Crab rangoon

First time here, my brother brags about this place, so time to try. I liked that there wasn't a line, good amount of space. Clean, open, cute. Service was fast, no wait at all. Prices were decent. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, with fried rice and my soup was wonton soup, my mean came with an egg roll. The chicken was great and amazing! The egg roll was so good. Hot and juicy. The fried rice....noooo way! Not good in give that a 1 star. It was dry, and no flavor. Over all it was good and I do recommend it off your wanting quick Asian food

Beef Brisket Pho

My mom and I wanted to try a new Pho place, and this place was great. Good customer service. We never went thirsty, someone was always making sure we had water. The food came out decently quick as well and was fresh! We got the Spring Rolls, they were delicious. Although I forgot to take a photo! We also both got the Beef Brisket Pho, I added Tofu to mine. The portions were unexpectedly HUGE. My mom maybe finished half, I have a bigger appetite but still couldn't finish mine completely. The restaurant itself was clean, and I liked the glass waterfall in the entry way. Would definitely come back! My mom is already wanting to!

Pho NB is our go to for pho in New Braunfels! It is everything you expect for a Vietnamese restaurant - the service is super fast, the broth is hot, and they will take your order very quickly. Whether you are dining in or ordering take out, the quality is good and you know what you will be getting. The broth is not too sweet, not too salty, and not too heavy cinnamon flavor. The spring rolls and egg rolls are classic and delicious. The chicken fried rice is good too. The Com Suon Nuong (Charcoal Broiled Pork Chops rice plate) is also pretty good but the pork chop pieces are more rectangular chunks that the flank style I was expecting. The Bahn Mis are pretty decent as well. Pho NB would get the classic Asian restaurant 3.5 stars (meaning they are the real deal) but Yelp doesn't give half stars.

Ask the Community - Pho NB

Did Pho NB open up any new restaurants in the New Braunfels area? I heard there was a new one open near, with someone claiming that it's part of the original restaurant.

No, Pho NB has not opened any new restaurants in the New Braunfels area. I've visited the original Pho NB location and spoken with the management, who confirmed that they currently operate only one location in the area.

Ordered the General Tso's & Broccoli Chicken. Since it was our first time here, we tried one of each of the options for available apps/sides. General Tso's breading was just OK. Came right off the meat once it cooled a bit. Flavor was alright. Broccoli chicken was good, good portion ratio of chicken and brocc. Egg drop soup was craaazy "dac" in vietnamese or starchy/overly thick. I didn't care enough to try and finish it. Wontons were good. Eggroll & crab rangoon was crunchy and crispy, both are safe option... but def smaller and disappointing for price. Fried rice surprisingly had no veggies or eggs or anything but had some good flavor. Not much wok "hei" or smokiness. There seemed to be plenty of seating, maybe 4/5 tables still occupied after lunch rush hr. We'll give them another shot for viet next time.

The wonton soup is so yummy! I got the bahn mi and it was okay, the pork was fatty. My girlfriend got the vermicelli and she said it was delicious, but the egg rolls that came with it were greasy. My brother got the pho and he loved it. The people in there were very nice and the vibe was chill which I like.

Barely any meat in the pho when taken to-go. the soup is not your typical pho, it was a weird variant and maybe i am unfamiliar with this style of pho, but it was truly disappointing. The serving size was so small for $20 per pho and it was $8 for 2 crummy spring rolls that had one shrimp cut in half for each spring roll. The other reviewer that said the peanut sauce was wack, was correct. it was not the normal sauce, it was some weird oil with peanut butter bits floating in it. The crab rangoons were not bad. I just really would not recommend this to someone who really loves pho." - I said this a month ago and took it down because the owner called to harass me questioning why I left a bad review. She called me 2-3 times at 9-10pm at night trying to get ahold of me. She left a voicemail saying she wanted to talk in person and explain to me the purpose of "tax" and "having to pay for bills." At this point I was scared and removed my review but let me just say, if I could leave 0 stars, I would.

I have tried the chicken rice plate and beef skewers and the combo appetizer as well everything I have tried is good but the pork chops still at number one. My husband gets vermicelli and hes picky about his vermicelli their sauce they use doesnt have a horribly strong fishy taste like most places do so thats why he loves it so much. I definitely recommend this place.

We arrived at 4pm to meet my parents and the place was maybe a third full, happy with noise. It took a while to have anyone acknowledge our arrival and then another wait to have our drink orders taken and menus brought. Another wait for food orders and that's when three of us found out they were out of bread so the banh mi selections were not going to happen and we needed a minute to recalibrate. Ma and I noticed different things about the new menus. She felt they had a better (she even called it fancy) explanation of the dishes; I noticed the menu had been Americanized in a manner one might expect for Seguin. For instance, you won't find the words bánh mì anymore, they're just listed as sandwiches. There was only one employee on the floor tending all the tables, and she was doing her best. The food's still very tasty when it does arrive, which is why I'm still OK with it despite a couple rough spots. Mr R had his usual bun (giant bowl of rice vermicelli) which looked beautiful. Both my Midwestern parents chose chicken fried rice when their chicken sandwiches were unavailable--only ma took her leftovers home but they both said it was tasty and truth is the servings were sizeable. I went rogue and chose beef skewers off the appetizer menu, and they were delicious! The skewers came nicely presented and impressively charred. The beef was sliced thin and ribboned on skewers--since I wasn't sharing with anyone I ate them right off the stick and only made a bit of a mess on my shirt. The sauce was perfect and every bite tender excepting pleasurable little crispy edges here and there. Two guys came out front for a smoke break when a lull arrived and the remaining tables (including us) had been served. I assume it was the owner who came to check on everyone and apologize for the unusual wait as they were understaffed. I snuck Mr R a fifty which paid for most of the tab at the counter. When Mr R added the remainder and said to keep the change, he said the owner handed the entire tip straight to the waitress which was nice to hear. Seguin's not a town of adventurous eating so I hope this place keeps doing what it needs to survive and the kitchen keeps serving up the good stuff. If next time it's won back a star or two, I'll be thrilled to bits.

I came here on a word-of-mouth recommendation, and I was intrigued before I even sat down. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a beautifully designed waiting area showcasing the restaurant's many awards and accolades. It immediately sets the tone that you're in for something special. We came with one goal: try as many things as possible. Saturdays are perfect for that because they offer dim sum. We started with the Pho Xiao Long Bao (Wagyu beef soup dumplings) and the Korean pancakes. The soup dumplings completely stole the show. Perfectly cooked, delicate wrappers, rich and flavorful broth, and with just a touch of chili oil...absolute perfection. I've had soup dumplings in many places, and these are hands down the best I've ever had. I say that with my whole chest. The Korean pancakes were also outstanding. Crispy on the outside, tender inside, with that perfect balance of savory and just a hint of sweetness. Every bite had great texture and flavor. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Banana Salmon. It was spectacular. It's one of those dishes that makes you question whether you've ever really had good curry before. The spice wasn't about heat, it was about depth, warmth, and layers of beautifully balanced flavor. I ordered the Crab&Shrimp Tom Yum Coconut Fried Rice, and this dish deserves its own paragraph. The presentation alone is stunning. The fried rice is served inside a fresh coconut, surrounded by banana leaves and topped with a beautiful orchid. But thankfully, it tastes every bit as incredible as it looks. The coconut adds a delicate sweetness without overpowering the dish. The crab was plentiful, sweet, and incredibly fresh, while the shrimp were perfectly cooked, not a second overdone. Dishes like this require impeccable timing because every ingredient cooks differently, and somehow every single component was flawless. It was one of the best fried rice dishes I've ever eaten. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was warm, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations based on their most popular dishes. They even told us about their live music nights, which immediately gave us another reason to come back. The table next to us was having Pho and needed with the mango sticky rice and I am coming back for that. Overall, 1618 Asian Fusion delivered on every level, beautiful atmosphere, exceptional food, and genuinely welcoming service. It's one of those restaurants that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even paid the bill. Highly recommend!
