Our order consisted of a quart of wonton soup, two special combination plates consisting of sesame chicken with fried rice and a shrimp egg roll and beef with broccoli with white rice and a shrimp egg roll. The wonton soup was hot, loaded with wontons in a tasty broth. My son enjoyed the beef with broccoli. What was disappointing this time was the sesame chicken that my husband ordered. This is his favorite meal here, and this time it missed its mark completely. The chicken was tough as if it had been cooked before and reheated in a microwave. For something different, we ordered Chinese food for the 4th of July. We ordered the All Day Special Combination Plates that came with Fried Rice and a Pork Egg Roll. My wife had her favorite of Shrimp with mixed vegetables, our grandson had Kung Pao Chicken with Peanuts, and I had Sesame Chicken. Winli never disappoints. Ever since my go-to Chinese place closed in Timonium, I'm looking for the next best thing! I was in the area for the MVA and decided to check Winli out for takeout since they have great reviews. I ordered via phone and got a Kung Lao chicken combo, small beef lo mein, hot and sour soup, and pork fried dumplings! Food was ready pretty quickly. I had a 20 min drive home and had to do a few things before eating when I got home and the food was still really hot. It was all delicious and portions were big! I had enough for 3 meals in my order. How good does a Chinese spot need to be for some Baltimore city folks to drive alllll the way out to Parkville to pick up one of the meals that is usually best enjoyed when delivered? It needs to be Winli good baybeee. You really can't go wrong here. General Tsos with white meat is a go to. We also love their Mongolian Beef. I've also tried the Honey Chicken, but prefer the Generals to it. Their red curry dish is good as well. What I'm trying to say here is...you can't go wrong! read more

I'm visiting a friend, but I wish I had a Chinese restaurant THIS DELICIOUS near my house. The recipes are great with delicious flavor. An easy parking lot was just a few minutes from home and they said it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there, they were working excitedly in the kitchen and just finishing my entrees. This little hole-in-the-wall Chinese take-away in a sleepy little strip mall in Parkville, MD has changed my whole mind about Chinese food. After years of eating Chinese food only infrequently because it was overly salty, oily, usually with over-cooked vegetables with meat that had lots of fat, I've found an oasis at Winli! So far, the Szechuan shrimp, pepper steak, Hunan shrimp meals have been stellar. You can actually taste the individual ingredients; fresh mushrooms, onions and carrots, the vegetables, like the delicate broccoli and zucchini are cooked al dente, and the sauce is not overly greasy or salty. The beef has been tender and lean, the medium to large-sized shrimp have been cooked to perfection. The white rice is actually very fluffy and flavorful! The fried rice is not overly salty, but also fluffy and rich in vegetable and pork flavors. The fried eggrolls are amazingly not oily, perfectly crispy, and packed with cabbage and bean spouts-I could make a meal out of these alone! The staff are polite and friendly. The restaurant waiting area is extremely spartan and clean. Heck, I even think the fortune cookies are better here! We'll definitely look forward to coming back to try other meals! read more

Therefore, I took to Yelp to see what my fellow Yelpers had to say about places in the area. You all did not disappoint with Winli, so I thank you! This will be my new favorite place. So, when it comes to Asian food I can be a bit "boujie." All Asian food is not the same and I feel like I can't eat it from every Asian restaurant, even when getting something basic-I've had restaurants do rice wrong in the past. Nonetheless, Winli is FAR from that. The food here is amazing. I ordered the small vegetable lo mein and small shrimp fried rice. The vegetable lo mein had nice size portions of fresh cut veggies and was a great deal of lo mein, could be considered a medium portion in other carryouts. The shrimp fried rice had huge pieces of shrimp in such a small box, I was quite surprised. These weren't the salad shrimp other restaurants try to throw in their fried rice. These were large sized shrimp and a plentiful amount. The food here was so fresh, not heavy, and hot. Winli is a carryout. You cannot eat in but they are SUPER clean! The price to portion and taste ratio is no match. Since the prices are decent yet the quality of food is beyond "carryout" status. This should be a restaurant. One thing I can really appreciate about Winli is they have all day specials, not just lunch specials. Another thing I love is that they allow you to get your own packets of soy sauce, duck sauce, hot sauce, and hot mustard. This has become a go to Chinese spot for me. The food is fresh and consistent. I order the drunken noodles on a whim and was in love!! Mind you I don't typically like a lot of spice. The shrimp and broccoli is my normal from here and the lunch specials are perfectly sized. I'm here to pour on the love for WinLi! I am still eating at the moment, but it was fantastic. First off, call because their online ordering happening. Second, their social distancing skills are perfect. There's plexiglass between the counter and you and the woman working there even reminded me to step back as she approached to put the bags on the counter. Third, and most importantly, the food is FANTASTIC! Fresh, delicious, flavored perfectly.. we got some Chinese and some Thai, and all palates were sated. When we crave these meals, we often choose Winli Asian Restaurant because the food is always cooked fresh and tastes pretty good. Finally after a long and arduous hunt, I found somewhere nearby that does Eggplant with Garlic Sauce, my favorite Chinese dish!!! And it's really good, plus very reasonably priced! I also tried the Pad Thai, and thought it was quite good, plus there was lots of chicken in it. The only miss for me were the spring rolls, which were a bit pale/underfried- would have liked them crispier. The menu is not huge, but the food is priced well and really good. Wish they had Pad See Ew and more Thai dishes on the menu. This will probably be my new go-to! read more

Winli easily has one of the best General Tso's Chicken dishes in the area. I have had it may times and every time it has been very consistent with each just as good as the last! I am looking forward to trying their other chicken dishes in the near future. As a note, they also have very good white rice (I'm not a fan of fried rice). If you are looking for a new place in the area to try, I would strongly suggest you try Winli. You will not be disappointed! We ordered General Tso chicken, crispy honey chicken, crab rangoons, and hot & sour soup. Food was ready quickly, was still piping hot when we got home (15 min drive), and everything was delicious!!! Hot & sour soup had an awesome flavor and I couldn't stop eating it. Crispy honey chicken was so good and I would definitely get that again. The fortune cookies were chocolate and vanilla flavored, I think? They were really good. The lady at the counter gave us a couple cans of soda on the house too.
