I saw plenty of glowing reviews about this place and had to try it for myself. I heard nothing but good things and hear phenomenal things about the drink. The food was amazing as expected and so was the service. The service was fast and very helpful. But honestly I been going there for the last few days and one thing, a person has truly brought colour to this place. A girl so beautiful you can mistake her for a angel she looks so heavenly and sweet, I think she the real reason I go back everyday, she always there sitting in the corner in her own little world it's so adorable especially those small little smiles of hers . I seen her make drinks so she definitely a worker there, she makes that place look so lively it's truly blows me away that a girl like that exists. We decided to try la sen after a glowing recommendation from a colleague. Located on the ground floor of a parking garage, you can get validated parking if you eat at a restaurant nearby. La Sen has a beautiful interior and decent amount of seating for its smallish space. Service was good - things came quickly and they seem to have quite a few unique items on the menu. Beef salad - really refreshing and flavorful salad. Had a bit of spicy kick on the beef which was really nice with the other fresh vegetables. Wine braised pho hotpot - I really enjoyed this hotpot - even more so than their typical pho. You can get unlimited soup refills too which is great. Broth is light yet flavorful. Pho - decided to try their "regular " pho which has a bit more herbal notes than their hotpot. It's not bad but I could see some of the herbal/spice undertones being off putting to some. Stret style platter - lots of good, great variety, very fresh. Loved this dish - getting to make your own customized roll is worth it. Durian crema coffee - an interesting that I've never seen. It's line a typical coffe but a large and thick layer of durian foam layer on top of the coffee. Price: A bit higher than other pho places but well worth trying read more

They validate parking but the parking entrance/exit was on the other side of the building. It was miserable trying to find our way to the restaurant in sub zero temperature. Better to just park on the street after 6pm. Had their pho, bun bo hue, stewed beef noodle soup. Portions were generous and flavors were pretty authentic and tasty. The interior of La Sen was clean and serene. They had an artificial cherry blossom tree and the ceiling and walls were decorated with woven bamboo art. The server was friendly and took our orders in a timely manner. We ordered the Lunch Combo which lets you choose an appetizer, a main and a drink. We chose the fried spring rolls (5/5), beef pho (5/5) and a can of soda. We also ordered the Hoi An Style Chicken Rice (3.5/5). Fried Spring Rolls were crispy and generously packed. The sauce was a bit on the sweeter side. I prefer the sauce to be more on the savoury side but that's just a personal preference. Beef Pho had thinly sliced beef and the broth was mild, clean yet flavourful. I would say their broth tasted on the healthier side compared to other places we've been to. It wasn't heavily seasoned with salt/spices/herbs which gave it a refreshing taste. The vegetables that came with it tasted fresh with a crunch to every bite. Hoi An Style Chicken and Rice was okay. The chicken itself was served lukewarm which was quite a let down. It was also on the chewier side and felt a bit dry. Although it did come with the chicken broth on the side which helped a lot with the dryness. The broth also tasted mild and clean, leaning more towards that healthier and rich flavour. The rice and salad was topped with crispy fried garlic which gave the dish a nice crunchy texture and enhanced the overall flavour profile. The salad was fresh and had some tanginess to it. It doesn't get more authentic than Lá Sen Vietnamese Cuisine! We've been here many times! Owned and operated by lovely Vietnamese family members; the service is friendly, gracious, and welcoming. I highly recommend the beef rib pho with two large tender ribs and generous amounts of sliced beef, and the signature beef pho - both are our go-to orders! The broth is clear and aromatic, the way it should be. We also like the grilled pork or chicken with vermicelli and spring rolls (large portions). If you haven't tried chewy green rice, combined with avocado and coconut milk, then do order the Green Rice CocoCado! I always order it for dessert! The Vietnamese iced coffee (hot or cold) is strong and robust. The Vietnamese Salted Cold Foam coffee is another favorite. Super rich, creamy and decadent! We drink a lot of sparkling water at home, and the Passion Perrier Fizz is refreshing, and not overly sweet. As a dessert lover, the coconut jelly dessert features three types of coconut; jelly, coconut strips and coconut milk! I'm not a fan of durian, but my partner tried the Thai Jelly Medley with Durian several times! It's topped with a huge mound of durian purée. This spot is pretty decent but price is a bit up there if you don't get the combo. Got the bun bo hue and tried the Viet coffee (drink alone was like $7 or something). BBH wasn't as spicy as I was expecting but the flavour of the broth was not bad. I did end up liking it more as I continued to eat. The soup is piping hot so be careful. They also had pickled garlic (which I don't see often) but we didn't get any at the table so maybe next time I'll ask for it. Found this relatively new resto on online as I was roaming on Yelp and Google and quickly came w/ my gf to take advantage of the 15% off all items from the dinner & weekend specials menu. It's in the building adjacent to the Porsche dealership. You can park in the parking garage and then ask the servers to present you a pass which you can then insert in the parking garage machine when you exit, to exempt the parking cost. Right off the bat when we walked in, we noticed the resto was pretty big and able to sit quite a number of customers. We arrive at 7pm-ish on a Sunday and got a table right away. We got the wine-braised beef pho hotpot for 2, fish sauce wings and viet drip coffee w/ condensed milk. The fish sauce wings were not consistent unfortunately. Some of them were juicy, some of them were overcooked and dry. They also took quite a while to make these (I think they should put a disclaimer on the menu in brackets that this item would take 20-25 mins to prepare; that way, customers know to order it quickly before looking at rest of the menu). The wine-braised pho hotpot is a pretty unique item and this was the first resto in the GTA I've seen serving it. It was good! They stuff quite a bit of meat variety in your pot. Love my beef ribs and big chunks of brisket. The soup was tasty (not your typical beef pho broth). My gf and I had one gripe though. The broth was lukewarm when it arrived. The server brings it to the table with this dinky little candle burner underneath. I'm not sure if the concept was to keep the pot warm with this tiny flame but we figured that the pot would slowly bubble and boil on low simmer. We were wrong lol. We enjoyed the dish but as a feedback to the resto, I think using an actual burner or bringing the pot to the table while it's still steaming hot/bubbling would be a definite improvement. The drip coffee was as good as the one at our current fave spot, Ngon Corner. I'd definitely be open to coming back in the future! They have some unique and interesting items that I don't think I've seen at other restos and want to try (ex. the golden crispy chicken rice and hue supreme beef noodle soup). Price-wise it is slightly more expensive than Ngon Corner and Pho Anh Vu so comparatively speaking, I think those would continue to be our go-to's for pho. Decided to check out this new Vietnamese restaurant and had a good time. Walking in, the restaurant looked modern and clean with a variety of tasteful decorations. The ceiling was tall so you don't feel claustrophobic and theres more dampening, so it's not noisy. I ordered the Vietnamese Salted Cold Foam Coffee and it hit the spot. It has a generous layer of Foam, great coffee flavour and right amount of sweetness. For the main dish, I ordered the Beef Short Ribs Pho and chicken banh mi. The beef came off the bone very easily, was very tender and tasty. You do have to be careful of the bone as there was a small piece lodged in the meat. The broth was lightly salted, but didn't have the flavour I was looking for. While not the best broth, it was still acceptable. The noodles were very slippery and went down well. For the chicken banh mi, biting into the soft bread that's been toasted with an decent amount of chicken was decent. However, the way it's presented, makes it very easy for the chicken and toppings to fall out after biting into it, so make sure you're eating over the plate. Staff was very polite and attentive, making sure we recieved food in an appropriate amount of time. If you're interested in eating Vietnamese food, make sure to keep this on your radar. read more

Took a while to be seated but food came out quickly. We ordered the pho from the lunch combo menu which included a drink, appetizer, and main. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk for my drink, the fresh Saigon roll for app, and beef pho for main. The iced coffee wasn't too sweet and had a nice coffee base. I wasn't a huge fan of the Saigon roll as the chicken in the roll had a strong boiled flavour. The pho broth was clear and flavourful and the noodles were cooked well. We also ordered the bun bo hue which had a light seafood flavour and came with lots of meat and blood sausage. Although the combo price is a bit steep ($18.99) it did save us a bit as I was planning to get an appetizer and coffee prior to knowing about the combo. [Good] Deluxe Stone Bowl Pho - Available only for dinner and on weekends, this one is special. The broth is wonderfully deep in flavour. You get a choice of marrow or rib. We chose the rib as I find marrow typically makes the broth too greasy. The big beef rib came fall off the bone with beefy flavour. All other ingredients including the noodles came on the side in a tower. Vietnamese Signature Pudding w/Lychee & Fruit - Long name but deliciously describes what it is. Bite sized pieces of pudding and fruit in a not-too-sweet lychee soup. If you like lychee, get this. Thai Jelly Medley with Durian - Similar to the Vietnamese Che Ba Mau, this dessert has plenty of jelly and surprising pieces of jackfruit and of course a piece of durian on top. The jackfruit was floral and gave a nice sweetness to the dessert. I loved the combination. [Worth it?] Prices are reasonable for the quality. I would not hesitate to return to try other dishes. By chance we came here for dinner and we are so happy we did. They were celebrating their 1 year anniversary when we came so they had a few promos going on. The servers were super attentive and personable. The servings were massive and the food was flavorful. We really enjoyed everything we had. They offered pandan tea which we complimented and received 2 bottles for free. They also gave us a box of coconut cookies! The only feedback I would give (and even with this I would give them 5 stars) is that the back area of the restaurant near the wall had a machinery or a vent going thats somewhat loud. Hidden gem. I loved everything I had ordered. I got the fish sauce chicken wings 6 pieces, a Banh mi with grilled beef, and a bun with grilled pork. The dishes didn't take long to come but the stand out for me was the chicken wings. There is only one other viet restaurant that I loved fish sauce chicken wings and this one beats it. I was obsessed. The bun was good too, it had a lot of meat and like wise for the Banh mi. Service was good and attentive. They filled our tea whenever we were low. Ordered through doordash for delivery! So, every Vietnamese spot that serves pho only serves it in large shareable portions. Many people can easily go through them on their own, but I personally can't and I hate that every time I order I end up with huge amounts of leftovers that don't taste good the next day. I've always wanted to be able to have a single person portion with a small side and a drink without spending so much so I'm really glad I found this place and that they serve this Build Your Own Lunch Combo which comes with one single person pho or banh mi, a single person portion of their appetizers, and a choice of drink. I got the beef pho with fresh spring roll (shrimp&pork), and the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. Unfortunately during delivery before I picked it up, the drink got tipped over and spilled all over my front porch and main floor of my house and kitchen counters, and I ended up losing half of the drink. thankfully doordash offered a quick resolution. The pho itself comes with a really good amount of toppings for the meat, noodles, and veggies. The spring roll was also big and cut in half and served with peanut sauce. I was able to finish the meal without leftovers and feel satisfied. for $20, it was worth it since pho costs $18 anyways at most other places and spring rolls nowadays are like $10, and drinks $7. Dropped by for a late lunch on a Saturday. We had the grilled pork vermicelli and the broken rice with grilled chicken. It wasn't that busy but the service was not the best. They were not that attentive and we had to wait before we could order, the food took a long time and had to ask for tea refill. The food was only ok. The fish sauce and the taste of the chicken and pork was lacking in flavour. The grilled chicken was overcooked and was dry. We had to ask for more sauce for the vermicelli and the broken rice. First time trying Lá Sen Vietnamese. The place seemed very clean and the service was great. The food on the other hand was just "ok". We ordered the combo specials that came with a drink, an appetizer and a main for $18.95 plus tax and tip. The drinks came in a small size cup, but were quite tasty. One of us ordered a crispy spring rolls and one of us ordered a fresh spring roll with prawn and pork as our appetizers. You got one small spring roll per combo. It tasted good, but nothing that really stood out. For our mains we ordered the Beef Pho. As part of the combo you get a small bowl with half a beef ball, a few shreds of tripe, one slice of raw beef (I think that's what it was) and about 3 slices of another type of beef, could have been brisket, but I'm not entirely sure. The broth was nice and light. I would've much preferred something more flavourful. The upside is that they do validate parking as long as you park within the building's parking lot. Just give the server your parking ticket and they will sort you out. Too bad we did not find out about this until after we paid for street parking. All in all, our lunch was good, but I don't think I would go back here unless I was very hungry and in the immediate area, or they dropped their combo prices a bit. read more

It's unacceptable to leave a customer waiting more than 20 minutes and only start preparing their order after they've reminded you twice. Allowing a customer to leave your restaurant unhappy shows poor service and is not a good way to run a business. You should also ask your staff whether they are treating customers with respect, because if people feel disrespected, they won't come back. read more

Lovely! You can park in the parking structure and get a parking coupon from them for free parking up to 4 hours. We shared a steamed rice roll with cold cut - one of their special menu items at the moment. I'm hopeful it stays on the menu because it just hits the spot! It comes with such an array of vietnamese cold cuts, squid/fish cakes, veggies, and a delicious steamed rice roll. Texture is a bit soft, chewy, stretchy and sticky. Dip it in their dipping fish sauce and ooof, quite lovely. The fresh rolls are nice and their peanut sauce is made with coconut cream of sorts which gives it such a great coconut flavour. I liked even the rice paper they used. It's nice and chewy. I adore that texture. We ordered the chicken fresh rolls which had a lovely flavour. The vermicelli bowls are huge here and the brothless grilled chicken actually comes with flat rice noodles instead of the usual round vermicelli. It's so much better because it holds onto sauce nicely and it's so thin. Bit of a pricey spot, but it's really yummy viet dishes. Service was friendly and fairly quick. The only item that took a while was oddly the dessert. We tried the coconut Hai Phong jelly dessert. It was very refreshing. Ice in coconut milk with coconut flesh and jelly shavings. I didn't love the other jelly stuff though because texturally, it just was a bit hard. read more

This is a new restaurant and interior is modern and comfortable. They have a regular and new offering menu. We tried all the favorites. Chicken pho, beef pho, spring roll, Saigon roll, and the rice roll (Banh cuon). Everything is really fresh and tasty. They really focus on quality here. The broth for the soups and fish sauce are not overly salty at all. The tea is amazing not the typically bland tasteless stuff. Very clean and tidy wrapped chopsticks and utensils. Came here for dinner and my msg meter did not go off. This is the second time I've been to La Sen and their pho is truly excellent. The signature pho was $18.95 in large and was super comparable to other locations close by. The challenge with pho is getting a delicious broth and perfectly cooked noodles. Their noodles were just flash cooked and done the proper way. It wasn't too soggy or too chewy. The broth was piping hot and could easily clear any sinuses if you weren't feeling the winter air. Overall, we've tried their other items and the pho is our number pick. Parking is the only thing that gets one star removed. Although there is free parking with validation, the idea of a parking garage is still unfamiliar in that area. read more

Yes, it was good for dessert. I came here specifically for their coffee and the Mixed fruit with coconut milk and durian. The coffee was perfect vietnamese style i saw them use the drip style coffee to make it not the powdered mix that many many pho places use. Perfect bitter taste and keeps you AWAKE! WOKE!!! The mixed fruit with durian was yummy. You really need to be a fan of durian to eat this. There was an actual fruit pieces of durian in this dessert not powder. We went to try out this new Viet spot on a very busy Sunday but the staff/ owner were so friendly to accommodate our orders. Their free range chicken pho is one of the best in town. This is not a popular Item in many places because of higher cost and the meat is kinda chewier which is not preferable in Canada but this shows you how legit the place is.
