PHO LONG has gone into high rotation for me and my partner in crime. We love this place. Why? 1. I have no problem driving 11.5 miles from Redlands to dine here, past countless Pho spots not as well rated. 2. The food is consistently great and served by an Auntie that doesn't speak a word of English. Always a good sign. There's a vermicelli special on the back of the menu that features an egg roll, shrimp, and pork -- 2die4. The various steak Phos are yum as well. 3. The service is top notch. We love the young woman waitress the best, but her Dad (?) is also very friendly on weekends. We chat with Lynn about C-Dramas when it's slow, which is rare because -- 4. -- even when you can walk into this place on a slow weekday afternoon, you're never alone. 5. Came here for lunch at 10:30 and service was quick. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated with a friendly staff. Ordered the stir fried vermicelli which was my first time trying it and I was not disappointed. The flavor was great meet a little chewy but not too bad and I added an egg roll which was also tasty and came super hot. Chicken Pho was also tasty same with the Thai iced tea. Such delicious pho! The customer service is super quick and friendly. I really appreciate when I ask for cilantro and they also come back with jalapeno and limes, I can tell they know their audience! Cute restaurant in Colton. As a vegetarian, I was super happy to see that there's a vegetarian section. Super rare for most pho places. The vegetarian pho (number 81) was delicious. Definitely enjoyed it on a rainy day. My friends who are not vegetarian both enjoyed their dishes, one got #1 and the other got #10. The restaurant does fill up at busy hours so just keep that in mine but the service is incredibly fast. The staff is super nice. Have been a regular here since before COVID and recently updated my regular order to the beef rib pho. 2 beef ribs and the best pho in town?? Say less. They are meaty ribs and are so tender and the pho broth really penetrates down to the bone; you could eat the ribs on their own they're so delicious. And for only $1 more than the #1 large combo?!? You definitely have to try it. I would've posted a picture but I couldn't wait and it was so good I couldn't stop. Shoutout to the fried tofu and jackfruit smoothie, also 10/10s. Food and portion sizes were great! Really exceeded our expectations. Fairly affordable meal, spent under $120 for 5 people. We stopped by on the way home from a weekend trip and would definitely come again. The service was a bit slow after we got our food (we needed utensils, to pay etc) but there was only one worker. We ordered chicken clay pot, combination clay pot, and vermicelli with shrimp paste. The vermicelli and clay pot dishes were flavorful; however the chicken in the chicken clay pot had some bones that could crack my teeth. The service was not up to par; after taking our orders, the servers didn't come back to check on us. The ambiance was warm when we entered but it was difficult to flag servers down for service. Tasty pho! This was actually my first experience eating pho. The menu is very large and they offer a variety of types of pho and other food items you can order. They provide the toppings on the side for you to put in the pho. The pho comes out very hot. The meat is already inside the pho bowl when they bring it to you. They offer a medium and large bowl option when you order. The price is fairly reasonable. They give you quite a bit. I am not sure if I would eat this as a leftover however due to the type of noodle that is in pho. I would order again and try other options. I do not have a comparison with other pho places, but this is pretty decent. read more

The aroma can be smelled from the other side of the shipping center and every time I pass this place my mouth starts watering. Very good service. Nice wait staff. I went to Pho Long in Colton and ordered the Pho Tai Nam Sach. It was phenomenal. The broth was rich and flavorful, clearly simmered for hours with beef bones, onion, and spices. It had depth without being heavy, and every sip was comforting. The meats were excellent. The rare steak was tender, the flank had a nice beefy bite, and the tripe added a unique texture that worked really well in the bowl. The noodles were cooked just right and the fresh herbs and lime on the side pulled everything together. Service was quick and welcoming, and the restaurant felt clean and comfortable. This was one of the best bowls of pho I've had in the area, and I'll definitely be coming back. read more

My first visit here was ok, food was good but service was lacking. Unfortunately, on my 2nd visit, neither food nor service was up to par. First off, the server seemed grumpy and more interested in being in a booth while on her phone than in tending to customers. She never once asked if I needed anything during my meal, or even if I needed a water refill, which I had to get up and ask for myself (twice). She remained on her phone throughout my visit. I ordered the salmon dish which came with a serving of rice, which was ok. But I didn't go there for a meal of rice only. The salmon itself was dry and overcooked. When I told another server about it he only said he would tell the cook about it. What?! No desire to correct the unacceptable dish. So upon paying I repeated my complaint and showed the dry piece of salmon. I assume there was a language barrier because the cashier looked confused and said "ok." I was not asked if I wanted another better prepared piece of salmon or at least a discount on a bad dish that I plainly stated was too dry. I tried but just couldn't eat it. I think if there wasn't a language barrier I may have been better understood, or I might have at least felt heard, but unfortunately this was not the case. So I was charged $19 (including tax) for a side of rice. And no apology or at least any attempt to make the experience right. It's really a shame because I had high hopes. read more

I used to come here a lot when I went to college nearby and they've never disappointed before. They're located in a giant plaza with plenty of parking. It's a big restaurant with plenty of tables and seating inside, so I've never waited more than 10 minutes. Looks like a typical pho restaurant with the decoration at the counter LOL My friend and I came in at 6pm on a Tuesday night and were seated immediately. They have all the standard vietnamese dishes and every one that I've had was delicious. Their servers are quick and attentive when you dine in. The pho here is good. Let's say 8 out of 10 in terms of Pho compared to other places. The issue I always have here is the service. If there was a language barrier I could understand, but the lady we deal with here all the time does not have a language barrier. She is consistently rude. It's actually a well-known characteristic of this place. When I talk about Pho with other people, on several occasions people laugh about how rude the service is here. It is bad enough that the proximity is the only reason we come here on occasion. We go other places whenever the option presents itself. I didn't have high expectations for Vietnamese food in this area, but happened to be driving through town and figured I'd take a chance on this area and what a wonderful surprise! In addition to the classic dishes you'll see in almost every Vietnamese restaurant, they had several options that stood out. Here's what we ordered: - Charbroiled pork sausage spring roll: I think I might almost prefer these over the shrimp spring rolls just because I find these to be more satisfying. I don't always see charbroiled pork sausage on the menu, but definitely give these a try. The hoisin/peanut dipping sauce is great. - Oxtail pho: It is unfortunately a lot of bone, but the meat is so so tender and the broth has a ton of flavor. - Clay rice pot: I wanted something a little lighter so I opted for the clay rice pot. It is a very balanced entree with chicken, chinese sausage, and a ton of veggies. The rice has a lot of flavor from the various meats/veggies and it totally hit the spot. The bowl is actually quite deep so I had plenty to take home for leftovers. Service is quick and efficient, and the space is very clean. It's about 20-25 minutes away from where I live, and I think I would actually go out of my way to come here next time. read more

We ordered a large pho and it didn't have as much toppings or noodles as other pho places we've been to. We also ordered the charbroiled pork sausage spring roll and it was probably our favorite dish that we ordered. I don't recommend getting the regular shrimp spring rolls, they're pretty flavorless and the "peanut sauce"that the spring rolls came with just tasted like hoisin sauce, it was missing basically all of the peanut flavor. We also ordered the fried chicken with red fried rice and egg, and the chicken was cold inside. On the bright side, the staff were accommodating and replaced it right away. Pho Long is definitely my go-to spot for lunch and dinner. My favorite dishes to order are the Chicken Pho, Egg Rolls, Chicken Porridge, Chicken Clay Pot Rice, BBQ Porkchop Rice Plate, and Thai Tea. The portions are generous, the food is flavorful, and I am always left satisfied at the end of my meal. The service is great, comes quickly on door dash & when picking up for to-go it is less than 15 minutes. First time dining here. Called to make sure they can seat a party of 20. Lin who answered my call reassured me that we will have a table ready for us!! My kids decided to have a Vietnamese cuisine for dinner. My son said , "Mom!! Since you're a Yelp Elite where is a good place close by to eat ". I opened my Yelp app and searched for a Vietnamese restaurant near by. Pho Long had 4.5 stars so off we went. Very nice reviews by some of the elites who dined here so I trust their recommendations. I was the first to arrive and a long table was already set up for us with silverwares , soup spoons and napkins. The place is well lit and the chandeliers' floral design looks so elegant. The dining booths are placed against the opposite walls. Several Dining tables for 4-6 seats are placed at the center area. The staff are so accommodating and gave us stellar service. Since one grandson has peanut allergy I had to make sure nothing was served with peanuts and nothing sort of any cross-contamination in the kitchen. As chairs got filled up with 10 adults and 6 kids and 2 sleeping toddlers, our server Lin took our beverage and food orders! Several different kitchen staff served our food as they got out from the kitchen and delivered to our table. Very good service except for 3 orders that seemed to had been forgotten somehow but was immediately rectified. Everyone were pleased and satisfied. I ordered the tenderloin steak in a hot plate and it was sizzling when it was served to me , just the way I like it. The savory meat was juicy and tender. I love the dipping fish sauce that was flavored with minced red onions. I am so elated that this place is just around the corner where I live! I would love to try the other dishes as well.
