Located in a busy shopping center, Pho Rowland is a must try! For years, I've come around this area and never knew about the delicious Pho right in front of me. Upon arriving, parking on weekends is definitely a bit of a hassle, but with some patience finding a spot is no problem- maybe expect a little bit of a walk. Walking inside the establishment, you'll find a small but comfortable place with enough seating to even fit a larger party. Service is always very quick and helpful, they answer any questions you may have about the menu & give excellent recommendations! My go-to for a first time try is always a Pho Bo Vien (meatball pho); I like to see how different places have different flavors and ways of making it. Had a blast eating the Pho Dac Biet here! It's so rare for me to to have meat last the entire bowl, but that's how much they load you up. Had a squeeze of lime and sambal/chili oil with each bite and it was awesome. The broth was pretty decent, wasn't overly salty so I could actually taste the beef flavor. This is a decent spot for pho and the chili oil they have as part of the condiments is really good. -Pho Dac Biet: Decent. The meat toppings are high quality. The broth is not bad. -Bun Bo Hue: Underwhelming. The broth needed more flavor but adding their chili oil to it did make it taste better. The beef pieces tasted okay. Having some blood cake in bun bo hue is important imo but there wasn't any in my bowl. I guess at the end of the day this is mainly a pho restaurant, so I'd focus on just getting pho here. read more

Amazingly, this place has been around for a few decades, I've lived in the area for a few decades, and we're finally gotten around to eating here. Dad wanted pho after the doctor's office and we decided to try this place. Friendly greeting upon entering and was seated with menus immediately. While waiting for my dad, I ordered the banh xeo to start. I went with my usual vermicelli and dad got the special combo pho. Portions are huge! I had the Large Pho Dac Biet which was exceptionally delicious and a very large portion. I had to try the shredded pork spring rolls, and those were equally delicious. I always have to get Vietnamese coffee or cafe sua da which helps at the end of the meal because it's a very Carrie meal but the seating is wonderful. The environment is nice. My go to Pho in Rowland Heights! Always have a good experience coming here. Living on the west side, there aren't many good Pho options, so always have to come here for my fix when I'm in town. Their Pho is soo good- chewy noodles and flavorful broth. My boyfriend likes that they have sriracha and sambal (not every place has both). I also like ordering their Bun Bo Hue and their Tiny Vermicelli with pork and egg rolls. All soo good. They always have quick service and it's usually easy to get a table. I ordered the bun rieu and I personally thought the broth was a bit bland and I wish I had gotten a rice dish instead but to be fair I like when the soup is more pungent. It's great for people who are unfamiliar with that specific dish and want to try it, though! It also came with a lot of protein and the perfect amount of noodles. As for the pho, my boyfriend ordered it and he said it was really good! It was moderately busy when I went on a Sunday afternoon but we didn't have to wait for a table. The service was quick and they have a lot of options on the menu if you're feeling soupy, dry, rice, noodles, or even something else. It's located in the same plaza as a lot of other popular business (Chicha San Chen, Sun Nong Dan, etc) so it might be a bit difficult to find parking even though there are a lot of spots. There were a few groups eating when we entered, but it wasn't full so we were told to sit where we pleased. I called ahead to ask if they offer vegetable broth and was pleased to hear that they do. Thank you! I ordered the tofu vegetable pho. It came out fairly quickly. It was delicious and hit the spot. I was very full after finishing my bowl, which says a lot because I occasionally have to order extra noodles to feel full. My friend ordered the steak pho and she couldn't have been happier. This restaurant offers great pho and great portions at a good price. Shoutout to the employee who went above and beyond to recommend that I return and try another vegetarian option they have available on the menu, Banh Xeo - a Vietnamese crepe. This place was so good! I came here with a friend at 8pm on a Monday night so it was empty except for me. The place is well lit and extremely spacious. I ordered the egg rolls, a large combo pho(+beef balls), the banh xeo, and a side of grilled pork. Food came extremely fast. Those fried egg rolls are incredible. So crispy with the perfect amount of filling. The combo pho was huge with the noodles perfectly cooked and the beef not overcooked like a lot of places tend to do it. By the time the banh xeo came, I was pretty full even though I was splitting it with my friend. The shell was super crispy and there was a lot of bean sprouts in there which is the way I like my banh xeo. Definitely would recommend this place! Prices are super reasonable. Always come to this local Pho spot. Love the Pho Special that has a bunch of different beef and amazing broth. I've also had the Grilled Pork, Pork Skins, and Egg Loaf rice, which is another favorite of mine. I always get the egg rolls as well. I've tried the Spring Rolls too, which look pretty with the whole green onion sticking out, but always need to ask for extra peanut sauce. The service is always great and fast. Their serving size was huge and it definitely was fulfilling but their pho broth was very bland so it was difficult to finish it all. Their rice dish on the other hand was great, but if you're named after the pho dish I was expecting more flavor and depth to the broth and even when adding sriracha and other condiments it was still too bland for my liking. This is a traditional Vietnamese soup with a flavorful broth flavored with tomatoes, shrimp paste, fish sauce, and a meat broth. The taste was on point. The prices are a little pricey compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Total was $86 for 3 adults (plus tips). They even charged $0.25 for the take-out boxes. The pho is authentic and good quality. The meat is so tender it actually falls apart. That could be a bad thing if you're not good with chopsticks. But in my opinion it's good when it's that tender. The broken rice dishes are my favorite because it's so fresh. Love the egg loaf. They have the best egg rolls because it's made the traditional way with rice paper and deep fried. Now I'm not a fan of the bun or spring rolls because they don't offer mint. But other than that everything is fresh. What can I say. We travel from LA to come here. This is by far the best pho I have had in California. It does not have that mom and pop feel of a small restaurant, but the feel of a mom and pop restaurant that prides itself in quality food and appearance. The staff is super friendly, they make you feel at home. We have come here for a while and they always greet us with a smile. The pho is great. Fantastic taste with its simplistic delivery.
