My favorite Asian cousine is Thai and Chinese so when I see a Vietnamese place I tend to overlook it. I'm glad I decided to give this place a try. My favorite restaurant in this town so far. I called in my order and it took me 8 minutes to arrive once I got there my food was ready. I ordered vegetarian noodles, fried rice as well as the fresh spring rolls with tofu. The food looked extremely fresh and the portion was huge! I could have easily shared with 3 people. So the price was good based on the size. The man at the counter was very courteous and chatty. The establishment looked extremely clean and had ac. The only thing that could have used a little more flavor was the fresh spring rolls. I wasn't a fan of their peanut sauce either. Disappointed! The last two times we ate at Pho NB, we noticed that the pho was not as flavorful and the bun definitely was not as good. They are now using iceberg lettuce instead of the crisp, bright green, romaine lettuce. Reason? They have new owners for the last 3 months or so. Definitely, not as good. So disappointed in the quality now. P.S: the previous owners are opening their new restaurant in San Marcos next month. It will be called Pho Tran 88. Can't wait to try it! We love Pho NB! The staff is nice and accommodating. Food is delicious!! It's always clean and they're happy to have you there.

The service was great, the establishment was clean and located in a good location. As for the food it was ok. We went for the lunch special, I ordered the sesame chicken which was pretty good, the rice was more a Mexican rice than fried, and their egg roll was stale as if they reheated in the microwave. I do want to say that the service and staff were very friendly which is why we may give this place another chance. read more

Was looking for Chinese food and saw this was close to where we were and rated well. WOW!!! Have not had such great Chinese food since in San Francisco! Extensive menu, wonderful service and reasonable prices for VERY fresh and delicious food! We were seated by a gracious gentleman, in a pristine clean restaurant, who provided menu's and took our drink order. Our waiter came and was very familiar with the menu and promptly brought our soup choice which was delicious. The prevailing theme of the food was fresh, delicious, not over-sauced and generous with portions. Did not have that over soy sauce taste in everything nor the taste of MSG!! It was just delicious because of the quality ingredients and fresh sauces. Finely found a place that cooks without so much salt that you cannot taste the food. There is always the option of adding bottled sauces should you want that taste of spice kick. In such a difficult time, it was wonderful to see many regular customers as they knew exactly what to order without looking at the menu. Looks kinda rough on the outside, but don't judge this gem by its cover. The inside is clean and organized. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious! The food is amazing! The waiters/waitresses bring the food really fast. They have really good manners. Some might be funny with your kids(if they like it). Different waiters bring your food. The bathrooms are really clean. They are cleaner than many other restaurant bathrooms I've been in. When you enter the restaurant (unless it's full) they give you a table quickly. Worth a stop, but not the best I've had. The broth was not as aromatic as I like, and I love tendons, which in this case were cut kind of small and there were not many. I was so excited for this place to open. I saw the sign go up and I was so impatient to get here. I had kept wishing, "I hope its good!". I had a pho place back in Illinois I loved going to, I was in some real bad need for pho. So my birthday came around and it was finally open shortly before then. I can't tell you how amazing my first visit here was, since I feel no words can describe how good the food is here! I haven't had any passion for eating anything for quite some years now. It was just eat to make it through the day. When anyone would ask, what do you have a taste for? I'd say nothing. But I've been back to this place about 6 or 7 times since February. That's in less than a month. I CANNOT stop craving this pho!!! every time I have a little extra cash I come running over! I love pho...and Thai food! I never thought I'd find a favorite pho place here in NB, and would always smuggle some back from this place in Houston. When they had they're soft opening I was there....and I came back the next 5 days to try more. I work nearby so sometimes I'll just grab a bun mi togo. I once let a coworker try a bite. I didn't get my sandwich back lol. (She took me there to lunch the next day to make up for it so it was all good. It's now her fave restaurant in town.) It is a little small (like maybe 13 tables?) and it's already really popular with the locals, so if you go during lunch or dinner rush, be prepared to wait a little bit to get a table. This restaurant was very good! It's small but they still accommodated our party of six no problem. The service was fast and friendly. I had the chicken pho and my husband had the mix meat pho. We both thought they were great. We also had the shrimp spring roll which was very good. The kids had the sesame chicken. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very nicely decorated.
