I ordered the pho and the broth tasted hearty with a delicious flavour. This is one of the better pho broths than I have had. The portion size of the small sized bowl was big enough to keep me full. The service was timely and there was no wait for a table. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the decorations add to the atmosphere.
Excellent but pricey. Lovely decor , warm service and gave great recommendations. Dishes are on the expensive side (a bowl of pho and coffee will set you back $30). Recommend for flavour ). The fish pho was just perfect. The egg coffee was mouth watering ! Should definitely order it if you come here.
Big ass portions they do not warn you about. Amazing decor like it's so gorgeous in there, but soooo loud. The bathroom is dirty too. The food was like way too much for one person; I felt like a balloon. It was good, though, I'll give it that. The bun rieu was missing something, though, but I can't remember what. Wish they warned us about the humongous size of everything, but everything was fine other than that.
Probably my favorite pho spot -- I always go for the house special, and the broth is rich, flavorful, and satisfying every time. They also serve it with sides of pickled garlic and pepper, which adds a nice kick. The restaurant is fairly spacious but does get busy during peak times. I did have one odd experience where my order number was called incorrectly and I ended up with the wrong dish. Mistakes happen, but it was strange that the server said they couldn't cancel or fix it -- they just handed me a takeout container and told me to take the extra food home instead. That said, the food keeps me coming back. Just hoping that policy isn't a regular thing!
Came here on a cold windy afternoon (but I guess that's just like any other days in December). Got a table for the 5 of us right away. Excellent pho, juicy crispy spring rolls, and yummy fresh rolls. Cleansed with delicious Vietnamese coffee. My friends got the chicken and pork rice dishes, the meats were flavorful and had a nice char. Certainly above and beyond the Vietnamese food we have in Austin. Wish this place is close to me!
This location of the two I have gone to so far, is much better, newer, has superior food and service. It was evident through the Vietnamese coffee, where you get a three layers (coffee crema foam, coffee and condensed milk) and after mixing comes out perfect! The BUN BO HUE (BBH) deluxe weekend only version, one of the BEST I have ever eaten. The broth's richness infused with strong lemongrass, the inclusion of soft flavorful beef, pork hock, pork blood and all of the right vegetable condiments set the gold standard. I love the fresh side of chopped garlic and thai chilis they offer on every table - I dump a heaping scoop of this crack into the BBH inferno bowl to make it that much better. The special pho deluxe for two was excellent. A generous portion of everything including pieces of tender oxtail for a sense of luxury. Service from an extremely efficient and professional server named Hai made the experience extra special. I did try the pork chop with rice and did not feel that that was their strong suit but I still maintain the BBH and the soups saved the day for me. Bookmarked for futures travels to Toronto area.
There's nothing like hot noodles on a cold day, and this place delivers just that! Overall all of the food we ordered (fresh spring rolls, grilled chicken on vermicelli and spring roll on vermicelli, and house special pho) was all very good. The grilled chicken stood out as it was a very large portion as well as being tasty. My only complaint is that the price is a bit higher than other places in the area, while not standing out in any compared to this cheaper options. Overall, happy to return again, but probably won't be a first option for me.
Amazing food. Definitely one of the best pho in town. The restaurant is very pleasant, from the moment you walk in it comfortable and relaxing. The fake trees add a very calm g atmosphere. Very well decorated. The service is quick and friendly. The (#22)pho with beef ribs is served with a huge beef bone that is served in a separate bowl was the star. You get scissors with the bone so you can tear into it. All the tendon and meet on the bone were tensor and tasty. This is my favorite pho. You'll have to work to get to the good stuff. This is also limited and is only available after 11:30 and once it's sold out you have to come back the next day. The mango salad was exceptionally good, mango at just the ripeness with sweet, sour and a hint of spicy. Perfect blend.
I heard about a pretty Vietnamese restaurant opening up in Scarborough, so I had to come check it out and indeed, it was really pretty inside with its artificial cherry blossoms. The restaurant was pretty busy with its decor, and even their tables are jammed with condiments. it was really hard to put all our food on the table. I think they need bigger tables so you can eat comfortably. Food wise everything was super delicious. I like how the food tasted really clean but flavourful the portion was huge and we had a lot of leftovers. The mixed grilled meats and veggies with the rice paper combo and a noodles was also super delicious and honestly I love this so much I forgot the name of this but I think it was the only one that had rice paper served with it and honestly it's like a two people portion. The special pho with oxtail was so tender and again portion was so big that you can easily share this. Vietnamese coffee was also super delicious and I could easily drink two of it. Super happy with this meal so satisfying the only thing that wasn't awesome was the fried spring roll which the Skin was very crispy and it was kind of chewy and hard to eat. Overall highly recommend the food!
The regular pho bowl is excellent. Broth on point, prime meat cuts and firm noodles. The spring rolls were also phenomenal here. Nice and crunchy and also tender ingredients on the inside. The decor of this pho anh vu is the nicest out of all the ones I've visited. It's super artsy and a lot of effort has been put into the design to give it that traditional feel. I was disappointed in the side order of grilled chicken that I got. The menu picture is VERY different than what I received in terms of portion/size. It looked like a nice big cutlet from the menu picture but what I received was a side order that was half the size. At the $8 price point they were charging for this side order I feel like I was duped. Would not order again. I'm also dropping my rating from 5 stars to 4 because they've removed the special beef rib pho from the dinner menu. Instead, they've chosen to replace it with oxtail (which I tried at the markham location) and is definitely NOT worth the money imo. I detailed why in my Pho Anh Vu Markham review. I will be back to Pho Anh Vu Richmond Hill to see if the beef rib pho is now only available for the 11am-2pm special. If this is a company-wide change, I will be highly upset as the pho is delicious but the oxtail change from the beef rib is a ripoff.
- Food was really good! Ingredients felt fresh, portions were sizable, and taste was flavorful. We had the XL pho, spring rolls, and chicken & pork chop on broken rice - Recommend the spring rolls! These aren't your typical spring rolls, they're thicker and the texture around the outside is amazing - Service was good, no complaints at all. Food came out quite quickly. Remember checking out is self-serve (walk up to cashier) - Ambiance was fine. The lights were a bit bright but this is the typical ambiance in Asian restaurants in the Scarborough Toronto area, so no complaints
So many tasty things at this pho spot in Scarborough, but for me the best is the (S4) Bún bò Huế đặc biệt. It has the awesome balance of rich salty, spicy, and savory flavors all come in one bowl. You also get a solid amount of meats like sliced beef, triples, pork knuckles, and blood curds. Heads up though as this rice noodle bowl item is only available on Fridays and weekends. It is a total must-order in my opinion. Their chicken wings, Vietnamese spring rolls, beef stew with French baguette and smoothies are also great. I am already craving it while typing, LOL... I don't mind it certainly is a little pricey here as long as the food are good. You get what you pay for. Definitely recommended if you are in the area. read more
My cousins and I enjoyed a really good lunch at Lang Chai Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine in Scarborough. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! We started our meal with some appetizers - Spring Rolls, and Shrimp Rolls. They were huge and delicious, a sign of things to come. My cousins had the Rare Beef and Beef Ball Pho, Rare Beef and Flank Pho, and the Grilled Pork Vermicelli. The pho broth was rich in flavour, and very tasty. The grilled pork was delicious, with a nice charred flavour. I had the Beef Rib Bones Pho that included three meaty rib bones, and a knuckle bone with rich marrow. This dish is so huge, it's served in two bowls! It was a little awkward to eat because the bones were so large. I ended up taking home half of it to enjoy later. This dish is more than enough for sharing! Everything we had was very flavourful, with huge portions. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was very inviting. I highly recommend Lang Chai. Recently came back after they changed their name and most of the dishes quality is still good. We tried their beef salad and it was delicious. Good mix of greens and meat in the sauce and paired well with shrimp chips. read more

Even though it was a busy evening the service was organized and were prompted to a table quickly! Beautiful decor and spacious resto. Tried a $31 3 tiered pho and the soup stayed warm the whole meal! The portion seemed a tad smaller than the usual bowls. read more

My first overdue visit to pho anh vu was on a busy Sunday night. Even at 8 pm it was packed. We ordered #18 rare and cook beef pho but they accidentally gave us the everything house special pho instead. It was no big deal as any beef pho taste good. What I like about the pho here was that the soup was very delicious and not overly salty. We ordered size X-Large which is easily shareable between two people. I rate their pho 4.5/5. The pork chop with egg on broken rice was nothing special. This was my first time trying broken rice and I did not like it compared to regular rice. I wouldn't order this dish again just because their pho is so much more delicious. I rate this dish 3/5. Overall service was super nice and fast. Even though the place was packed our food took less than 10 mins to come out. I did not take a pic of the interior of the restaurant but it was very pretty. There are 3 different trees that made the restaurant look very whimsical and cute. Will be back to try the rest of the menu. This place is definitely the best pho restaurant at the midland and finch plaza. read more
One of many locations now open, this one did not disappoint. Came here for lunch on a cold day last week. We got an order of the pho dac biet small and an order of the com tam with grilled pork chop, the grilled chicken and steamed egg (subbed with fried egg) Service was ok, they sat us quickly but forgot to bring tea until we asked 3-4 times while food came out Food was good as always at pho anh vu. I hope the restaurant food quality stays the same as time goes by. Ambience is Vietnamese authentic flair, large space for parties of 4-6 and many small tables. I'd give it a 5 but the service irked me with missing tea on a cold frigid day. Always next time ;) 4/5 read more
Cute space with pretty decor and lots of seating. I got their house special pho because you can never go wrong, and it delivered. The portions are generous and there was a decent amount of protein in the bowl. The food came quick, but to get anything additional, you have to wave down a server... otherwise they don't come to check on you on their own. One of the better pho restaurants in the area that's worth the value in my opinion. read more
Very bold of them to open in the same plaza as Pho Vietnam and Linh Anh so close! It's definitely worth a try! We went around 7:30pm on a Sat and there was no line for a table of four . It got quite busy around 8:30-9pm though. My partner and I each got the special pho, the other two shared the Special Oxtail in hot stone bowl! I sampled theirs and home see it tasted the same , it's large enough to share between two ppl Pros- lots of meat . The large was actually a large omg ! - lots of broth . Love it so much ! -Very fresh herbs - fancy decorations Cons- it was a tad too salty for my liking and left a weird after taste Prices were decent considering the amount of meat ! Hearty pho with huge portions Food: Went during the grand opening of this restaurant and had the opportunity to order the special beef rib pho, which came in two separate bowls because the bones were so large. It was our first time having this dish and the beef was quite tender, with a nice clear broth for the pho and lots of condiments on the side. The staff were all Vietnamese, so the place was very authentic. The grilled pork bun was also very enjoyable, with a nice char on the pork to taste the smoky flavour. Although the prices are higher than typical Vietnamese restaurants, the portion size of the pho matches the pricing (i.e. larger than usual). Service: Everyone was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive, and they were staffed well with lots of customers being taken care of at the same time. Atmosphere: Decor was very nice with indoor trees and plants, and it really transported you to a scenic spring or fall in Asia. It was a very nice place for family gatherings or for a date, would definitely recommend it. read more
Linh Anh was full, so I walked over not sure if it was open yet, and it was! Took over the old Made in China spot I think, so the place is pretty big. Got seated pretty quick. Ordered Bun Cha Hanoi, flank/brisket Pho, and a Viet Coffee. If you haven't had Bun Cha Hanoi before, I'd strongly recommend it, I try to get it anytime they have it. It's grilled pork (patties and sometimes slices) in a fish sauce-based sauce/dipping broth, with vermicelli and herbs/veg on the side. Pretty tasty here. The pho was good too, good amount of onions and meat. Broth was beefy. Overall another good Vietnamese option for the area, would come back and try some of the other specialty items. read more
This place is super cute and spacious! Their ox tail stone bowl pho is suffice to feed two people! The meal comes in a sizzling hot bowl over a mini gas/ propane stove. The noodle, proteins and veggies are serve over three tiers of plates. Parking is also complimentary ~ as per most uptown plaza. read more
Newest location of Pho Anh Vu! Love the decor love the vibes. They've been pretty consistent with the quality of their food. This is the second location ive been to. Really amazing and attentive staff Some new menu items too! The ox tail pho is new. Huge portions! Had so much leftovers lol The rice paper platter was everyone's favourite. DIY your own wrap. All the toppings were delicious too. I have to give the spotlight to the mango and didnt think itll go so well. read more
Vietnamese restaurants all seem to have such fun decor. The staff are super friendly and hard working. The flavours of the stock and foods were all on point. The biggest thing you need to be careful about is that the restaurant gets really busy. Be ready to come early and wait. They don't have an electronic booking system either so you won't be able to book ahead. A great pho restaurant in Scarborough. Given there are quite a few in Scarborough, I would come back again for how all these points come together. read more

I've always wanted to try Pho Anh Vu as I've seen how popular it was when it initially opened in another plaza. We came on Sunday around 7pm, and despite it being full, we were lucky to have gotten a spot right away for 2 people. The interior is gorgeous, and arguably one of the nicest or probably the nicest Vietnamese restaurants I've ever visited in the GTA. I knew right away this spot will be pretty authentic as all the workers were speaking Vietnamese (a lot of pho restaurants I've been to were usually run by Chinese). I've seen come comments that their food is quite pricey in comparison, but the portion size of the food is actually larger. I got a small Pho Tai, and it was definitely at least the size of a medium. The soup was very pleasant to drink, but what stood out to me was the quality, and quantity of the rare beef slices. They were very tender, most likely not frozen and higher quality, and there were many pieces included. So yes, although a small is more expensive than other restaurants, the quality of the meat and the portion makes up for the price. We also tried the Bun Ga Nuong (53), and the portion of the grilled chicken is bigger than other restaurants. Both were great dishes, but the Pho Tai really stood out to me the most. We will definitely come to visit them again, but will be grabbing a XL Pho Tai to share as it was both our favourite dish! IG: Ayeween read more
I've been to the other locations & decided to try this relatively new one but think I prefer the other ones. The portions here are pretty small & not as generous with ingredients compared to the other locations. Went on a Monday around 3pm & got seated right away. Interior is well decorated & more spacious than Markham one. read more

Nice spacious restaurants with nice decors. Menu was quite big. I ordered the special (all types of beef) pho small size. Small was decent, the broth was good and it had a lot of meat surprisingly! The price is a little high for small dish, but I guess that's what it is now with food prices in the restaurant. The spring rolls were nice and crispy and I would come back again! read more
My favourite dish to get is #54 - grilled chicken vermicelli noodles with spring rolls. Their portions are big so I always bring leftovers home. The interior is nicely decorated they have a large seating area so I've never had to wait for a seat. To order, you write down what you want on the order form they give. New addition to the Midland and Finch area. Staff are extensive, space is nice with a lot of seating. Really extensive menu. Flavourful broth for the pho and it was packed with meat and noodles, rice dishes come with actual broken rice - quite enjoyed the meal here. Would recommend and will go back. read more
New location for pho anh vu, and to be honest it wasn't bad. They're currently offering 10% off for grand opening with cash or debit. The interior is super cute and themed in a way and staff were all very helpful. The pho was well seasoned and I'd say it's worth the try. It's slightly expensive for what they serve. read more

this spot has become a staple for me and my family, as other vietnamese restaurants in scarborough / richmond hill can't compare i'm honestly really picky with my vietnamese food but pho anh vu is pretty solid compared to its local competitors! whenever i come here, i always get the bun bo hue or any of the rice/vermicelli dishes. the bun bo hue is a great change if you're into spicy/tangy broths, and the meat in the rice or vermicelli are super tender and flavourful as for appetizers, the chicken wings are a must - the portion sizes here are big too and the price isn't too bad, i just miss when a large pho was $12 although pho anh vu is not at the top of my list for best vietnamese restaurants in the GTA (west end and sauga do it best..) i think they are definitely one of the better restaurants in scarborough / richmond hill the portions are big and the food here is flavourful, and they have plenty of room to cater to any group size! this location is one of the bigger restaurants in the plaza, and the servers here are very attentive. i love the decor in here as well - it really captures the essence of a vietnamese restaurant. if you're ever in scarborough or richmond hill i'd highly recommend checking them out and supporting them read more
