Lemongrass Beef & Egg Rolls with Rice Vermicelli
    Rebecca L.

Hidden in a deserted plaza is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant! Everything was fresh and deliciously prepared. The place was fully renovated with a clean washroom. There were two types of Cha Gio (egg rolls): regular wrap and rice paper wrap. Having both available is not common; both were flavorful. The Pho soup tasted more herbal than those commonly found in other Vietnamese restaurant. I highly welcome this non-artificial, non-chemical flavor. The noodles were al dente - yum!! Oh, they offer a choice of thin or thick noodles. Iced Thai Tea's list price was very expensive, but they are currently running a Buy-One-Get-One special. My only complaint is that the dishes came with slices of lemon instead of lime. But that only brings my 5+ star review to a 5.0! LOL P.S. ok, I lied a little. The rare beef in the pho was overcooked too, but I was so happy with the noodle texture, soup, and the tender tendon that I totally forgot about the minor blemish. Can't wait to try even more dishes.

Garlic sautéed filet mignon Pho as recommended by the friendly staff. Sooo bomb. Size small bowl.

Well Dayum, that was one of the best pho ive ever had. I chose the filet mignon pho from the extensive choices of pho combinations they offer. But the friendly attentive wait staff recommended the filet mignon sauteed in garlic version, and that was so bomb. The Broth was incredible. I want more. They got themselves a future returning customer because ingot to try their stone pot version now and there beef back rib pho next time. The price is so much better than the surrounding pho's in the area too. I got a small bowl and it was just right for me considering i wanted a late light lunch, with early dinner plans later on. The atmosphere is really nice and modern and clean. The wait staff actually cares at this location and it might be due to the fact its a family owned business employing some family members. There so many options on the menu for everyones taste. from rice dishes to appetizers and pho ga as well with multiple cuts of chicken to choose from (Wings, breast and thigh) Skip That garbage Phoholic (worst pho this side of sgv). Any other oho spot is better than that place in this area.

I've been a regular at Pho Lovers 3 for a long time, so I was really happy to see them open a 4th location closer to home. It's nice being able to enjoy one of my favorite pho spots without the usual long drive. The food and service were both excellent. The vermicelli with lemongrass beef and egg rolls was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Their pho was just as good as always, especially the broth at this location. It has a cleaner, lighter flavor compared to the richer and heavier broth at the other locations, which I personally prefer. Overall, another great experience and definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to.

New location in Rowland Heights that just opened! If you're looking for a pho place, this is a good place to go to! It is hidden inside the plaza. Not many other shops are opened so you'll notice it once you're inside the little plaza. It's the the back corner. It's not where the cmart building but the building over. Interior decor was nice and clean. Definitely appreciate the cleanliness of a new shop. Friendly service and delicious food! Ample portions and plentiful parking in the lot. Try the spring rolls and the rice paper roll. Definitely great appetizers. Pho and vermicelli were great! We will be back for more!

One of my pickleball buddies and I decides to try one of newest pho restaurants in town. Pho Lovers is the fourth chain store located at Rowland Heights. The restaurant is really spacious, traditional and cafe style decor with flat screen on the wall. Service is friendly and attentive. It wasn't too busy on a weekday lunch. So I order #13 pho tai lan which is more of fusion pho, they stir fried the meat first and not raw. The soup base is thicker, stronger, and more savory. The flat noodles we choose is really good too. Vegetables and ingredients in the soup are fresh too. Overall, this pho restaurant is highly recommended and no wait time at all.

I love Pho so it's natural to come to Pho Lovers for their Pho. They only offer Pho and other appetizers dishes. You will not find rice or noodles dishes here. Since they just opened about a month ago, I'm not sure if they will offer other dishes besides Pho. Restaurant looks pretty nice and clean inside. It is located inside the little strip mall. Ordered the #21 Pho Tai Duoi Bo, which is Pho with rare beef and oxtail. Also got the Shrimp Spring Rolls and the Peach Tea. The Pho was so good. The broth was perfect. The Oxtail meat was soft and easily falls off the bones. The Shrimp Spring Rolls and the Peach Tea were good as well. The staffs were quite welcoming and friendly. If you love Pho then this is the place for you.

This place is hidden inside a one use to be popping strip mall. My friend and I got sat down right away and the service was amazing. I ordered the pho back ribs and it was flavorful and a lot of meat! I definitely recommend this dish if you've never tried anything like that before.

I'm glad we have a delicious pho option in the area! The new Pho Lovers 4 is in the HK Plaza, and I recently checked it out. The restaurant is new and clean, and the decor gave it a slightly upscale feel. We ordered the pho with beef back ribs, pho with rare beef and meatballs, Vietnamese rice paper egg rolls, and shrimp spring rolls. Everything was tasty! I loved pho with the beef back ribs. The rib meat was falling off the bone, and the broth was flavorful and tasty. The egg rolls were crispy and delicious, and the spring rolls was a nice healthier balance. Service was quick and efficient. Overall, great spot for when you're craving a hot bowl of pho!

What defines a great bowl of pho? It starts with the broth, the depth of flavor, the richness of the aromatics, and that slow simmered quality you can taste in every spoonful before it even reaches your bowl. Pho Lovers delivered. The broth was bold and full bodied, clearly simmered with care. They did not skimp on the toppings either, offering a generous variety of beef cuts along with fresh vegetables. For an area that is predominantly Chinese, I was pleasantly surprised to see plenty of basil, along with culantro and even pickled onions. The restaurant itself is open and clean, though a bit tricky to find since it is tucked inside the old HK Plaza. Parking was easy, even if the lot could use some repaving. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely come back.

Phở tái lăn (stir-fried rare filet mignon)
    Jeremy S.

It was my first time visiting this new pho restaurant, and the quality was solid. It's located in the New Colima Plaza, which is a mostly vacant and minimally maintained indoor shopping mall. I noticed a surge of praise, so I decided to check it out. I arrived here later in the afternoon and got seated immediately. However, there were still several people eating inside. I ordered a small phở tái lăn ($17.50), which had stir-fried rare filet mignon. This was included in the "specialty phos" portion of the menu, hence the relatively high price. The portion size was filling, but I didn't leave with leftovers. While the broth was really savory and hearty, I think I would've preferred ordering something more light. Adding the stir-fried meat to the soup made it more oily. I decided to put all the garnishes into the broth, so that helped. For example, the bean sprouts were very refreshing. The filet mignon was tender, but I personally didn't think it tasted markedly better than other meats I've had in pho. Service here is basic, and the servers mainly leave you to yourself. It's nice for an easy and quick lunch if you're ever in a hurry. You pay at the front when you're ready to leave. One tip is that part of the parking lot here is poorly maintained, so try to avoid the potholes.

    Sam L.

Wow, what a gem in the hearts of Rowland height. My wife and I discovered the best Pho restaurant in town. The pho here is fresh and delicious, with generous portions. The hot stone pho is served with fresh bone broth and LARGE portion of brisket, tripe, meat balls and extra meat on top. Beside the pho, I also suggest to try out the rice paper roll, it's crunchy and flavorful with fresh vegetables to wrap with The dinning area are clean and spacious, also the restroom is also extremely clean with nice tiles on the wall. Service her is beyond and above, fast and friendly. Definitely will b back and highly recommended. Long story short, 10 outta 10 a must for authentic pho.

Winter was a great, friendly host who recommended the #19 for something hearty and garlicy. Also...Yelpers get a free Thai iced tea for a review! I chose green. They also are very open to feedback, it seems, since I asked if they had a member/point system, and they said it was a good idea which they will mention to the owner. Winter was really sweet, coming to the area I was waiting to hand me my drink and order when it was ready in around 10 mins (two small, yet generously-sized bowls of #17 & #19). She even held the door open for me so I didn't have to juggle my prizes! Their bathroom is clean and cute! Now onto the good stuff: Winter recc'd the #19 because the filet is sauteed in garlic. I agree that the garlic flavor is a nice touch which doesn't overpower the rest of the dish. Fantastic! The greens are all fresh & flavorful, the thin noodles we chose a perfect chew, and the #17's large beef ribs a literal fall-off-the bone tenderness. And the star: the broth. So good, I didn't even need to add the lime or sauces. It's so rare to find a broth that stands on its own so well! Will be back again soon!

I got 3 items to-go... here's our take on them. 1. Pho Ga (Chicken) - OMG, chicken broth was the B*MB! Very light and not oily... just simple clean and flavorful broth. Lots of shredded chicken that wasn't dry... quite moist. Fresh onions and herbs. Tons and I mean tons of rice noodles. I'm getting this again! 2. Pho Tai (Rare Steak) with tendon - My daughter ate this. She said it was very very delicious. Broth was amazingly savory. Tons of rare steak slices. Tendon was good. Fresh veggies. Lots of rice noodles. Another must get! 3. Shrimp Egg Rolls - These were tasty. Shrimps were good size shrimps. Wonton skin was perfectly fried and crispy. Delish! I would get this again, too. Everything was fantastic! Broth was authentic and tasty. Flavor was on point. Taste was delicious. Portion was huge. Owner and service were top-notch. I am coming back for more pho-bro-liciousness. The inside has a few booth and table seatings. I would say no more than 15 tables total. Phở Tái Sách/ Pho w/ Rare Steak and Tripe (regular): The pho bowl came with a huge size portion of noodles, soup, rare steak and tripe. On top they garnished it with green onions, cilantro and thinly sliced white onions. The meat they used is very thinly sliced and tender. The tripe was also cooked well. If you have never had tripe before I would describe it as having a super mild taste and it's mostly there to adds texture. It tastes really great too because t soaks up the broth flavor. If you like chewy noodles or mushrooms with a bit of bite, you might like tripe. The pho noodles they used are the ones I love the most. It's a thin pho noodle and they cooked them perfectly. The broth is clear, has a good depth of flavor, not overly greasy and the salt amount they added is perfect. On the side they give you a plate of other garnishes, beansprouts, chili peppers, lime, and basil which you can add to your hearts content. Spring rolls: I loved these a lot. They were very fresh and stuffed. Inside the spring roll is shrimp, sliced pork, lettuce, basil, and vermicelli. This is served with a side of peanut sauce. Loved that the sauce had chunks of peanuts for crunch. Overall: All the staff are very friendly, and the pho tastes homemade and authentic. Definitely a solid go-to when you're craving something warm and comforting. I'm so glad I found this lovely gem! I can't wait to come back again. I was shocked when I went in to pick up that my order (a grilled pork banh mi, an order of egg rolls, and an iced coffee) was freaking $32!! I didn't get an itemized receipt, so once I got back to my car, I went to their website to look up prices. 4 egg rolls are $12.50. That's $3 per egg roll! The sandwich is $11 and the coffee is $6. The kicker is that there's a combo--sandwich and coffee--for $15. They could've saved me some money, but they chose to not to in order to make a few extra bucks. Their prerogative, but in this economy, not cool to not help out. The result: a customer who's not coming back and who's posting about it to warn others. I normally don't do this because I'm aware that mom and pops are struggling. It's also possible that the menu prices on their website are out of date and they did give me the combo price, but THIRTY-TWO DOLLARS (!!) for a sandwich (great bread and tasty but sweet pork, a little underwhelming on the fillings overall), some egg rolls (with enough lettuce for each one, as well as sauce and do chua, but also a little underfilled), and a 16 oz cup of coffee with ice and condensed milk is pretty crazy. I can get the same meal nearby for at least $5 less or find other types of food that'll feed more people for the same price.
