Bun Bo hue

Typically I order out from this place and when I do, the food is quality. This time I decided to dine in. Ambiance is average. It's definitely not loud here. The workers were polite and tend to sit at a table themselves when not working. However, they're very attentive and knew when we wanted boxes. The food was great! I got the bun Bo hue and as a Vietnamese woman, I can proudly say the broth was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Would 100% order again. When the vermicelli came out, the cha gio was hot and crispy. It had a perfect crunch without being burnt. The summer rolls were refreshing and the outer layer was moist. Very easy to chew through. Although the food was admittedly delicious, I would only go here if I was truly craving Vietnamese food. Otherwise, it is pretty pricy. Tip: go up front to pay! Consider adding the chili oil to the peanut sauce if you love your food a bit spicy

Amazing food and huge portions! The thai tea is so yummy! If you get a soda, it comes in a can and they will give you a cup with ice. The staff were very nice and food came out quick! We will definently be back!

I usually make the trip all the way to Columbia for pho (it's pronounced "fuh," for those who don't know), but this time, I decided to try Pho Saigon Hanoi with my daughter--and I'm so glad I did! The restaurant has a welcoming and cozy vibe with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. For appetizers, we ordered the summer rolls and grilled pork, both of which were fresh and flavorful. For our main course, we both had pho with chicken and chicken broth, and I decided to add shrimp to mine. The broth was rich and perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp was a delightful addition. What really stood out to me was the peaceful environment. It was quiet and relaxing, with lovely scenes of various Vietnamese restaurants displayed and the walls and flat screen, adding to the authenticity of the experience. If you're a pho lover looking for a great local spot, Pho Saigon Hanoi is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back for sure!

The pho here is not too bad, but the noodles did come in a somewhat unappetizing block when it was served. It also took a while, which was not expected for a Pho place that wasn't too packed. Otherwise, it was alright overall. Inside, there's a good amount of seating and not too loud.

This place used to be the best pho in Balitmore (city and county) in my opinion but the last time I went they were out of Thai basil, and I was less than impressed. The pho meats I chose were too tough and didn't feel fresh, and I also think the order for two spring rolls was too expensive. The staff is pretty slow but friendly. I had to go up to ask for the check. It's a quiet restaurant - to be fair I've only ever gone off hours on random cravings. I will give it another go next time I'm in the area- but was pretty disappointed.

Happy to find this place while traveling. Good broth, fast and friendly service. I will definitely come back if I have a chance. The pork egg rolls were very good. Very casual atmosphere- good choice!

Visiting here was my first time having pho. So I do not have anything to compare this to, but I find the food very flavorful. The broth is perfectly fine on its own. It doesn't need much of anything added. But adding all the accoutrements takes it to the next level. The service is always fast. You are greeted as soon as you walk in and get to take your own seat. It's a very chill place.

TL;DR : This local family-owned business sets the standard of how Vietnamese cuisine should showcased. I would HIGHLY recommend their Pho, spring rolls, and any of their BBQ to the point of necessity. Though I typically focus on the food, I believe others, and myself included, will come to appreciate the home-cooked atmosphere and warmth that the family serves alongside their food. It's always a special treat when your expectations are blown out of the water. Pho Saigon Hanoi effortlessly sets the bar for Vietnamese food and leads with it. Being in such a inconspicuous location and how the restaurant is laid out, you would anticipate that this place is your run of the mill family-run pho restaurant - however, that is far from the truth. As one who judges a Vietnamese restaurant primarily on their broth, Pho Saigon Hanoi's dishes leave me crawling back for more. I tried their combination Pho, spring rolls, and barbecue beef dishes. Though many have come to take Pho for granted, I have to iterate that it is a labor of love to perfect such broth that this restaurant has produced. To say that their pho broth is anything less than perfect would be an understatement. Each spoonful strikes with umami flavor and flows with delicate flavor effortlessly. The pho paired with their generous toppings of fresh rice noodles, meat, and vegetables come out to an excellent meal priced generously low to the point where it feels like robbery. I am begging you to try this place. The fried pork spring rolls paired with their fish-oil based dipping sauce could very well be an official aphrodisiac to the future dishes. It's role as an appetizer works too well that it's criminal to not try. The spring rolls' crisp and crunch when sinking your teeth into it is followed by a packed mix of pork and assorted vegetables. Bring some friends and try them out, you may very well need to order more as you'll find they are hard to stop eating. Their barbecue beef is what surprised me the most. It may be due to my former experiences, but I have had tough, and overly sweet barbecue - that may be what some may prefer and more power to them. But here, their barbecue beef maximized their marinade without making it overpowering and was grilled to the fine line of tenderness and toughness. That sweet spot of cooking captured my surprise. In all, please give this place a shot. Not only are they serving the best Vietnamese food in my personal opinion, the family running the restaurant are all hard-working and do their best to ensure their customers are having the best experience with their food.

I decided to hit up this place on a chilly fall night. Definitely the best Pho that I have had. The broth is amazing without adding anything. The portion size is perfect.

Egg Rolls, Viet Iced Coffee, and Bun Bo Hue

Pho Saigon Hanoi was a pleasant surprise ! I've been looking for a true, Viet restaurant in the area for quite a while and didn't have much success... but Pho Saigon Hanoi has completely changed that! The restaurant is situated in a strip mall, next to a Weis Supermarket. The inside is pretty large, but doesn't seem like it from the parking lot. The tables are widely spaced out and the decor is minimal. I sat in the corner by the window so I could get a good look at everything. Menus were already on the table, but I already had a good idea of what I wanted to order. I got the egg rolls, bun bo hue, and cafe sua du. Everything came out quickly and steaming hot. Egg rolls were quite good, but I think the fish sauce for dipping was too watered down for it. Cafe sua da was also good and stronggg! I prefer it with less condensed milk, but once the ice melted a little, it wasn't as sweet. The Bun bo hue was HUGE; I wasn't expecting the portions to be like that. The soup was quite good. The lemongrass really shined through. It's not my favorite BBH I've ever had, but still very tasty and worth the price. Customer service was attentive and everyone was super friendly. Can't wait to go back soon!

I'm always on a search for delicious pho! This place is off of 695 and on the way to my dog's trainer/boarder so stopped by after dropping the dog off to check it out. Upon entering, the restaurant is spacious and we were directed to choose any table. The staff came by with water and took our order. My husband and I both ordered a pho and fried egg rolls to share. The food came out fast. The egg rolls were not as filled as I would like and over fried. I ordered the B2 (pho with eye round steak). The soup was clean and flavorful and the beef was nice and tender, but the noodles were overcooked so stuck together and fell apart pretty easily. There is only one size of pho also and was pricier than I would have expected. You pay at the counter. Probably wouldn't come back unless I was in the area and seriously craving some pho.

This restaurant replaced our previous favorite Viet restaurant so we were chagrined about that but the changes aren't all bad. The hours of this restaurant are better (daily from 10 to 9), whereas the previous place wasn't open on Sundays or past 7 pm. The Vietnamese coffee was authentic, which made us happy. There were other Vietnamese people eating there, which is always a sign of authenticity. The pho comes in a single size but is a decent portion, good amount of meat and good flavor. I just wish they had banh mi on their menu like the old place. Overall, very good and we will be back. We enjoyed their pho. One portion size only, decent amount of meat and good flavor. I was sad that their menu didn't offer banh mis like the old place

This place is seriously underrated. We almost let the Yelp reviews scare us away, but I'm glad we…read moregave it a chance. The iced coffee was amazing, the beef pho had a rich flavorful broth, and the hu tieu was excellent too. The customer service was actually great -- the owners are older Vietnamese people and you can tell it's a small family-run restaurant. They're not rude at all, just older and probably handling a lot themselves. I think some people mistake that for bad service when it's really just a more traditional environment. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food made with care, this spot is definitely worth trying.

Some Context: As someone who's of Vietnamese descent and…read morelives in Southern California (home to the most Vietnamese outside of Vietnam), I have had some of the best pho in North America. I knew going in that having pho anywhere else would probably be disappointing, but I always hope for a pleasant surprise. The Food: I can only comment on what I ordered: pho dac biet (special combo pho with rare steak slices, well-done brisket, flank tendon, and and tripe). Taste wise it was ... alright. The noodles were standard, the meats were good, and the tendon was delicious. The problem was that the broth was kinda bland, lacking the delicate mix of herbs and seasonings that a good bowl of pho should have. And anyone who enjoys noodle soups knows that if the broth doesn't cut it, the whole meal suffers. Don't get me wrong, the other pho ingredients were quality, but the bland broth was a let down. The Cost: The bigger letdown were the prices, which had me saying, "What the pho?!" My combo bowl was $27. That would be an outrageous price for pho in Southern California (where prices have skyrocketed), so you could imagine my "sticker shock." And the costs for the other entrees ranged from $14 to $20. While the portions were large, I'm not sure the quality justified the price. The Drink: I had a caphe sua da (or Vietnamese iced coffee) and was, again, not impressed. It tasted like it came from either a concentrate or instant coffee instead of being made in a phin, a type of slow-drip metal filter, before the condensed milk was added. Again, not a bad coffee, but the price didn't justify the average taste. The Service: The two employees were fast and friendly. They didn't check on us at all after delivering the food (standard operating procedure for most Asian restaurants), but the fact that they were polite and seemed like they cared is a big plus for a Vietnamese establishment. The Atmosphere: The restaurant was clean, spacious, and modern. Meanwhile, the bathroom was shockingly decent and well stocked. Again, two aspects that were a pleasant surprise for a Vietnamese restaurant. The Conclusion: If you're new to pho and want to be impressed, don't go here. If you're familiar with pho, need a quick fix, and don't mind paying a premium, this place will do.
