good and friendly service. I've buried the lead however, because their iced coffee is my personal favorite thing about this restaurant. I frequently stop in just to get their iced coffee to go. Could not recommend enough. Having moved into the area a few months ago, I've become a regular at Pho King. The food is yummy, and the service is quick and efficient. The pho is quite good, especially on a cold rainy day. I usually get the combo pho and that gives you a general portion of noodles with a variety of meats. The banhmi here is also pretty good. It's a little pricier than places on Buford, with each Banhmi costing around $5. But, we are in midtown and higher prices are to be expected. The steak and rice dish is also a favorite. Great flavor and, as usual, generous portions. The only thing I don't like here is the shrimp spring rolls. For some reason, it always comes out slimy. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table as soon as we walked in, but that's where it ends. No one came to our table for 15 mins. Not even to take our drink order. Friendly staff and the best vegan pho you can get anywhere. The tofu spring rolls are incredible and fresh too. I've always loved noodle soups and have had it growing up in Taiwan. The flavors in the vegan pho is really one of the best and most authentic without the use of animal fat. You don't need to sacrifice the taste and animals after all. I came by for a late Friday afternoon lunch, and ordered Pho and Spring Rolls. It was a very average experience, and I wouldn't recommend going. Dua is within walking distance, same price, cleaner, and much better in many ways. I didn't enjoy my experience at Pho King for these reasons: 1. Bad service and not well cleaned - When I came in, the restaurant wasn't very busy (just 3 other customer groups), there were 3 empty tables that still had their food dishes lying around, and there were 4 servers chatting and joking around with each other at the front counter. I don't understand why no one cleaned it up, and my table when I sat down was still sticky and a bit dirty. When I finished and left 30 min later, the same table outside still had its dirty dishes as when I came in. 2. Servers didn't understand the menu - I asked what the difference in the Pho sizes were (is it more noodles or more meat, etc...) and they did not know. 3. Food tasted average - The spring rolls tasted store bought and not fresh. The Pho was decent. I know one good thing is the prices are pretty cheap so it's a good spot for college students on a budget. This is a great spot in Midtown! I was perusing W Peachtree with a friend and we decided to grab some lunch. He had dental surgery a few days earlier so Pho was a perfect choice for him. Upon arriving at the restaurant we decided that we wanted to sit outside as they have nice outdoor seating with umbrellas (perfect for Hotlanta summers!). There was an empty table but it was not cleaned. We let the staff know and they cleaned the table right away. Despite reading several reviews about the "laid back" service; we had the opposite experience. We were checked on several times and provided excellent service! Fortunately, we had nowhere to be when we visited but I would definitely stop here if I were on a "quick" lunch and I needed to be in and out. My friend ordered the Vegetable Pho and I ordered the Vermicelli and Grilled Chicken. Both dishes came out quickly and were quite sizable! They were so big that neither of us could finish our lunch. However, all the ingredients were fresh and perfectly tasty! I've only had Vietnamese food a few times and I thought this was comparable. I've usually been of the belief that when it comes to pho places, the worse the service the better the food. But Pho King in Midtown has changed that. Not only is their food AMAZING, but the service there was quick and friendly. I was immediately greeted upon entering, and helped to locate my to-go order in the system. I had only just ordered online, but still received my food in less than 10 minutes! And they frequently gave me updates during my wait. I had forgotten to add extra fish sauce in my order, but they had no issue providing me with a large cup to take with me upon asking. I really appreciated it as I LIVE for fish sauce! During my wait I also observed interactions with other guests and they were all equally polite and prompt, which is lovely to see. This was my first time, but certainly wont be my last! My only request I would make would be to increase the size of their spring rolls, they are significantly smaller than other places I've been to. But super delicious! read more

Nice little pho place in Midtown. Not usually too busy and you can usually get a seat right away. They have really good prices. It's about $9 for a small bowl of pho which can definitely be a meal. For only a couple dollars more you can get the XX-large bowl which has two X's for a reason. This is almost impossible to be finished by one person and can definitely be shared by two people. I usually get the chicken pho, but I shook things up and got the shrimp pho. I definitely liked the quality of the shrimp. I came & ordered a bowl of pho tai.. upon my pho arriving to my table I immediately noticed the temperature was lukewarm.. I wasn't going to complain but after several minutes of trying to wait for my pho to turn from rare to cooked.. (I don't eat pink steak) I've also been eating pho my entire life so I know what the temperature should be and that it should be hot enough to cook the rare steak. It was simply the broth was too cold.. I began to look for the server to simply ask for some warmer broth & had to wait about 8 minutes for him to come from The back handling take our orders. When coming back & explaining my story he then immediately gets frustrated & brings me back a small side bowl of broth only.. I then asked why was I only receiving a small side bowl of broth when I ordered an entire bowl of pho that is now soggy with pink meat. After explaining this to them again... & that I wanted a full bowl of pho.. what I ordered they went to the back & once again brought me back a small side dish of broth only.. the same thing they just took. After taking my noodles, toppings & meat from my original bowl. They left me with a plain bowl of broth.. again. No additional noodles toppings nothing.. I couldn't believe they did this.. the guy with the hat & t shirt & guy with the glasses handled this very poorly. This was extremely rude.. condescending & disgusting. I won't be back! read more

Well Well Well. Was debating to write this review or not. Came here with my pho friends looking for a good pho after business meeting around the Coda area. I pretty much look for a pho joint every lunch :) Anyway read my review on VN Pho, I kinda laugh when I found out this is the same ownership as VN Pho. BC 3 of the 4 was at VN Pho a few weeks back when we had our terrible experienced. I was thinking that this pho remind me of another, check the review and BINGO. Ok to be fair - pho is better, broth still bad but the meat seem better (if anything it's one of the better cut chin and nam). Back to the soup, it's still lack pho taste. Maybe they're trying to be a nicer I LUV PHO. - much much cleaner - egg-roll here much better but again the pre-made thing kinda annoyed me. (why?) I mean I rather wait a little bit if it mean I get fresh egg-roll. Advice if I ordered egg-roll I am not in no rush just want good fresh food. - spring roll here seem different from VN Pho. much much better - bun thit nuong cha gio need more mints or something. Lack of herbs really make you focus on the watered down fish sauce. (fish sauce no good here). Overall it's a decent place, maybe I'll come back again next week. Pho broth man just need to be better. It's my and my wife's go to Vietnamese place in downtown Atlanta. They have free parking in the parking garage of the building and we've never had issues finding a spot in there. We love their banh mis, vegetarian phos, chicken and rice and the chicken with vermicelli. The food always tastes good and the service is quick. Came to Atlanta for the weekend and I was curious to see if there were any good Pho restaurants. I totally forgot to research but on a Saturday morning walk we stumble on their sign Pho King crazy!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. Yes! They have a vegan Pho so yes I'm good to go. I told my friend we need to come here for dinner because I need to try their Pho. She says..."I've never had Pho." I almost slapped her but instead gave her a hug and said my friend...you are missing out! We ordered our meals and it was Pho King amazing! This broth was delicious and I couldn't ask for a better service. I had the XXL bowl and surprisingly finished it all! Next time I'm in Atlanta I will sure visit this location! The food is good but they have bad business practices. Online and on the front of their door it says they close at 10PM, which they do not! I tried to call my order my in around 8:35p and the phone number doesn't work. I drive up there and when I walk in I'm told that they are closed. I just walked out of Pho King a minute ago after spending 10 minutes sitting there, waiting for any sort of acknowledgment from the 3 people working that seem to find cleaning tables much more of a priority than actually serving the customers. The broth was missing those aromatic herbal flavors that pho typically has. I did however ordered a side dish of the beef tenderloin. Update* these beef chunks were still as delicious as the first time. That was delicious!!! The meat was tender, cooked to perfection and the flavor was tasty as well. This place serves some really good soul-touching pho. The prices are not that expensive. It is cheaper if you get the X-large bowl and share with someone else rather than getting small. You save money and get more quantity of food that way. The Pho Ga, which is the chicken pho, is really good. Combing the sriracha and the spicy oil with the pho makes it even tastier. I love spice so I try to make things as spicy as possible. The lemongrass chicken is another of my personal favorite. The chicken is very soft and flavorful. I usually substitute the normal rice with the fried rice and mix the broth with the rice while eating the chicken. It takes the experience to another level. The bubble tea is delicious as well. I love the mango bubble tea and the green tea bubble tea here! This place is good if you want some hot broth hitting your soul on a cold and moody day! read more

Not the best I've ever had, but damn good. I typically get Pho Tai along with some spring rolls or egg rolls. Service is quick, the portions are more than sufficient, and while often crowded, there's generally enough space. I'm going to keep this one as a shorter review, for about 20 bucks you'll get a really good sized meal with good flavor to it. They're not the most attentive at giving you your checks though, so you'll have to go after them for it. Of note, Pho is pronounced "Fu". And yes, they're very aware of the joke, as their slogan is "It's Pho King Good!". So maybe not a place for children. Maybe. I'm not sure. read more

This place is a must stop at if you are visiting or living in Atlanta regards of what area. Their pho has the best broth flavor and decent amount of meats and veggies to go with the amazing broth. Grilled chicken Rice plates are what I get regularly! Usually get it with the fried rice (100% recommend) and top it off with their spicy chili oil. Used UberEats to order food to hotel we were staying at. First, I like their fried egg rolls. The bbq pork banhmi was okay tasting. Now, the reason I am giving it 2 star is that they forgot to put in one banhmi and they gave us no sriracha and hoisin sauce when we requested it. The pho's broth didn't have much flavor. I called the restaurant and he told me sorry and I could come in and pick another banhmi up. Ok..thanks for nothing. Dont order take out unless you can check your order. We saw him put his hands in his pants and scratch I guess his scrotum or pubic area in front of customers and did not wash his hands and proceeded to serve food and drinks. Absolutely despicable. I reported the behavior to the young manager to no avail. He never even came back to our table to apologize for the grotesque behavior of the waiter. So unprofessional for a manager. This is totally unacceptable for any restaurant even a low budget one like this one. The service is extremely slow and nothing but kids work here.
