When on the South side of town (particularly if you are headed out on a Crest run) this spot is a solid Vietnamese food restaurant choice. I enjoyed my bahn mi sandwich (5/5). I loved the fresh crunchy exterior white loaf bread. As I took each bite it gave way to a fresh, soft and pillowy inside white bread experience. It did a fantastic job wrapping up my Vietnamese style meat and veggies. Everything in my sandwich had a ton a flavor. I thought the summer rolls (wrapped in rice paper) were excellent and that dipping sauce was on point! I'll always get an order of that every time I'm here. The service was top notch and I loved the decor too. It's more of a quick in and out kind of experience which was perfect between running errands. I'll be back! November 2023

Amazing experience here from the delicious food, amazing staff and cute interior decor. The oxtail pho was incredible--rich, flavorful broth with tender, melt-in-your-mouth oxtail. Our server was so kind and attentive, which always makes the experience so much better. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving delicious Vietnamese food!

Nón Lá Cafe is the newest Vietnamese restaurant for South Oklahoma City. Is it worth it? The short answer is "yes" for people who live nearby but for people living in North Oklahoma City, I feel there are many Vietnamese restaurants that can easily take this role. I've tried most of what the restaurant has to offer. The garlic fried tofu sticks is a little too salty. They are coated with garlic salt, just a little too much. I really like the texture of the tofu, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just needs to back off on the garlic salt. I've tried 3 entrees: pho, stir fry udon bowl, and egg noodle bowl. Haven't tried their vermicelli bowl or their bánh mì, but probably won't due to distance. Pho is the best. Contrary to what other people have said, I do think the broth is umami, due to MSG, but it does taste good. The egg noodle bowl is better than the udon bowl. They both have a similar taste with both noodles being stir fried in a sweet and salty sauce. The only difference is the noodle with egg noodle being smaller than udon. The other aspect of why I preferred egg noodle is because their udon bowl is more oily. Overall, my impression of Nón Lá Cafe is a good Vietnamese restaurant for South Oklahoma City. For people that live on the North side, there are equally or better options available.

Went to a work lunch here and was pleasantly surprised! From the food to the service everything was excellent! We split the chicken bahn mi and garlic noodles. The garlic noodles had so much flavor and the noodles were perfectly cooked. All the ingredients in the bahn mi were fresh and the bread was so good! Our waiter was so nice and had a smile on his face the entire time. It was such a great spot for lunch and we will definitely makes this place a regular!

Cute space with loads of natural light! Came in for lunch on a Monday and our server was so sweet. I got the oxtail pho and it was tender and hit the spot! There was a good amount of oxtail. It also came with quail eggs, sliced beef meatballs, and a lot of noodles. The broth was pretty flavorful but I could use a bit more pho spices in there. We got the fried spring rolls with the fried rice paper, and it came out hot and crisp. I will definitely come back to try more things

Small quiet Vietnamese place. Kids enjoyed the pho. Waiters were friendly and nice. We would come again.

The food is super delicious. My new favorite Pho place in south OKC. I got the Oxtail meatball pho and it's going to be my next go to order here. It's rich in protein and flavor. The service is also amazing. Our server is very kind and friendly. The atmosphere is so cute!

This is an amazing new Vietnamese restaurant from Leon Hoang, who used to run Magasin Table near downtown OKC before he sold it to the Hot Chopsticks people (its also located in South OKC where he grew up and so a great gem to find outside of the Asian District). Hence, the innovative level of cuisine (e.g., integration of things like eggs) is definitely in full form here. Excellent and prompt service and also the interior decor is very cool as well as spacious/comfortable, featuring paintings on the wall (available for purchase) as well as a stylish aesthetic (maybe something you would also find at Magasin Table). I ordered the udon with grilled pork and three of the amazing appetizers they had a promotion on (dumplings with a har gow consistency, sliced up shrimp balls and lightly fried egg rolls that were also delicate and not overly hard/crispy). Their beverages are also on point, including their iced Vietnamese coffee, green milk tea, iced teas and smoothies (I got their avocado one). Incredible desserts as well - Leon let me sample a "baked flan" which was very creative and unique in that you will likely not be able to find it at any other Vietnamese restaurant. He also said that they would be releasing a crime brûlée (once they get the torch working) and Vietnamese slushy/smoothie dessert drinks. Highly highly recommended and check it out now!

Cute little spot. Was seated promptly. Everything was clean. Service was great! We ordered a variety off the menu to try. Loved the braised pork bao bao and honey glazed pork bao bao. I had the lemongrass beef vermicelli bowl which was okay; I'll probably never get it again. My husband enjoyed his grilled pork udon noodles. Crab Rangoons were bland; I'd skip on that. The eggrolls and paper plane eggrolls were really good. My daughter said her rare eye pho is okay. I want to try their ox tail pho! Will definitely stop by again :).

The banh mi is excellent. The grilled pork portion was a good amount, coupled with the tasty carrots it's a pretty substantial meal.

It had been over 15 years since my last visit, and surprisingly, not much has changed. What really makes this buffet stand out is the Vietnamese station, where you can build your own pho, udon, or egg noodle soup, along with sampling dishes like bánh xèo and bánh cuốn. That's mostly what I focused on. The udon broth was flavorful and comforting, though I do wish there had been more meat options available--it felt like we caught the tail end of a batch. I also tried some of the more typical buffet offerings like chow mein, chicken wings, and beef and broccoli. They were decent overall, but the food leaned noticeably sweet, especially the chow mein, and several dishes were lukewarm. Desserts were pretty underwhelming. The only thing I enjoyed was the soft-serve ice cream; the chocolate wafers were stale, and the rest didn't stand out. On the plus side, service was great. Our server was attentive, kept drinks refilled, and cleared plates promptly.

There is a large variety of meats, seafoods, stir-frys, etc. to pick from the buffet, and there is a dedicated Vietnamese food section that offers a variety of noodle soups, spring rolls, as well as banh xeo that are made fresh to order. There is also a Mongolian grill where you can build your bowl, and they will stir-fry it in front of you. Don't forget dessert as there is quite the selection of sweet snacks and treats, and there is even an ice cream machine with a toppings bar. There really is something for everyone! I would not expect the tastiest and best meal ever, but it definitely satisfies your cravings. I have found the food to be fresh every time I come, and the buffet stations are clean. A great buffet in OKC, and I recommend it for a yummy meal.
