I got there, tipped my usual 10% for pickup, but when I got home I noticed that they now automatically charge $0.50 for to-go. When did this start? It would've been nice to let patrons know of this new charge. The Banh Xeo was okay, the greens were a bit limp and old. Best place to visit on a cold day. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the soup really warmed us up. My little boy loved the fried bread and congee -- such comforting food. The restaurant is a bit chilly at first, but you warm up quickly after having the soup. Another doctor appointment (eye), where to eat lunch? Saw this one was just down the road. Was it just another Vietnamese restaurant? No! The first clue is that most customers were Vietnamese. The second clue is the assortment of dishes and the number of variations of those dishes on the menu. The third clue is just a fun thing but it's a robot that brings the food. Don't mistake, you are seated and waited on by a person and the wait staff places the food on your table and makes sure everything is correct, the robot just transports the food. Pro: moderate size parking lot, clean interior, friendly staff, delivery app. Con: food portion size, no water. There are the few words that come to mind to summarize my experience here and that would be underwhelming, disappointing, and sad. The parking lot is of moderate size so no issue there. The inside is very modern and clean. The staff greeted us and handed us our menu. For the entree, we order the meat and shrimp spring roll and for the entrees I had the large pho Tai( steak). The spring roll was pretty good but the peanut sauce that came with it was hot which make it taste a bit awkward. I always say that you can tell if the pho is good based on it broth and the broth was a bit to light and not rich enough for me. The portion size was sad because you get a lot of meat but not enough pho noodle. The meat was also overcooked and chewy. All in all, I had higher hope for this establishment but it was a let down and I don't recommend this place to anyone and I won't be back in the future. read more

After being out in the cold, what better meal than a warm bowl of soup! As a huge fan of the original Pho Lien Hoa on 23rd, this one definitely measures up. Same owners, same quality but closer for us in this case. The restaurant is definitely newer and more modern inside versus the main one. The service was super quick as always and you can expect your soup within 5-10 minutes after ordering. I always order the P11 - Pho Tai Chin. Of course I add in all my extras such as the basil, jalapeño and lime with hoisin sauce and sriracha. This visit, instead of the fresh spring rolls we get which are delish, we went for the chicken banh mi. It was good, tasted fresh and had a little curry taste to it which was not expected but welcomed. It was a bit on the dry side but overall still good. I ate at the original Pho Lien Hoa over on NW 23rd the very first week of setting foot in OKC and have always frequented there whenever I crave a comforting bowl of noodle or whenever friends visit from out of town. I've been meaning to visit their second restaurant for a while since spotting the sign and I finally made it when a dear friend visited from overseas a week ago. This second restaurant accepts credit cards but clearly states they will charge for it, about 3% if I remember correctly. First impression stepping in was that it looked new and, of course, spotless becaude it is new. Nice and bright ambience as well. We got there after the lunch rush but there were a few tables with patrons. We were greeted and shown to our table immediately but we took a long time deciding because my friend wanted to try just about everything on the menu. My go to is the P1 but I wanted to choose something new ... the word pork blood sealed the deal but I can't remember the name of the dish. My friend ordered two bowls of noodle dishes, a small and a regular, as well as two fresh rolls, one shrimp and one chinese sausage. Everything was sublime as usual. The staff was attentive and very happy to be at work. Auntie Lien and her daughter took turns to come up to scold us for ordering so much food and letting everything get cold from yapping too much, hahahaha. They also said we should eat the hot soup first before eating the soupless one the way we did because the noodles in the hot soup gets swelled up and, therefore, won't taste good. We knew, but we had so much yapping to do ... lol .... Auntie Lien was such a nice lady, we talked for a bit and she was telling us of how she'd come to the USA and established the restaurant with her husband. We also found out that the original shop has been refurbished and only just reopened. Pho Lien Hoa will always be my home away from home dining experience whenever I need my comfort noodles and for showcasing my out of town friends. The flavours here never go amiss, they are always busy but also always welcoming and friendly. You get a full belly with the portion size and, for what you pay, it isn't shabby at all. read more

Huge convenience that they should consider implementing in the first location. Also newer environs in a more upscale plaza. So there I was, sick and fragile, trying to nurse myself back to health with a steaming bowl of meatball pho. The broth was already suspiciously mediocre--like the knockoff version of comfort food. I'm slurping along, convincing myself it'll do, when suddenly... I spot it. A slimy, tentacle-looking creature lurking beneath the noodles. My stomach dropped. My survival instincts kicked in. Came for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon around 1pm, right after the rush. I was seated immediately upon arrival. They don't offer glasses of water, just water bottles only. I thought that was kind of strange? My waitress was Nhi and she was so sweet & helpful! She checked in every so often to make sure I had everything I needed. I ordered the pork & shrimp spring rolls, $4. The peanut dipping sauce paired so well with it! For my entree I had the bun thit nuong, $13, with grilled shrimp & egg rolls as well! I love how vast the menu is for Vietnamese cuisine. My personal favorite are the Bun Mang Vit, Chao Vit, and Mi Thap Cam. Then, you can't go wrong with their che desserts.. che ba mau, che thai lan, che khuc bach, and let's not forget their smoothies. There are also many honorable mentions. This location is my absolute location over the OKC one because they accept credit cards here. The service is fast and convenient and I think the restaurant is more modern than the OKC location. We had some spring rolls and egg rolls from this place last night on Uber Eats, and it was a little disappointing. The spring rolls had no herbs, just a ton of cabbage and rice noodles in them. And the peanut sauce that it came with needed just a little bit more flavor so it wasn't my favorite. I will say, the egg rolls however were the opposite. Fried perfectly and packed with flavor. So that's a good appetizer there! Pros is that their portions were pretty big. Food was great. Service was ok. Our server did not get our order correct but there was another gentleman that helped and got it fixed right away. This could have been prevented if the server just repeated our order back to us. That would prevent some confusion done the line. The biggest con is that they only serve bottled water if you drink water. There is a correlation to microplastics found in bottled water that we drink now. Additionally, forcing customers to buy plastic bottle water is not environmentally friendly. I recommend this restaurant seek into investing for a water filter system or offering tap water for your customers. read more

If you're a fan of the original Pho Lien Hoa, then you are going to like this one. Most of the foods are the same as they are owned by the same owner. However, there are certain items you could only order from this location. These location specific items are very niche, only certain individuals would order them. If you are a regular pho enthusiast, who would only order pho 99% of the time when going to a pho restaurant then it doesn't matter which location you go to. This location is newer and you can tell the difference. The old location has an stronger odor in the air whereas this one has less due to better ventilation system. read more

Was sick quarantining at home and really felt like I needed some pho for my irritated throat. They were so generous with the meat -- I was shocked! I kept thinking I had finished it all but kept finding more and more. I had zero complains with the portion size. They included two bunches of Thai basil, a heap of bean sprouts, jalapeños, onions, green onions, hot sauce, hoisin sauce, noodles, and lime in my UberEats order, with the broth in a separate container. The broth was amazing and hit the spot with my sore throat. Delicious! Would order again. The only problem I had was that during delivery, most of the broth had leaked from the plastic container into the plastic bag. Yummy, strong, and sweet. It's so good, I like to sip on it since the coffee is strong. Let the ice melt and you'll get a perfect drink. Banh Mi: Grilled pork meat sandwich with pickled veggies(Carrots/daikon). Has Cilantro/Jalapeños/Mayo. Bread is slightly crunchy with soft bread on the inside. Mmmm!!!! Overall: I would definitely come back to try it and settle for a sit down experience. I love how the food are packaged very well. Love how they cut a hole into the styrofoam to air out steam to keep eggrolls crunchy. Love the styrofoam trays for the banh mi. Makes it easier to eat and catch the remnants I may want to eat. Lol!! Recently discovered the wonderful world of the upper class ramen and we decided to try pho lien hoa near our house. The restaurant was very nice and clean and we were sat promptly. Our waiter came right up and was ready for us to order but since it was our first time we asked for a bit more time. He went ahead and took our drink order in which I asked for water. All they had was bottled which was odd because another table had clear cups with liquid that was clear...maybe it was 7up... anyways we looked over the menu which I had no clue what most of it was but I didn't feel comfortable asking the waiter after the water deal. Our order was served promptly. The crab Rangoon was ok nothing special. My pho the noodle and both was excellent. I would have liked more noodles but it was what I got. The dumplings didn't taste bad but not really good. They had a odd texture to them. My wife liked hers but wish she got more rice. Pho Lien Hoa is my favorite pho restaurant Classen and so I had to try their sister restaurant (it should I say their offspring?) I started out with the grilled shrimp spring rolls which are totally delish. In fact, this could be my mean in the future. The special peanut sauce was good and the lettuce was plentiful. First, I hate when places charge for water. That being said, at least they accept cards now. I have yet to visit the original, so I'm looking at just this location. For a brand spanking new place, they could have done more with the dining room. It's just so plain and boring. I guess they were going for sorta of a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. At least it's a clean one. I've tried a couple of things here as of now. Their new banh mis are very good, not the best in the metro, but a solid option. I've tried the grilled pork and the chicken. The grilled pork is wonderful and smoky, full of flavor. Skip the chicken (minced, bland). Roll was nothing special, but there were plenty of pickled veggies packed inside. Their cost, $4.50-5.00. Pho was great, broth flavorful. I see all of the add-ons are available to make it just the way you'd like it. Service was friendly enough on our visit, but they tend to do a lot of running around and keep visits short. Parking lot WAS a fairly good size, that is, until they built a new building and took away a large chunk of it. It sure is nice having them in the area.
