We were so excited to be getting a Pho place in NB (and now there are several) that we tried it almost immediately. We have been regulars since-primarily takeout-but when we're there, the service is good even when they're busy. The Pho is excellent! Feel free to compare to the best Pho you've ever had and you won't be disappointed. We just recently started trying new things on the menu and so far so good too. New Braunfels really needed a pho place. Now that a poke place is going in across the highway NB may be a great place to stop for something other than poorly done German food. The egg rolls were very good. The Bahn Mi was excellent. The bread on the bahn mi was perfect. The flavor was excellent and they didn't skimp on the meat. Slightly more meat would of course be better. The combination pho was very good. The ingredients were fresh. They had all of the appropriate condiments including some pickled Jalapeños on the table. The best surprise was the bahn mi. Having a good pho place with a good bahn mi is not that common. The soft opening went very well and the service was great. I look forward to coming back. Edit: as of the third visit the quality has dropped. Banh Mi lacks meat, the bone broth tastes like water. It is also annoying that they do not have a place to wait for a seat. Standing out in the cold with little kids is a bit much. Otherwise you have to wait inside and stand over people that are eating...awkward. Some prolific yelper messaged me and asked how a place can go down in quality so fast...he was being snarky. Don't ask me ask them. Finally, a real Noodle House in New Braunfels. Wish they had Bon Mi Bo Kho but the Pho is really Pho and I can live with that. Spring Rolls are good but the peanut sauce is different from traditional. Clean building, friendly staff, and good service. I will definitely be back here. read more

We really like the Pho, the Vietnamese egg rolls are good, but not great. ***BEWARE if paying here by credit card, we've been double charged twice now! When we go back in with the receipts and charges, they pretend they don't understand! Tried to go to another Pho restaurant in the area, but it didn't workout, so I came here. I AM SO GLAD I CAME HERE. This place was outstanding from the get go. Walked in to see a beautiful wall of water which led to a interior decor of traditional Vietnamese luxury. The bone broth and noodles were perfectly seasoned and balanced. The duck meat was just a little bit tough, but the flavor was 100% outstanding. Wait staff smiled often and was beyond courteous. I am now a loyal customer of Pho NB and I can't wait until next weekend to come here again!!! read more

I am so glad that NB got a legit Pho restaurant but there is so much room for this place to grow. I love that the options available seem authentic and well made. The Vietnamese egg rolls were very tasty and the sauce was perfect. My beef Pho was excellent. I haven't had pho like that since my wife and I moved here. My wife's chicken pho was way too oniony. The onion overpowered everything in the soup and kinda ruined it for her. I know we Americans are really needy and self centered but when we sit at a restaurant, my expectation is to be served well. They had multiple opportunities to go above and beyond and just missed the mark. I could be biased because my Pho place in Fort Worth was about as good as it gets food and service wise. I will definitely be back and hope that this place stays open because I need pho in my life and hope that they strive to be the best. read more

For a small town, it is one of the better Vietnamese restaurants with several authentic dishes. I have been there now several times and would go back to order off the specialty menu. read more

I have been going here for years. It's definitely my favorite restaurant in town. The food never disappoints I usually only get the pho because it's soooo good. When I first moved here from the city of Denver I had high hopes for finding some new favs in NB and struggled finding AUTHENTIC Pho in town. The other places make their dishes from concentrate but here is from scratch and is SO delicious!! They have other authentic Vietnamese dishes as well and everything is made in house. *****I saw a review on here that rated them one star***** which after being a long time customer and knowing how the restaurant industry has SEVERELY been affected from covid, seems super shallow. They probably would have been willing to work something out for any mistakes and are super nice, extremely hardworking people. When people speak a different language (particularly one of Asian culture) and are super busy you cannot assume that they are being rude towards you. Sometimes when they're speaking in their own native language it can sound that way but I promise you these are some of the nicest people I have ever met!! Take note that a lot of restaurants are incredibly understaffed because no one wants to work right now so be expecting a slightly longer wait time and tighter seating if you go during the busy times people!! Please be kind, if a mess up happens don't completely bash them and risk ruining their business because small biz owners are already trying so hard to make a comeback. Quite enjoyable experience eating here. It was super busy but the staff made sure we got seated quickly and were able to order soon. The Pho is good, nothing out of this world or inventive but just what you need when you want a bowl of noddles with no fuss. I got the sliced beef and tendon. Herbs, sprouts, lime was very fresh. A big plus for me, everything was good. I saw some people complain the Pho was watery. You know it might be, it might not. Everyone likes it different. I thought it was fine. This place has gotten popular, so give them a chance. For the price of a bowl of noddles here, nobody should be complaining. It's a good deal. We did order beef meatballs on the side and they were so rubbery we couldn't eat more than a couple. Don't order these. The steamed dumplings were good but I would recommend getting them fried. They were a bit gummy steamed. Flavor was good in the filling. The steamed rice pots (can't remember the name) was quite good as well! I'll be back for sure! read more

Had the P4 brisket and Rare eye steak and deep fried Vietnamese spring rolls and all where done very well. The restaurant was very clean with proper spacing and staff had properly PPE at all times. We will be back! read more

Their pho has gotten a lot better since when they opened. Now it has a lot more flavor.

Have eaten here twice, once I got the brisket pho and recently I got the pork banh mi and Vietnamese spring rolls. I defining prefer Pho 4 Star for pho, the broth is just a lot better, too much cinnamon or something in the broth here. The banh mi was very good though, and that's something 4 star doesn't have. I saw a review that said they skimped on the meat but mine was fine. The white rice was definitely overcooked/sitting out for a while, it didn't taste fresh at all. Also, the hoisin was abnormally spicy, which is weird considering I've never had hoisin that was spicy at all. Overall I'll definitely come here for banh mi, but that's about it. read more

I recently went with my friends because we were all visiting a friend in town. She told us about this place, the only thing that was good was the food. The service was horrible, we would get ignored when we asked a question. The waitress was kind of nice compared to the rest of the staff. The worst part of this whole experience was they charged us for an extra entree we didn't get. There was only 6 of us, but they had 7 entrees on the ticket. They MADE MY FRIEND PAY FOR IT!! Even though that isn't what he got. We had already left before he told us what happened. I was furious but we were on time because we had to head back home, so I was unable to go back. I don't want others to go through what we did, so this is why I'm sharing my experience so it doesn't happen to others!! If you're looking for a new pho place, don't come here unless you want horrible service and might get charged for something you didn't get. read more

I love this restaurant. The food comes out super fast my only complaint is that the staff seem to want to rush me into ordering my entree each time. I like enjoying my app and finishing it BEFORE I order. There's also a woman who works here who immediately takes over anything the other staff do and the others just kinda stand behind the counter aimlessly. We have been waiting for this restaurant to open. We were not disappointed. The food reminds us of the Pho we used to get in Houston. Their menu is a little overwhelming, but I guess we can eat the for years and not have the same thing. We found the waitstaff very friendly and responsive to our needs. Had a great lunch here today. I'm not sure how the other reviewers here could say the service was lacking. We were seated right away at 12:15pm when we walked in. Everyone was so friendly and helpful as this was our first time eating PHO. The Vietnamese egg rolls were delish (eaten like a lettuce wrap). I tried the beef soup-awesome. Hubbs had the beef noodle bowl (he's a big man & would have liked more beef). We left content, and enjoyed our lunch. The inside is simple and very clean. Our waitress was Dao. This place looks unassuming, but the food is delicious and the service is great!

Stopped by here and had a late lunch. We ate the spring rolls, and summer rolls with pork and shrimp inside. Then we ordered a beef noodle bowl and banh mi which we split both. Not crowded. got food very quickly and enjoyed our meal. Iced tea was good too. Next time we will try the Pho which we talked to the manager is made from scratch. No msg base here. read more
