Had high hopes for this place, since the reviews looked strong... sadly disappointed after walking in. Since we were driving through and wanted pho, this was the only one that popped up on the map. We walked in and there two young ladies working and 2 little kids under 10 running around. They were jumping on the counters and all around the restaurant. They have no small, only kids size and large. Got our food and was disappointed in the taste. It was nothing like pho should taste, no cinnamon, coriander, star anise... it was like eating Chicken broth with noodles and the beef was already cooked through when I got the soup. They never came back to the table, and I never felt welcomed, more like they were irritated we were there. Great food and great portions. At Pho restaurants I normally get fresh spring rolls and pho, but the grilled quail caught my eye. Definitely worth it. Spring rolls where huge in comparison to other places. The Combo pho had so much tendons and tripe, I loved it. Other places normally short you on that, but I was pleased on the portions. We were thinking of eating here but there seemed like more people than we were comfortable with, so we decided to take-out our food. We ordered 3 pho, 1 bun, and 2 rolls. Then the lady taking our order said it would take a while longer since there were several orders before us. I said it wouldn't be a problem. I didn't realize it would take 40 minutes though. While waiting I noticed the signs that said they were short-staffed and our patience was appreciated. The staff wore face masks, so that was comforting. Also noticed they close at 8pm which seems kind if early to me, but then again I guess things are a bit slower around here. Maybe a third or quarter of the tables were occupied on a Saturday night. When we got back to the hotel, we were all quite surprised how delicious the food was. I can't think of a single thing to complain about regarding the food. They even provided extra styrofoam bowls for us to eat from. If there is anything I'd complain about, it's with the cleanliness of the restaurant. It had sticky floors through out the restaurant and bathroom. Did I mention the 40-min wait because they were short staffed? While it was hard to see behind the mask, the lady did seem tired. Best Vietnamese food I've had in a while! I'm from the coast (Biloxi area) where there's a huge Vietnamese population, and even their food isn't as good. My only complaint is that they don't have Bun Bo Hue and Banh Mi, and their prices are a little high. Their rice dish with the ribs are my absolute favorite thing to order. read more

Military Discount! Yes! If I were a student at Southern Miss I would come across the street once a week and get a large to-go pho and eat off of it A couple days and while studying. I did not care for the A3 goi Cuon, it lacked any flavor including the dipping sauce. Do you see the shrimp in it? Previous pictures demonstrate three whole shrimp now they take one shrimp slice it in half the long way and lay it the long way down the spring roll. It's worth doing it well. Excellent service! Got the spring rolls, vermicelli bowl and pho (with tendon & tripe offerings, which sometimes are a bit too exotic of a delicacy for some tastes, but I'm happy to see it on the menu bc it speaks to the authenticity sometimes). Everything was good. Service was friendly, but slow and could be more attentive. Two sets of chopsticks for 4 ppl, and couldn't get anyone's attention to ask for another, empty water glasses when my friend was regretting the amount of cock sauce she used to spice up her pho, a bill that came with a pen, but the card hadn't been run, so we sat there for a while waiting for the server to notice. I did notice the owner, who was making the food, was wearing gloves, so that was a pleasant observation. Everything was fresh and delicious and I would definitely return when I go visit my sister again. It's in a strip mall, as most of Hattiesburg seems to be, so plenty of parking. In Mississippi for work, there was an overwhelming crave for Asian food. (Disclosure: haven't eaten much Asian food since the move from California to Texas). So I saw this review, was close by, and had to check it out. Houston has really good Vietnamese food; some places might be better than the ones in California. Just saying.... Placed was empty. Had 2 customers. Looked over the menu. Didn't like what I saw. BUT I didn't want to drive to another place. So I ordered the beef rice plate. When I got my order, the beef was HELLA small. They were burnt, over cooked, and small. Terrible food. I didn't want to send them back, because when food is sent back more than likely it comes back with split on it. A friend told me about this place. It's right across from USM where Petra Cafe used to be. The Pho was delicious with lots of basil, bean sprouts, jalapeño peppers and limes.
