From California near Westminster where largest Vietnamese population and rich in Vietnamese culture I have been nothing but spoiled with Vietnamese food- growing up my aunt who is Vietnamese always welcomed our family with hot bowl of pho with egg roll. Always venturing for good pho, the nearest best place for pho was in VA (Eden Center in Falls Church). That being said it was challenging finding traditional pho in the triangle since I came here in the triangle. Needless to say, I found Pho Thien Phat, which came from the VA. I have to say I'm glad I found Pho Thien Phat. This is the only Vietnamese restraint I do feel they are not scared to use real traditional ingredients. Pho broth is clean but it is rich with aroma and flavor. First place I've found using tripes as optional pho meat topping and use banana flower for bun no hue. I have been coming here since then than anywhere else. Their grilled port bun mi and pork spring roll is exceptional. Pork marinate contains full of flavor of savory sweet and salty that compliments other ingredients. Venue is pretty large and can accommodate good amount of customers. Service is hit or miss (mostly good service) but also depends on number of servers available that day. The only wish I have for this place is offer pickles, vermicelli, lettuce for egg roll. Hoping they will offer blood sausage for bun bo hue. Noodle portion is good especially the meat! read more

Authentic Vietnamese food that has that homemade touch! Really enjoyed this restaurant and found the broth to be made well as shown by how many bones they use for their bone marrow dishes. Order the side of bone marrow and go to town. Use your hands and naw on that bone, I promised that is how u are supposed to eat it. Ambiance: 4/5 Nothing fancy, plenty of seating Service: 4.5/5 Service was quick, friendly and food came out quickly. Food 5/5: When we both took one sip of that broth, we knew we had finally found the pho spot! The broth was deep in flavor and perfectly seasoned- not slightly watery like many pho spots. I think this might be the best pho in the Triangle. I've tried many places, and have yet to find a spot that beats it in quality and quantity of meat. While I will note that in recent trips, there have been a few hiccups (lemon slices instead of limes, and smaller portions), it's hard to complain when a truly good bowl of pho seems to be quite hard to come by. Furthermore, there aren't a lot of places that are unashamed to let their food speak louder than its marketability to the local palate. You can't order bone marrow that comes out as the entire knee joint of a cow anywhere else - and while it might scare the locals away, it's delicious. I've said this in many a review, but I love an unpretentious spot that lets their food speak for itself. You won't be attracted by the scenery or the decor, but you'll be too busy with your face in a bowl to care. read more

They were able to accommodate a big family who are visiting for the holidays. We stopped in since they were close by the Chinese latern festival. The food was ok, broth wasn't hot (temperature wise) which was eehh. Broth didn't have much flavor, there's other pho places who are much better. We ordered 10 pho bowls and they came out with 2 small plates of bean sprouts, jalapeños and mint, like those 2 plates will only help 2 ppl. So I questioned them and they threw a fit and asked if 1 it was 1 bean sprout a person. So finally they came out with 2 more plates....ridiculous in customer service apparently. Finally got try this place and my husband and I are so glad we did! We were seated quickly by a sweet lady - she was happy to talk about the menu and answer questions. The pho is delicious and smelled amazing. My husband ordered a side of short ribs, and it came with more broth. This was a great second meal for leftovers. The com thit nuong was super flavorful! I loved the marinade and the grill on the pork, and adding the side of the fried egg is always a good idea. The pork and shrimp spring rolls were so good dumped into the peanut sauce! Pho Thien Phat is my go to pho spot in Raleigh! The team is friendly and always super attentive. The food is also so good! I've had the bun rieu (pictured), bun bo hue, hieu thieu bo kho, and a couple pho varieties. Their fresh spring rolls are decent and the fried ones are delicious. I haven't tried their boba but I've had the three colors drink and it was really good. The noise level is perfect to give you a warm and comforting atmosphere while you chow down. Come with the standards veggies! The bone marrow were huge!! Eat it while it is hot! I didn't and the marrow weren't good. They are based from Va and have 2 other restaurants there! A new pho place opened so I knew I had to try it. We came in during lunchtime and there was ample seating, so we got seated immediately and were helped quickly. My biggest takeaway from our order was that the broth was great, but the toppings were lacking. The portions of the meat were just a lot smaller than what I am used to in this price range; it was more like a sampler. But otherwise, the broth and noodles were great. The staff seemed to be getting used to everything so a lot of mistakes were happening, but that happens with every new restaurant. I'm sure with more time they will get the hang of things, but in the meantime be patient and double-check your receipt before paying! I want to give this restaurant more stars, but the food portion was a lot smaller than I'm used to. I felt like I didn't get nearly as much noodles or protein that would be proportionate to the cost, it was a lot more of broth than anything else. I thought that for the price I paid it was probably a little bit too expensive. It was a nice cute restaurant and there was comfortable seating and enough space between customers. Finally another awesome and probably the best pho spot in the area as of right now... yes even better than Midtown , Far East, and ox tail.... 1st off you know it's legit when you order bun bun bo hue and they give you the correct dish of veggies that go with it and a side of shrimp paste for flavor boost ... Second they have legit egg soda on the menu which is hard to find in the area.. Third they have pork hocks in their bun bo hue... only thing missing is blood cakes. But other than that.. place is spacious and clean ... service is awesome and so are the owners... they use real fruit in their smoothies which is bonus points... Bún bò Huế: lots of meat + hock, they give shredded banana leaf!!! That is the biggest pro because almost no where does that. Broth could be more flavorful in spices as he felt it was maybe too meaty in flavor and not enough spices. Not the best that we've tried in the area. Pho tai + bo vein: really good broth. But the steak pieces and beef meatballs were so so. I didn't take a picture because the bowl looked really empty since they give you so much soup but so little food pieces. But the plus side is that we took home the remaining soup and had a second pho with home noodles! They could also give more herbs because we only got 6 basil leaves total, but understandable as I imagine not everyone uses these and they don't want it to go to waste. We also got their chrysanthemum tea which was okay, it was not too sweet, and salted plum limeade which was okay. It didn't have the strong salted plum flavor that is characteristic of the drink and was rather meh. I would skip these two unless their batch of salted plum needs more time to ferment or something. read more

I will jump at any chance to try a new Vietnamese restaurant, so of course my husband and I found ourselves here. We were served a steaming bowl of pho and bun bo hue alongside a heaping plate of bone marrow. The restaurant was absolutely packed but I thought they handled it pretty well, especially considering how new they are. We waited maybe five minutes for a table and the food took a little time to come out but nothing extreme. The pho (I got the first one on the menu) comes in either small or large size. I got the large but was actually underwhelmed with the portion size. It was mostly just a huge serving of broth. The portion of noodles and meat was not what on par with what I consider "large" or even proportionate to the volume of broth. The flavor was good though, albeit a bit on the sweet side. Not my favorite pho in the area but a good enough option. The bun bo hue though was fantastic. It was a good portion size, adequate ratio of meat to noodles to broth. It is really hard to find a good BBH here, most of the restaurants in this area do a poor job. The broth here actually had authentic flavors and is probably the best BBH in the Cary area. The bone marrow looks massive but is a good size to serve 2-3 people. You need a knife and fork to cut away at it though as it's not tender enough to fall off the bone and the connective tissue requires some work. I am 50/50 on whether I would order this again. I would return for the BBH for sure. I need to try some of the other dishes such as the vermicelli and rice dishes or Banh hoi so I will be back! read more

If you prefer a more beefy broth, this is the place for you. However, I wish the servers were kinder. They were quite unfriendly in my opinion.
