The entire intention was to consume enormous bowls of pho with various beef cuts, but the Yelp reviews suggested that the bo kho (beef stew) was one of the best. ONE OF THE BETTER LOCATIONS Since I first began enjoying pho, the Pho Ha has always been a go to spot for some excellent pho. Yet, not each Pho Ha are created equal. I know little about the restaurant and how each Pho Ha is connected, except that their Pho is often only amazing. My recent visit to this location, for the first time, offered a great pho experience - going by the pho only. And that is usually all that matters... however, the service here seems to lacking somehow. I stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening and the restaurant was busy but not jam-packed crowded. I got seated rather quickly after having to make myself stand out in order to get service. No one was ahead of me waiting for a table. Shortly after, I was seated, but seated without a menu and had to walk up to the counter after a minute or two to get one for myself. The server who sat me got busy helping all the other customers without making sure I had a menu to look at and order from. The older gentleman who was at the front counter soon followed me back to my table about a couple minutes later (literally) and was ready to take the menu back. It seemed he was more interested in getting the front desk's menu returned instead of taking my order. By that time, however, I already knew what I wanted and I gave him my order and requested for water when asked what I wanted to drink. I meant to ask for a medium bowl, yet there was no questioning what size I wanted. My pho came and I was in Pho Heaven - regardless of it being the larger bowl than I wanted. Soon, the pho was all gone, I was basically finished but had plenty of broth left over to take home. Unfortunately, I had to ask about 3 times for a container. Once to the server... then to the older man at the front desk about 10 minutes later after asking the server. Then a third time back at the server I requested it from initially. Feeling invisible in a crowded restaurant when looking for service isn't all too nice. It's good I was not in a hurry. Oh, if only I spoke Vietnamese maybe then I'd have better service. Last but not least, the parking lot is small. It is on a busy corner, and it is difficult to back out of when leaving the restaurant... so I recommend backing into a parking spot if possible, so exiting is much easier. Great place for Pho! They just need to be a bit more attentive to smaller parties, such as a single diner, party of one. read more

I went with the steak and flank pho. The steak was tender and thinly sliced. The flank had good flavor but it was very chewy and hard at some parts. Reason why I give it a 4.5 rather than a 5. The Thai tea was good! I didn't get boba so I'm not sure of how their boba is. A bit pricey for a bubble tea drink since it isn't a boba shop but good flavor nonetheless. I'm so happy there's a pho ha here! The food here was consistent with the other locations - Pomona, Rowland Heights, Diamond Bar, and Anaheim. The only thing that is inconsistent is there is their Sate. Pho (4.5/5) - super hot, not oily, and not sweet. Noodles were cooked well and there was a good amount of meat. Bbq spring roll (4/5) - pork ratio was good and yummy. The peanut sauce was okay, a little bland. Service was super slow but the food made up for it. We politely asked if we could exchange the drink because it did not look right and is not edible. He immediatly took offense, but settled on exchanging it for us, then came back and was trying ti tell us he won't exchange it. Then the manager came over and both of them began to argue with us about how we are costing them money and we shouldn't have ordered it if we didn't like it. (We both love vietnamese coffee so it's not like we don't like coffee) They kept coming back to our table to bother us about it telling us that this isn't okay, even though we only asked for an exchange. All-in-all if the manager and waiter are willing to yell at 3 young women in front of the entire restaurant over a simple exchange for a bad product, they should not be supported.
