The server did offer to remove a bad tasting item but I was over it and just wanted to leave and she left the charge on. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and was sat inside immediately. Service was quick and since we came hungry that was important to us. The restaurant was quite empty this day probably due to the rainy weather outside so we opted to sit inside. There is about 7-8 table inside the restaurant so be aware that if the weather isn't nice out you may have a harder time finding spots inside the restaurant. Parking is on the street but was easy to find (again due to not great weather). They food came out and I was shocked! For the price we got SO much food. I would genuinely say it felt like 3 servings. Every once in a while I wish I could give a place six stars. This is that place! Came here on a pleasant day and sat outside. Walk in, and a waiter will follow you to a your pick table. The seating inside is TINY so make sure it's a nice day so you can eat outside. Today was AWESOME. How often do you get to eat outside in NewB when it's a little above 70? I went all in and stuffed myself. And I say that willingly and gladly. I saw on the menu board they were having an appetizer special that I certainly couldn't resist: soft shelled crabs! For that, I get weak in the knees. So I ordered my own appetizer to split with no one but myself. I was in heaven. Hog heaven. Yeah, I was being a pig. Oink, oink I'm happy as a pig in ....! It tasted superb. I wasn't expecting much and it hit it out of the park. There were also two Thai "dipping" sauces. I tried both and loved both. I can't begin to describe them other than good & tasty. I followed that up with a Massaman Curry. I can never pass it up on a menu and it never disappoints. The only thing is that I think EVERY restaurant interprets it differently and not even closely the same. The menu said it was Massaman Curry with brisket so I laughed when the waiter asked me what protein. Brisket? I don't think he read the menu or understood so I said beef. Boy it was GOOD. This version was a sweet coconut curry with a slight amount of heat and very temp hot. I loved it with brown rice. Waiter was great. Plenty of pleasant outside seating. Crazy good food. I'm not sure about how the protein portions for entrees are in restaurant, but we ordered from Uber eats and the protein portions for our entrees were nonexistent. Shrimp pad see ew had 4 total shrimp in the box. Shrimp fried rice had 4 total shrimp in the box. Chicken Pad thai barely had any chicken. We had to dig through the noodles just to find a few small pieces. I was only able to get a pic of the pad thai due to my parents fixing their plates before I realized what had happened. It's their second day opened and they were running out of ice so they kept telling us they were low on it BUT they did everything to give us ice which I REALLY appreciate it because we sat outside and it was kind of hot. I had the pineapple fried rice HOT. (Goes from not spicy, medium spicy, Hot, extra hot) and it was not spicy at all!!! I was so bummed out. What I did is asked for spicy chili flakes and put it on it and it really added flavor to it because w out it it was not flavorful:( The portion was good & I traded my shrimp for chicken and it had a good portion of chicken. I heard about this place and since I craving Thai food I went to Thai Isan House. As you enter you are feeling as if you're in someone's home. They promptly seat you down in the next available room or if the weather is enjoyable there is plenty seating outside. The staff are great, kindly bringing the drinks and the food promptly. Now the food, started the meal with the Brisket Egg-rolls, they were delicious and well cooked, the Crab Rangoons had a wonderful flavor. The main dish that I selected was the General Tao's Chicken, it had a good texture and a great taste the sauce and the flavors were just right. Came back here again with another friend and ordered a different meal. Still fresh and delicious and the service was superb. A ton of people were getting takeout. We eat here at least once a week. We love the pad tai we always order it. And I NEVER forget the mango sticky rice. The sauce served with it is creamy, sweet, and has a subtle saltiness. SOOOO GOOD. I've been coming here for a few months, mainly take out though and it's been wonderful having more options other than Mexican and burgers in this town. The times I have eaten at the restaurant...service is good, I love an open kitchen, and the patio is nice for when weather is good! I do wish there was more of an ambiance inside but I think with the older smaller houses you kinda get what you get so at least have the food be good! I was really hoping this place would take Thai flavors and food seriously because New Braunfels has lacked a good Thai place for so many years. Unfortunately that hasn't happened here. I would call the food here "Americanized Thai fusion". What is that? It leans into lazy interpretations of Asian dishes heavy on sugar, fat, carbs. It's gives you a lot of low quality food for the money. It's a cook talent problem too and lack of detail to basics. I've eaten several times here and every time I am let down. The latest yesterday was Pad Ew See. Basically it was so sweet and lacking on protein and vegetables. I even order extra protein. I had so many noodles left over, I wondered if it was a mistake. It needed some acid so bad! I found a lemon (didn't have limes) to cut the salt and fat. Another time, I had a soup. It had so much fat at the top I wondered how they could have not skimmed off the fat. The broth wasn't clear either. Failure on two essentials. This is churned out food, with little talent. To begin, our server clearly struggled throughout the evening, but it was evident that the core issue wasn't her effort--it was a lack of proper training and support. From slow service to confusion over simple requests, it became clear she had not been adequately prepared to do her job. That responsibility lies with leadership, not the individual staff member. Most concerning, however, was the way an inquiry about a shellfish allergy was handled. All four employees we interacted with--including a gentleman who seemed to be the owner--gave different and inconsistent answers. In a restaurant, especially one that serves culturally rich and diverse food, there should be a clear and established system in place for handling food allergies. This is a basic, non-negotiable element of safe restaurant operations. Telling a customer, "We wash every pan after we cook," does not constitute an acceptable food safety protocol under ServSafe or any standard allergen guidelines. Additionally, we witnessed the server being fired in front of guests, with the gentleman raising his voice as she walked out. This was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional for everyone in the restaurant. Staff matters like this should always be handled privately and respectfully, away from customers. Not only was there no apology or acknowledgment to the tables who witnessed this, but the situation escalated into a disagreement with another party dining nearby. While the food itself was enjoyable, the service experience--and especially the way the situation was handled--ensured that we won't be returning. I want to be clear that we do not place the blame on the server. She appeared to be doing her best with little to no guidance, and that reflects a leadership issue. I hope you take this feedback seriously. Opening a new restaurant comes with growing pains, but creating a culture of professional, respectful service starts at the top. Went here on my lunch break. The lunch menu shows 2 different soups included but the waitress said they're different and that the menu is out dated. Okay. I got the miso soup and the tofu in it was low quality making it gritty so I didn't eat the tofu. I got the green curry and it had a foul smell to it, like sewage. I've had green curry a lot and it has never smelled like that before. I tried eating it because I was raised not to waste food but I couldn't do it. I thought it was cool one of the rice options was sticky rice but it was so over cooked it was mushy like paste. The roll was good though. I'm giving this place a three because their wait staff was outstanding. However, I don't know why this place gets such stellar reviews. Granted, I only had one item from here, but it was the worst version I've ever had, period! I got the Tom Kah Gai soup, which is usually my go to. It usually has a lot of complex flavors balanced with a rich creamy coconut milk broth. It SHOULD have galanga and lemon grass but, there was there was none. Instead, what I got was the Campbell Soup version of the soup. The coconut milk broth tasted like an artificial bastard version of what the real thing should be. I'm not even sure if that was coconut milk maybe there was a little bit in there, but it seemed like there was a thickening agent to give it the texture of real coconut milk. There was an overwhelming amount of green onions where I couldn't really taste anything else. The shrimp was cooked perfectly though, but the broth was garbage. I didn't get any chicken in it either so, that was odd. I added shrimp to it but, it should have come with chicken as well. Parking is a bit of a nightmare because this place is in a residential area. I haven't tasted the other dishes, but I'm not sure if I want to read more

Finally have a good thai restaurant in NB. My wife's fav. Our son just started there, Culinary Arts Institute graduate just a few weeks ago. Ba mee moo dang was super good. Pineapple fried rice was fantastic, never had better. Lard salad with fresh cabbage was surprisingly delicious. No pic, because they didn't last was the fried pork bread, melts in your mouth. We went for the first night of the soft opening. It was very busy. The food took quite a while to get, which I think can be expected for an opening night - especially when they are busy. The food was delicious! I had the pad Thai, and it had a really nice flavor. My husband tried the pineapple fried rice, which had chicken, sausage and shrimp in it. It was a generous portion and was good. Our friends had the Penang curry. We generally prefer red curry, which is usually spicier than Penang. However, they ordered it with medium spice, and I thought it was tasty. We would have liked to try some soup, but they only have meal size portions - a smaller cup of soup option would be a nice option. The restaurant is small, with only 4 tables inside, but they have a lot of outdoor seating at picnic tables and a ledge on the deck with high bar stools. I'm hoping their takeout business will be good, because I would love to pop in and get food to take home. I'm looking forward to going back to try some of their other dishes. Very cute place with a great deck and plenty of outdoor seating. Unfortunately the food was not very traditional. To be fair, I only tried the Papaya Salad. I ordered it Isan style, Thai spicy. It was neither. It was a refreshing salad (lots of lettuce) but it was not Isan style Som Tam. With Isan in the name of the restaurant I guess I expected more.
