Stir Fried Vegetables w/ Steamed Rice, Soda w/ Salted Plum & Ice
    Dana S.

Tried this Vietnamese restaurant since it was one of the last places open when I got off work. I ordered the stir fried vegetables with rice, which is the only vegetarian option on the menu, and a salted plum soda. Huge portion of both veggies and rice. I could've split the dish in half to get two decent-sized meals. The veggies were cooked in a thin, brothy sauce which was subtle but tasty. While not a super impressive dish, it was good as something simple and healthy which is what I was craving. I also enjoyed the plum soda, which had lots of plum pieces. Prices were a little higher than expected. The veggie dish and soda plus tip was $30. I'd kind of expected something in mid-20's just because it was mainly veggies with just a few pieces of tofu, and veggies and rice are not that expensive. Not much ambiance here, as is typical of express pho places, but the waiter was very friendly. The food came out quickly.

They take cash only! We sat on the patio and service was non-existent. I had to go in to tell the server we're ready to order. After our food came I had to go back inside to grab hot sauce off another table. The server did not check on us once and we had to go inside to ask for the bill. The place is also not very clean and their menus need to be wiped. We ordered a regular pho and a pho satay. The broth was weak and had lots of msg.

Decent pho, especially considering the area. It's also rare to see a Vietnamese restaurant with a patio. I ordered the pork and spring roll vermicelli, and it was solid. Plenty of meat, spring roll was crunchy, no complaints really. They have chili oil, you just have to ask for it. I've had the pho soup before and it's average here. Somewhat bland compared to other places. Overall a great option for a quick, cheap meal, or takeout to head to a nearby park. Note that they are cash only! No debit, no cards at all. There's a BMO ATM about 50m away. I didn't bring enough cash and had to pay a $3 ATM fee :(

Surprisingly a DECENT place for pho - extra point for opening late in the Olympic village neighborhood and is not a beer / burger joint! Opted for the special pho with the classic pho noodles (this pho is offered with either pho noodles or yellow noodles btw). The large is actually very filling, loaded with a never ending amount of noodles, all served in a piping hot bowl of soup, first sip hit the spot! Only downside is that the soup is really quite bland, the rich beefy flavour of pho doesn't come through enough to make me wanting more, same goes for the vinaigrette accompanying the salad & spring rolls, very bland in general. I personally enjoyed the spring rolls more than the salad rolls, there's something about the crumbly, crispy combo that makes it so addictive! Though most items ordered today was only average, I can see myself coming back to cure some emergency pho cravings.

Great spot and big portions! Dined in and got take out from here when indoor dining was closed. The food was good and service was kind. The wait staff gave me tea as I waited for my take out order. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

Pho Quynh Express, or as we call it, the pho joint with too many neon signs, is the perfect spot to satisfy your craving for cheap and delicious Vietnamese food. Being two minutes from our apartment, it's a frequent stop for us. As you'd expect the place is busy and the service is fast. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience, try Anh and Chi instead. This is the type of place where you're pressed right up to the bathroom door. Despite that, the food is great. The pho broth is rich and filling, the spring rolls are delightfully crunchy, and the pork Banh Mi was full of mouthwatering flavour (the chicken Banh Mi is almost, but not quite, as good). For the price, Pho Quynh Express is a great deal. I usually spend $15-20 and I leave stuffed. The reason this isn't a five star review is that there have been times that it hasn't been the cleanest and I've found a piece of plastic in my food.

The place is average with neon signs. Was more curious cause the signs say. Real Cambodian and Vietnamese food. Ordered a Bun Bo hue large and taste like every other Viet joint. Nothing about this place makes me wanna repeat. Wished they had porks blood and pork Hock in their bun Bo hue.

    For the pho

A good place to stop for some quick Vietnamese food. Pho was delicious! Appropriately spicy and served with large portions. Also enjoyed the spring rolls and fresh tea.

Some of the best pho broth ive had. Full of rich flavor. A small bowl of pho will cost you 9 CAD. Make sure you let it cool down, as they serve it piping hot. I just couldnt wait and nearly finished the whole bowl, which is a feat. If you are in the area craving some pho, stop by here. Oh, and bring cash.

Man!! The vermicelli bowls are soupy and nothow they're supposed to be. I also find the spring rolls to have a strange perfume like sent. I'm not sure what this place is trying to do but I recommend walking some extra blocks up to broadway... this place is a waste of money and calories

The sauce of shrimp roll is quite disappointing. The beef in the noodles isn't that good. However, the soup is yummy.

My coworker and I came here for lunch. It was our first time here. We were lucky to get a table for two at the moment we walked into the restaurant. That was awesome without waiting during work hours. Customer service was great. Servers were friendly and took care of all customers' needs including ours. They got our orders correctly as well. We didn't have to wait for the food for too long. It came out right away. That was awesome especially for those who needed to eat quickly and rushed back to work. I only gave 3 stars because of the food quality. We ordered #53 and #61. #53 was grilled lemongrass chicken with steamed rice. #61 was grilled pork and spring roll with vermicelli. The lemongrass chicken was fully cooked but it was soft and soaked. It did not look like it was grilled or pan fried type of meat. The grilled pork was okay. It was a little bit better than the grilled chicken. The vermicelli was very soft that was over cooked. The interesting thing was that the chef or server had already mixed the fish sauce with the vermicelli. I didn't expect that. I usually liked to mix the fish square myself because I could add the quantity that I wanted. These two dishes came with some veggies. Some sliced cucumbers were mixed with other veggies. They were chunks that did not sliced properly. We liked the spring roll though. The flavour and colour were very unique that we did not normally see this type of spring roll at other pho restaurants. Overall, the meal was quick. That's what we thought "express" means. At least we could fill our stomach quickly and go back to work as soon as possible. The pricing was reasonable especially in this neighbourhood. The restaurant was packed with tables and chairs. It was not a great experience eating here. It was not quite comfortable when we were sitting too close to other people that we did not know. We could hear their conversations.

Cali girl here *wave* I tried a bunch of different places but couldn't really say any was a favorite. I finally asked my nail tech what her favorite place was and she recommended Pho 37 and she was not wrong. Then I remembered that my nail tech will never leave me astray. I only had to try their pho once to know, THIS IS IT. Then I had to get their Bun Bo Hue, just tomake sure. The triple crown will be their Banh Mi, which I'm excited to try next but so far 5 stars all the way. Best Pho broth and the best Bun Bo Hue that I've found so far in the downtown Vancouver area. I'm sure as you fan outside of the city limits that there are just as good options but I've finally found my go to spot close to work and home after 3 months of living here. A plus plus is the huge portions but I also have to commend the meat to noodle ratio is just perfect. This is a cute little spot on Robson. Don't sleep on this one, ladies and gents. Dine in or dining out, don't forget to ask for the chilli garlic oil and garlic vinegar on the side. These condiments will level up any dish!

The only small issue was that it took a little while before someone came to take my order, and I eventually had to wave someone over. It wasn't a big deal, though, especially considering how busy they were. The portions here are huge, especially for the price. The broth was a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but it was very clean, clear, and flavorful. This is what I look for in a good bowl of pho. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had a nice soft texture. I ordered a combination bowl. My only suggestion would be a bit more of tripe and tendon. The tripe was a little sparse, and I honestly didn't realize I had tendon until I was almost finished with the bowl. But I like those, and not a lot of people do. Despite the restaurant being packed, the staff was stayed attentive, kept food coming out quickly, and did a great job taking care of everyone. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. There was a nice mix of people. Some quietly watching videos on their phones, others catching up over conversation. It felt like the kind of neighborhood spot that attracts everyone. Overall, this is a convenient, affordable place with good pho and generous portions. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely come back. .

Went in for lunch with my granddaughter, both of us fans of Vietnamese food. Ordered Green Papaya Salad ($12), Lemongrass Chicken on Vermicelli with one spring roll ($17), one lime soda ($6.50) and one pop ($3). Food arrived within minutes of ordering. Portions were very generous. The salad was perfect with everything very fresh, as it should be but often isn't in some places. Plump prawns and the scent and taste of basil was prominent. Delicious! The lemongrass chicken (we ordered extra chicken) with a spring roll was also very generous. We did not finish it between the two of us. Again, all was fresh, tasty and hot. This is one of our standard orders and Pho Goodness did not disappoint. Granddaughter declared it better than at our regular favourite, and Pho Goodness is around the corner from her home and not a bus ride out to Kingsway! Service was friendly and responsive. We asked that the volume be turned off on the massive TV over our heads (which nobody was watching) (it was), requested a glass for the pop and immediately received a tumbler full of ice. Lovely. We have found a new favourite on Davie Street, a true foodie heaven with a collection of independent restaurants of many ethnicities available. We will return to Pho Goodness when the urge for Vietnamese food strikes again.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner one evening and each ordered the aforementioned noodle soup--she got a small ($11.75 plus tax) and I got a regular ($12.75 plus tax). We also got an order of salad rolls ($7.50 plus tax), which comes with 2 rolls. The rolls came quite late. They were pretty standard, coming with fried tofu, vermicelli, and lettuce. The peanut dipping sauce was on the liquidy, salty soy sauce side of things -- I wish it were creamier and less salty. 3/5 The soups were decent. The broth was peppery, with some nice, gentle spices detectable in there. I asked for a side of chili oil, which helped amplify the broth. You get a generous portion of noodles, fried tofu, and vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrot). Unfortunately the veggies were quite overcooked -- the broccoli was almost soggy, so were the carrots and bok choy. 3/5 All in all, middle-of-the-road veggie pho. The broth is pleasant. The veggies were overcooked, but plentiful and nicely chosen. Decent place for veggie pho.
