I actually order take out from this place quite often because it's close to the hospital and good Vietnamese food for inland empire (obviously can't beat Orange County) but comes close enough for Vietnamese food out here. It's a small place inside a strip mall plaza. Whenever I do come in to sit down, I'm greeted almost immediately and seated almost immediately. I like to order in Vietnamese at Vietnamese restaurants so that my order doesn't get messed up, but often times, the younger servers don't understand it so I end up ordering in English and describing what I want or pointing to the picture/number. Food comes out fairly quickly and when I'm done, I just go to the register and pay, all less than an hour inside the restaurant (although I tend to eat alone and quickly). I almost always order the bun Bo hue bc it's one of my favorite soups and theirs is pretty good. Their pho is also pretty good. I also like their rice plates, but definitely could use some work. The prices are a bit high for Vietnamese food in this area in my opinion but since this restaurant is prob one of the better ones of all the options in IE, I'm willing to pay for it. read more

We stopped by last weekend and had late lunch with my family . We were warmly greeted by our server. Location is in a small plaza on a busy street with plenty of parking. We had bun Bo fur and pho Bo and vegan spring rolls and chicken wings and egg rolls . All the food came out fresh and hot . Everything was delicious and I would definitely come back . I liked that they expanded their dine in area. Decor and ambiance was nice and very clean. I come here pretty often both dine in and take out. This last visit did a take out. Menu did not have what we usually order and the lady who Im assuming is the owner attempted to help me. I asked her if the menu had changed. Her response was no it has been the same for years. I doubt that. Menu itself was not the same. Then I asked her for a certain dish and her response was "this isnt a chinese restaurant. Its vietnamese" clearly I was aware of that. I felt she was very unprofessional towards me by using that tone. There is plenty other establishments who are far more inviting who deserve my business. Wont be back! read more

This is my go-to pho spot and has been for several years! My partner and I have become regulars here because we come so often--the servers have our orders memorized by now. Everything I've had here is delicious, from the spring rolls to the pho to the combo plates to the drinks. I usually get the shrimp spring rolls and the filet mignon pho with a Thai tea. I appreciate that the pho broth is not too salty like other places! To me, broth is not supposed to be overpoweringly salty, but I know that's a personal preference. Good quality meats and lots of noodles in the pho bowls. The indoor space is decorated nicely and very clean, the bathrooms are clean and smell nice, and the service is always top tier. This was my first time at Phở Mai and it definitely won't be my last! The phở was excellent full of flavor even before adding the toppings, and once you add them in, it gets even better. The noodles were cooked perfectly, not too soft and not too firm. The spring rolls were bomb and super fresh. Ordered the beef sandwich & egg rolls & had it delivered through Uber Eats. The French roll was so hard it was like a super thick cracker. You could easily knock on a door with the bread because it was so hard. Flavor was good, just hard to eat so I ended up tossing the sandwich. Egg rolls were fine. I love banh mi & Vietnamese food in general, but this sandwich was terrible. Makes me sad to review like this but don't want someone else to find out the hard way. Literally. I had a very disappointing experience at Pho Mai. The service was extremely unprofessional. While I was trying to place my order, one of the employees approached me and said, "I remember you," and then told me he was going to charge me extra because of the way I ordered before. I found that completely inappropriate. No customer should be told they are being charged extra simply because an employee remembers them. If there are pricing policies, they should be clearly explained, not enforced in a personal or confrontational way. When I asked for his name, he refused to give it to me. I asked another employee for his name and instead of helping resolve the situation, she told me he was the nicest one there and said that if I did not like it, they could cancel my order and I could leave. I had done nothing wrong and was simply asking for clarification. The entire interaction felt disrespectful and dismissive. Customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and professionalism, not approached with attitude or threatened with extra charges. Literally the ONLY pho place I go to! When I first tried Pho I wasn't the biggest fan so I tried multiple places to see if it would change my mind. This place definitely changed my mind....it never disappoints. The staff there is super nice and very attentive & the wait time for food isn't really to long of a wait. We Love this place! Mine and my husband's favorite place to get pho, but may not return anytime soon. They switched up their cleaning product to fabuloso and it reeks with the smell I just can't dine in and eat at places that smell like that. That stuff isn't even antibacterial. Pad Thai and mango sticky rice takeout is not the best choice from here the mango sticky was hard it tasted undercooked for a whopping 14$ I would've expected a mind blowing experience and the portion was lacking, definitely never ordering again, the pad Thai was a ball of pad Thai noodles I didn't think of reviewing until I got to the mango sticky rice didn't take a picture but I would not recommend for takeout. Heard about this place through the grapevine but unfortunately wasn't as great of an experience as I'd hoped. We were seated pretty quickly and host was polite. Upon ordering we received some water and waited patiently. When our food arrived. An older gentleman essentially dropped our food off at the very end of the table and didn't explain which bowl belonged to whom. When I called out my bowl number he pretty much ignored me as well as inquires from everyone in our group. This resulted in a few orders getting mixed up and folks eating others food without realizing it. The pho itself was ok. Broth wasn't my favorite and the filet mignon I actually left some behind because it wasn't satisfying. The restaurant itself is really nice inside and the bathrooms were clean. Food could be better and SOME who work there need better customer service. I MAY be back if I'm in the area to give it another go. Upon arrival we were seated really fast and we were able to choose where we wanted to be seated. They have a good amount of pho items as well as vegan options. I tried their Chicken Pho and my sister tried their seafood pho which she really enjoyed. Their chicken pho was good as well but the chicken was very simple but you can add spices to your liking. We also got an order of egg rolls and they were really long and believe they had chicken which they were really good. I'm a creature of habit, so always order the 102 with no tofu, but with veggie ham (it's a noodle dish with veggies, veggie ham, tofu, jalapeños and noodles). Each time it's extremely flavorful, the vegetables are fresh, and is always tasty! The service is exceptional. No matter who my server is, they are always quick to take my order, quick to bring it out and always follow up to ensure that it was to my liking. This is the best Pho spot in San Bernardino. Their pho isn't instant, and you can taste it. The service is always awesome, plus they remembered my order from the many times I've visited. I ordered delivery from here. I really enjoyed the Pho Filet Mignon, the meat is packaged raw and cooks when you poor the hot broth over it. The meat was very tender. I appreciated the option to order more broth. I found the broth nice and flavorful. I also had the calamari and chicken wings. I enjoyed the sweet dipping sauce. It has been awhile since I visited Pho Mai. I didn't recognize this place when I walked in. It was renovated completely to a much modem looking place. The new look is clean and the decoration is fashionable. I wonder if it has a new owner. There was no host/hostess when we walked in. A waiter showed up moments later to seat us. The menu looks impressive, compares to what it had before. I ordered #1 pho special with everything. The broth is okay, the toppings seem to be just one each of each toppings. I means one meat ball (a quarter cut), one piece of tripe, one piece of tendon, and one slice of beef. There noodle seems to be precooked to me, they sit in the bottom of the bowl like they have between there awhile. After we finished, we sat there idlely waiting for our check, which never came. When we flagged down a server, he told us just go to the cashier counter to pay. So we got in line to pay and it took a few minutes since there were 4 of us and he had to take care of a to-go order in between. read more
