Met up with some friends for some Friday night fun and we decided to go to Pho Time for dinner beforehand. We been here before several times and always was a safe bet. I always thought the Pho was one of the best I had in the GTA and it's always an easy pick to come here. We started with the salt and pepper squid and beef satay to start. I liked the squid although I thought it was over battered and a tad oily, but the squid was nicely cooked inside. The beef skewers were nicely seasoned and had a nice kick to them. Although it they didn't come with a dipping sauce that we thought a satay would. I ordered my go to Flank Pho. To be honest I was a little disappointed as it wasn't as flavourful as previous times. The menu looked different which usually means there's was s a change in ownership. Hopefully it was a one off. 3.5*
It has been a while since my last review on Pho Time although we visited this venue often. Today we tried the satay raw beef soup pho, pork chop & egg rice and shrimp rolls; in addition this was my first time to try their Vietnamese dripped coffee. Foods are always good here, but the coffee is a bit pricey and not that aromatic, I've had better Vietnamese coffee elsewhere. Service is always prompt and good, everybody is welcoming. This is one of the best Vietnamese eateries in the neighbourhood and we'll always go back.
Came again recently and service was still very good. Staff were attentive and quick. The pho portions are great for the price point and we really enjoyed their house wings! Can't wait to come back and try other appetisers and main dishes!
My whole crew came by on a sat evening after badminton to grab some grub as we had been scrolling through yelp and saw that this place had a pretty high rating. It's located right next to the TnT supermarket at Woodbine and 16th and there's a ton of parking in the lot. For the most part, the appetizers were pretty good! The shrimp fresh rolls were not however. The sauce was too watery and didn't have the right consistency (it should be thick) or flavour profile (should be way more peanut-based than hoisin-based). Aside from the peanuts sprinkled on top, the dipping sauce had barely any essence of peanut in it which made the sauce lacking. The rolls themselves were heavily filled w/ vermicelli and lettuce to the point of it being too much. I know they're supposed to butterfly the shrimps but we got maybe 1-2 shrimps per fresh roll which was DEFINITELY STINGY in my honest opinion. Skip the fresh rolls altogether. The wrap and roll platter looked amazing. I think it's a showstopper when it arrives at the table. The cookery on the meat is also excellent. Noodle soups all tasted pretty good. The caveat was the portioning. While my friends' bowls all had an ample amount of sliced beef, I myself had ordered a curry brisket pho and it was NOT worth it at all. They gave me 3 pieces of brisket, 2 ultra-chewy tendons and the rest of the bowl was noodles (all while charging $17!). Extremely, extremely stingy on the portion of meat. The curry broth was really good but I felt jilted that my friend's got so much more food than me. Lesson learned. If I ever come back I'm not ordering any noodle soup outside of P1 - P7 as they're all a bunch of ripoffs. Coconut smoothie and tri colour dessert were good. Not too sweet but very refreshing. Mixed feelings about this place. The pho is not bad at all but is the value there? I think I still prefer, Pho Anh Vu, Dear Saigon, Pho Tai Bac or Pho Le. Don't think I'd return on my own.
I've been to Pho Time multiple times but I think I found my favourite dish! Ordered the tom yum seafood pho and it was full of flavour and toppings! It was a bit spicy but to my liking. It's always so packed so if you are planning to go around 12pm or 7pm on Fri-Sun, there will definitely be a wait. They take cash or debit only.
Loved the space, loved the food! It was my first time visiting Pho Time this weekend and it's left quite a good impression. I'm no expert on Viet food at all, but this is some of the tastiest Viet food I've had in Markham. We tried the rice with grilled chicken, several bowls of Pho, and spring rolls. The rice and chicken was super delicious! Chicken was fresh and grilled to perfection. The Pho warmed my soul. I got the Beef Flank Pho in regular size and was surprised by the generous portion sizes. They gave a very healthy amount of beef for this economy! On top of all of that, Pho Time is a very comfortable restaurant to sit in. It's spacious, it has wide booths, and we were able to bring a baby stroller in without bumping into tables and blocking paths. Don't forget to bring cash or debit, as they don't accept credit. Definitely would come back and recommend!
This is a good Pho place at 16th & Woodbine Ave. The food is very flavorful. I like the steamed rice flour rolls and the spring rolls a lot. Pho bowls come in big portions. Pretty tasty. Enjoyable dinner. Will definitely come back again!
Found Pho Time on a whim and glad we did! Make your own rolls platter: Our daughter picked the Banh Hoi platter, and it was a first time for us, so we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation. The rice paper wrappers come in a half circle container with warm water to soften the wrapper. I appreciated that the meats were cut in long strips, so they stayed in the wrapper easily even though I didn't wrap them tight enough, very user friendly. Pho: The grilled chicken was served separately from the pho. The chicken was flavourful and moist, delicious! Service and space: The restaurant was large and spacious. The servers were very attentive and polite. My husband had come in and left a couple times prior to ordering, and the staff didn't bother us as they could see I was struggling with a rowdy preschooler. Right when I said we would order soon to my daughter, someone was already at our table to take our order! The food also came out really fast! I was impressed! The cutlery stand on our table was out of spoons for the pho, but as we arrived at non-peak eating times, and most likely the staff break time, that was not a big concern for us. My husband took a spoon from another vacant table. The restaurant was not busy with only about 5 or 6 tables as it was mid-afternoon, but the workers still worked hard and work fast, which is typical of good Asian restaurants. I enjoyed our visit!
I have always done takeout at this restaurant so decided for the first time to dine in. On entry, we were quickly taken care of. The staff was attentive and friendly. The place was larger than expected. We ordered our usual beef with noodles and spring roll. The serving size was reasonable. The taste was good. Could have had a little more grilled flavour but still good. There was a guy who even went around and checked on the dining experience of the patrons which was unusual in a Vietnamese restaurant. Clean.
Awww yaaaa, delicious! Loads of ingredients and a nice straight forward menu. They were sold out of the fresh noodles when we went, but it was still delicious! Soup base is flavorful. I find that Vietnamese spring rolls are a hit and miss, this one is actually pretty good! The strawberry shake is also super yummy! For a Vietnamese restaurant, we love that this place is clean. Including the washrooms.
My other half had a craving for pho and after a quick search on Yelp Pho Time caught our eye with its decor. Pho time is located in a plaza on Woodbine and 16th on the north east corner close to T and T. We arrived on a Sunday around 11:50 am and were lucky as two tables were just leaving so we got a booth for a party or 3 including a 16 month old. The booth seating was quite spacious and two adults plus a high chair seat could fit across on bench albeit a bit squeezed, it's possible. We were seated and service was quick to get us tea. A quick walk through on the menu we ordered and the food came out nearly instantly. I got the large pho special with everything, and though the price was no different then other places nearby things certainly have gotten pricey ($18 for a bowl of large pho). My other half gotba vermecelli bowl and everything proportionally was well sized, appealing and tasty. So though it's pricey it was pretty decent over all experience. The server taking our order also asked us how many bowls we needed to include our little one. Service was fast and friendly. If my untrained ear is correct I heard a mix of Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese amongst the servers. Overall this place is family friendly though be careful as it seemed that there was a regular build up of lines every hour as people came and left. So just plan ahead, but it was definitely enjoyable
Had P3 - Rare Beef and Beef Flank Pho - Very good. Based on the good reviews on Yelp, we decided to try this place today. Arrived around noon on Saturday. We expected that there would be a line up given the popularity and that it was Saturday - but the place was not busy at all, and we were immediately seated. Good thing but then a little bit of anxiety hit me - "is this one of those places that had initial popularity without quality and people don't come back?" I countered this assumption with another assumption "this must be because of the location!" Pho Time is in a small plaza in a residential area a bit north away from the food competitive Markham-Richmond Hill border. In short, the pho was great. We ordered #P3 Pho with Rare Beef and Frank. I ordered it with fresh noodles, and asked for the rare beef on the side. (I like the rare beef to be rare). My partner had the same #P3 but with dried noodle. We both enjoyed the well prepared Flank beef (perfectly done, melty tender) and the broth. The broth hit the perfect balance. Smooth, clear, not too salty, not too sweet, well rounded with deep layers of flavor. I am glad that I asked for the rare beef on the side. It was generous amount and fresh. My fresh noodles were softer, butterly, flatter and springier than dried ones. My partner's dried noodles were thinner and chewier than the fresh ones. The both were well integrated with the soup! One disappointment was the bean sprouts that came as a topping. It was served warm, not fresh. Not bad but I prefered fresh ones. By the time we left, I noticed the place was almost full. We will come back again!
Horrible. It's my second visit and I'm never coming back. I ordered Pad Thai chicken. I should have known it's a trap to have Thai food in a Vietnamese restaurant. But it's on the menu... I regretted it as soon as it's served on my table. It looked red as if they put a lot of ketchup in it. It tasted nothing like the Pad Thai I've had before. This Pad Thai was more on the sweet side, like overly sweet and NO acidity whatsoever. Just a small wedge of lime does NOT help at all. The stars are for service and clean washroom. All of the servers were very friendly and prompt on the day I visited.
A group of 7 of us came for dinner. We ordered: Chicken Pho Chicken satay Grilled Beef & Spring Roll On Vermicelli Grilled Beef & Meat Balls On Vermicelli Rare Beef & Tripe Pho Fried rice with chicken and salty fish Thai veggie spring rolls Pork bahn mi I had the beef with spring roll on vermicelli. It was good but I was hoping it was short ribs. I also liked the fried rice but my kids didn't like it because the fish taste was strong. The chicken satay was disappointing but overall everyone enjoyed their meals. Bring cash or debit card! read more
Ordered the T24 House Appetizer, the combo with assorted appetizers. It came with a viet spring roll, 3 veggie spring rolls, meatballs, shrimp wrapped sugarcane, and satay chicken skewers. First off everything was not bad but I found it to be just average tasting nothing blew me away. I must note that the satay chicken skewers were way too spicy, to the point where it was literally inedible. It's not a bad location. Inside the T&T plaza at woodbine and 16th. Not sure if I'll be back to try the pho as it doesn't look overwhelming judging by this appetizer platter. It's a shame, I really love pho and wanted to love this place. But, there are many Vietnamese restaurants around and I don't think this one will be in my rotation. Sorry folks, my recommendation is try Pho Anh Vu or Ngon Corner which are nearby. read more
Found another Pho place somewhat close to home! Photime is located in the same plaza where the T&T supermarket is at the Northeast corner of Woodbine and 16th & is next to the aquarium store. The restaurant is well-lit, clean, spacious & modern looking. Parking in this plaza is relatively easy since the lot is huge! We went on Christmas Eve around 6:15 p.m. The place was pretty quiet and we got seated right away. I ordered the Bún bò Huế. The broth was rich & spicy with good layers of flavor although on the oily side for me which probably has to do with chili oil. The bowl is full of noodles & ingredients making it fulfilling. My friend got the special beef pho large size and he said that it is very good. We also ordered the crispy spring rolls. We both loved this as it was a bit different than what we are used to. We believe that there is taro in the roll which makes it so yummy. I really liked the decor of this place! We both agreed that this is definitely a place to be included in our rolling list of Pho restaurants to eat at! read more

I came here for dinner. I ordered the large rare beef pho. The broth was very good, but unfortunately I think the measurement for the noodles was off. I think it went into another bowl on another table. They were Able to scoop out 4 small bowls of noodle while mine only 2. The decor in this place is nicely decorated, comfortable and natural setting. The service was really quick. Although they forgot my bean sprout, lime and basil. read more
Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine = 5 STARS! Can I say how picky I am when it comes to pho and Vietnamese food! The pho is too salty, bland, not hot enough, the tendons are not tender, the beef is chewy, and I walk away hungry and disappointed! Well, not here! Located in a very large plaza, with plenty of parking, this Vietnamese and family-owned business is busy for a reason! The friendly service is spot on, and very consistent. The pho is prepared and cooked perfectly. There's a choice of fresh or dry noodles, but I personally like the firm and chewy texture of dry noodles. There is plenty of beef (I'm not twirling my chopsticks around looking for it), and the broth is delicious. I always upgrade to a larger bowl so I can give some to my pho-loving husband, but honestly, a regular size is filling. Their spring rolls are a bit on the pricey side, but soooo delicious! Now I'm craving another bowl of pho! read more
Have not been here for a while. I guess another victim of Covid. Once again the food was good and service was good. Booths still have the plexiglass separating them which is great (yes I am still paranoid). The Grass lemon chicken rice was tasty and the chicken was nicely seasoned and cooked. We ordered a side spring rolls which I found quite pricey. $8 for two thin spring rolls is quite cha-ching! Guess I will not bother with this side dish next time. Fortunately it did not take away from my experience. read more
Pretty decent and hearty bowl of pho! Space is bright and spacious. Ample amount of booths and sitting areas for small and large groups. Rickshaw at the front is a fun touch and adds to the Vietnamese charm. I enjoyed their pho, their broth is flavourful and has good amount of toppings. I do wish they have fresh noodles but they didn't have them when I visited. Satay beef noodles are a bit too greasy to my liking but still tasty. Satay was very prominent. Price isn't bad as well at $13.99 for regular size. I'd come back for some nice pho without the price tag read more

My visit to Pho Time during Pandemic was an excellent experience. Vaccination passport checked Active Patron Screening Questionnaire Spacious Interior with booth seating Clear Signage (order, pickup area) Clean Interior We were seated promptly in one of the booths at the back. Service here is fast and efficient. We ordered 4 items to share: House Special Pho Lemongrass Beef and Spring Rolls Vermicelli Fish Sauce Chicken Wings Beef Brisket in Tomato Sauce with Rice Portion is good. Chicken Wings were my favorite. So crispy and well seasoned! I would recommend Pho Time for dine in during Pandemic. Price is reasonable. Such a positive experience. Cash and Debit only. read more
This place for Vietnamese food is located at Cachet Center on 9255 Woodbine (at 16th Ave) in Markham is a great neighbourhood restaurant. I've been there many times. I always get their Pho Special that's loaded with rare beef, beef balls, tripe with lots of fresh green onions in a very flavourful broth. They offer option of fresh or dry noodles and both are good depending on your personal preference with dry noodles being a bit more chewy. The regular size bowl is a large portion enough for two to share for small appetites like me. I like to order other dishes to try and have with leftovers to take home. One of my favourite snacks is the Salt and Pepper Fried Tofu with chilli. So crispy on the outside and soft moist tofu on the inside. So delicious... never any leftovers of this appetizer. The Lemon Grass Pork Chop with short cut rice is hearty dish that's so good. The chops are marinated with lemongrass and is so tender and flavourful with ginger and green onions. The Crab Fried Rice is very good. You can see it's generously loaded with large pieces of soft shell crab. The spring rolls are crispy and dipped in the chilli vinegar sauce .... one of my faves! The decor in here is contemporary and comfortable. Large sized booths and tables. I highly recommend you try this place for some delicious Asian comfort food!! read more

Noise level was okay, there was just one large table of ladies who were a bit too loud. Service was amazing! The staff were attentive, polite and actively listening. The owner was here about also taking care of the floor and being kind to all the guests. We came in half an hour before closing, but they still allowed us to sit in. They did not make us feel unwelcomed or rushed at all. When it was closing time they left the bill on the side and did not brush us away. I felt bad. I personally wanted to eat quicker so they can go home sooner. Amazing broth, fresh and dry noodles, generous portion and beautifully plated. The deep fried shrimp tempura was fresh out of the fryer. The restaurant is spacious and has a nicely decorated interior, but the two dishes I tried were just average. They taste good but I found them to be very ordinary flavours, like any other pho restaurant. To be fair I got take out so I guess that could affect the taste. - P9 pho with beef balls, regular size ($13.95). The beef balls were small, tasted good and had a good bounce, but very ordinary. I liked that they put all the greens/onions/bean sprouts in the take out container. They were kind enough to substitute the regular flat rice noodles for the round kind that goes into bun bo hue. - SP2 bun bo hue, one size, which was the size of the regular pho ($16.95). Came with one thick slice of Vietnamese ham (or whatever that is called?), one big piece of tendon, and lots of beef brisket and beef shank. Once again I found the taste to be ordinary. Pros: - large portion (lots of rice) - pork chop was mostly tender, lemongrass flavour really comes through - the vegetables were fresh - the pickles carrots/diakon were nice and light Cons: - the rice was a little soft for my liking Overall: 4.5/5 - I would recommend this place. read more
It was certainly a nice surprise that this Viet place is clean and took every precaution related to the pandemic. We sat inside which all the booths were separated. The interior design was hip and modern. Utensils were put inside a plastic bag and sauce came in a container which I found not necessary. The service was decent and quick. They didn't hurry us one bit. The vermicelli bowl with spring roll and chicken was satisfying. Nothing stood out but it was good! The price point is a bit pricier, but I didn't mind as this place is inside a plaza and there's plenty of parking space. Verdict: I would definitely go back and try their other dishes. I think I need to try some other options. But based on the food we got, here we go: 1) pho - tasted pretty good! The meatballs seem like they were made in house the flank was just ok. 2) spring rolls - a little greasy yet not crispy enough 3) pork skin fresh rolls - on their own, they weren't terribly flavourful. Not sure it was what I had in mind. With the fish sauce, it was better. I think I prefer other fresh rolls instead. 4) pepper salt tofu - YUM. Crispy and fantastic! Would order again! Great attentive service We ordered drinks too (avocado milkshake and 3 bean ice drink) but unfortunately they didn't have either. I wouldn't mind trying this place again but definitely getting different things. read more
I can never get tired of eating pho (Vietnamese beef soup noodles). Unlike most vietnamese soup noodle places, there's usually different sizes but this place only had the one size for $10.95 a bowl. Although it was just the one bowl size, there were lots of meats and noodles. The broth was very flavourful...nice aromatics with the right mix of fresh herbs and onions. We also got the grilled meat balls as a side dish which was okay but we likely won't be getting this next time. If you are a fan of pho, give this place a try! read more
This is easily a 5 star experience. Excellent service, beautiful restaurant, and delicious food. Their spring rolls are high quality and perfectly fried. The filling has a good mix of ingredients whereas other places may have too much taro instead of meat. The pho is generous with meat and tastes great. It could use a bit more noodles though. The broth is clear and fragrant and top tier. The rice was the highlight for me. It was so good that i came back a second time to eat it after only a week. I got the pork chop with egg meatloaf and shredded pork skin. So good. They have banh cuonh on the weekends which I'll have to try next time. read more

Generous portion for a large pho size. Soup was very tasty and fragrance. The flavoring for the lemongrass porkchop and chicken on rice was quite nice. The crispy spring rolls was very good, not oily and meaty. Service was excellent, staff was quite attentive. The restaurant was very clean and bright. Accepts only debit and cash. read more

This is my 5th take out order for the past couple of months from this Vietnamese restaurant. I've been quite impressed with all but one experience where they forgot all the sauces including the brown sauce and the spring rolls/vermicelli/rice sauce all in one order. That was not a pleasant experience for us since the sauce is key in the family! They always give a complimentary item. I'm not sure though if it's if you've spent a certain amount, but even when I've always ordered at least 3 pho bowls and 1 crispy spring rolls (big family, too many mouths to feed and share with). I would say they give a good amount of noodles and decent amount of protein. They give a huge amount of beansprouts, but not enough mint leaves though in my opinion. Overall this is the new Vietnamese cuisine spot for our family. I've already recommended this to my family and friends before. I'll be going here many more times in the near future. read more
This was our first visit. We got here just before 6pm on Saturday. I love the interior. It's spacious and very clean. There was no line up. The customer service is very good. We ordered the satay beef with fresh noodles, chicken with fresh noodles. spring roll, chicken wings, rare beef with fresh noodle and beef stew. They have two sizes available for pho (regular and large). We also tried the lychee with ice drink. It came with crushed ice, green jelly and fresh lychee pieces. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. [4.5/5] Pho Time is a newer restaurant located on 16th Ave and Woodbine Ave on the same side as the TNT. It's clean with a beautiful and spacious interior. This is based on a dinner experience on September 17, 2020. Right upon entering, you will see a Vietnamese bike taxi, a big neon sign with a Pho pun, and lights decorated with Vietnamese leaf hats known as Non La. The restaurant is brightly lit and welcoming. Many seats are available even though they aren't using every table due to the pandemic with a lot of space in between. There is definitely a lot of room for social distancing. There is a bottle of hand sanitizer on tables that are in use and partitions placed on the long middle tables. To begin, you are served with Jasmine tea (a rarity and my favorite!) and each person receives a clear bag of wooden chopsticks, plastic soup spoon, and napkins (COVID measurement). The only issue I had was with the size of the plastic spoon. It is very small for a noodle soup restaurant. I enjoy having noodles with soup for every bite and it was a bit hard to achieve that because of the size of the spoon. Pho Time advertises that they specialize in Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup and other Vietnamese Authentic Dishes but they also have Cambodian, Singapore, Thai, Chinese, and Malaysian dishes. Their menu has a lot of Vietnamese staples but I was surprised they didn't have Vietnamese noodle specialties like Bun Bo Hue. Fried spring rolls were $ 6.95 for 2 and they were crispy; a bit on the smaller side but filled with taro and pork. It was very delicious but I wasn't a fan of their dipping fish sauce which seemed like it was just purely fish sauce- there wasn't the common amalgamation of sweet and sour. However, I appreciated how they put the sauces in small containers. Pho with Grilled Chicken $12.95 + Added Beef Flank $4 The chicken pho itself was slightly more expensive than some other places. It has a very clear and clean broth. The grilled chicken was flavorful but a bit overcooked- it wasn't juicy and tender. I loved how they provided the add on of beef flank in a separate bowl with beef broth pho soup! I had a hard time choosing between Beef Flank and Grilled Chicken so it was nice to have the option. I preferred the Beef Flank. The Flank was very tender and soft but there are some pieces that have a lot of fat. Pho Time House Special Pho $10.95 + Added Vietnamese Sausage $3 The Vietnamese Sausage is Cha Lua which was added to the soup. The broth for this beef-based pho was a tad too sweet for my liking. Although the soup for both pho was super hot, I felt that the noodles weren't soft enough and some of it was stuck together near the bottom even after mixing. Note: All the pho comes in one size- large. All the pho is served with beansprouts, lime, Asian basil, big fresh hot chili peppers on the side. You have the option to ask for steamed beansprouts instead. This is a great place for lunch as they have $9.95 specials from 11 am - 3 pm that is really worth if you want some of their more specialized dishes. They also have take out specials where you can get Free Thai Veggie Spring Rolls if you spend $30 before tax or free chicken wings if you spend $50 before tax. Vegetarian dishes are also available. Overall, a pretty good first impression. Service was very good and our server also came to my table to ask about the experience and talk about the restaurant. The hot soup was perfect as the days are getting cooler. I would definitely be back to try more if I am in the area! read more
