Pho Viet Tastes is a casual spot for comforting Vietnamese food. Service is friendly and quick, even when the place gets busy, and the portions are very generous for the price. The pho broth is clear, fragrant, and delicious. The noodles come out perfectly soft, and the beef slices are tender. The spring rolls are crispy and tasty, though they could use a bit more filling. Will definitely be back here to try some other dishes.

It's been a challenge finding a banh mi in The Woodlands area, but Yelp did me right in recommending this spot! Both the chicken and beef banh mi were perfection. Perfect bread is a must, and these sandwiches deliver. Beyond that the meat was tender, marinated and delicious, the butter was abundant, the veggies were crispy (some pickled for the perfect balance of acid), and the jalapeño spicy. The cherry on top of the experience was the beignets! I've added this spot to my beignet list, which now boasts 2 North Houston gems. Born during Covid, this hidden hotspot is certainly worth a stop in.

Yesterday was the perfect day to warm up with som Pho. I had Pho Viet Tastes favorited on Yelp so I decided to check it out. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and seated. I was happy to get a booth dining alone. There were a few customers there but it was not super busy. It was a clean and calm environment. I ordered the spring rolls and beef Pho. The spring tops were fresh and crispy just the way I like it. Although it was fried it wasn't greasy. My large Pho came out and it had nice flavor on its own. I asked for some chilli oil and the waitress promptly bought some out. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I had to take more than half to go. It's a win for me because I love left over Pho! I will say my entire dining experience was excellent. The price aligned with the quality food and service. I will definitely be back.

3.5 honestly. The inside decor was nothing special, mostly felt like a big empty space with tables around. When we got there we were told to pick our own table and they came and gave us menus. The menus were so stiff and would just keep folding closed if you didn't hold down. The food was kind of pricy and just basic and bland. Nothing really stood out and I probably wouldn't remember to try this place again.

Our local Viet place was closing so we were looking for alternatives and I'm so glad we came here. I'll keep it brief: the restaurant was easy to find, there was plenty of parking, the menu was straightforward, the chicken banh mi and spring rolls were excellent, and the food all came out at a reasonable time after ordering. We'll be back!

This place is amazing!!!!!! Tanner and I stopped in for a quick bite, inside is clean fresh and inviting! The food beyond good, we got the chargrilled chicken rolls to start and then for the chicken banh mi sandwiches he added egg to his but these were fantastic. Friendly service and prices were all a bonus.

Cool little spot worth the PHO! Cool spot nestled in the shopping center with various seating choices and selections. Food is tasty and service personnel are always checking up on you. Very serviceable and friendly

3.75. A2. Spring Rolls (2 rolls) ($5) - 3.5/5 Little smaller than what I'm used to but still good. G7. Grilled Shrimp, Beef, Egg Rolls ($15) - 4/5 Beef and shrimp had great flavors. Had all the standard stuff and the extra egg roll on the side was nice to have. B3. Grilled Pork Sandwich ($7) - 3.75/5 Pork was well flavored but there was barely any mayo on the bread. The bread was also not as good as other places and it was lacking enough pickled items to bring out the sweet/sour flavor. Would come back to try the pho.

In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.

Also weird how they don't have any drinks on the menu or let you know about options. Could I have asked for something else? Sure but again waitresses were just all over the place it was crazy. When we ordered and others food was coming out we realized what big portions they give you. BTW just 'cus it's big portions doesn't mean This food is about to be the best Ive ever had. The food- We got some shrimp plate and we were told it was spicy because it has peppers and peppercorns which would numb your tongue which it was just basic shrimp dish. Only good or cool part of it was eating lotus root which Ive never had before. We also ordered the "special" house beef noodles and I don't see the hype or why they're so special. The only crazy part was the noodles length. Which honestly made it hard to eat. We ordered the duck which came with the soup. The soup was made from scraps. I think if they had added more duck and not just scraps it would be my fav thing of everything we ordered. Will say it tasted like chicken soup. For the duck. It wasn't as crispy as people made it seem to be. I expect idk a more gamey flavor to it and all I kept saying is-This taste like pork carnitas. Idk why we got treated than the table behind us. We asked for to go just like they do but they just gave them their to-go plates like Here ya go and they put all of our food in our to-go for us. Would I go back? For the latter, it's gotten to a point where no other Vietnamese spot has come close. For pho seekers who happen to be in Humble, Pho Dien 1960 is an absolute must. The place is small, but they've stacked their small dining room into a very group friendly setup consisting of small booths and tables. The stale air quality is reminiscent of old school spots around town and the young Viet guys running the joint keep the place friendly and efficient. In terms of the pho, there are no complaints. The broth skews somewhat sweet, but it's aromatic enough for me to normally slurp it completely dry. Their best asset has been the meat, which is excellent. Their combination dac biet is an excellent variety that includes meatball, tripe, flank, and some of the best rare steak and tendon I've had. The latter is buttery and smooth enough to where I can't get enough. I tend to order it in their XL (xe lua) size, which is an off-menu item that goes for nearly $20 ($19.45) and is one of the largest bowls I've seen. I always look forward to getting it. While their banh mi and bun dishes are not nearly the same caliber, they still pass the test as a quality offering. The cha gio is a bit paltry, without any greens and a small bowl of semi-spicy nuoc mam (fish sauce). Their Vietnamese coffee is chocolate-y, and perfect for to-go. Their weekday lunch combo special is a good deal, in which one can come in for a small or medium sized pho and get an order of two cha gio or goi cuon with an iced tea. Parking is really easy on the weekends, especially since most of the businesses in the strip mall are closed. It has a lot of cool Japanese style decorations / wall art, and they're usually showing Pokémon on tv! The inside is very pretty / appealing to me, and it had a nice chill vibe. I will take more pictures next time. The service has always been overall solid, but my fiancée and I's favorite waitress is named Jennifer I believe. She's very sweet and attentive. We made it a point to ask her name last time we went(and somehow I'm iffy if I got it right). We were being served by a waiter who honestly was kinda meh, and then Jennifer saw us and greeted us. She then went to tell him to get us water, and I then just asked her if she could tend to us instead. She's great and we will always ask for her anytime we go moving forward. Onto the main subject: the food! I've ordered multiple different items here, but I'll start with the appetizers. I've tried the Brussels sprouts tempura, which were just ok to both my wife and I. It seemed like it was plain unseasoned Brussels sprouts fried lol. We've also had the fried shrimp shumai which was solid to me, but the Mrs said it was too fishy. Ramen: I've had the tonkotsu black (pork) multiple times, the spicy shrimp ramen, the Kami Goyu (sliced NY Strip) and the spicy chicken ramen. I really like all of the broths and noodles, but I feel like the pork, chicken, steak and shrimp proteins could improve. The pork seems really fatty / chewy but not in the way I'm used to. My wife doesn't care for it either. The chicken is like a thinly sliced chicken breast and seemed like it was cooked separately then dumped into the broth last second. The Mrs says it reminds her of a plain Costco chicken. I still ate this more the the pork, and pork is my usual go to. The shrimp was ok to me, and I'm not really sure how I'd describe it but I ate it all. I don't think I'd order the Kami Goyu again as I did not care for the steak, but I did eat it since I don't like wasting food. I think the spicy chicken ramen may be my favorite overall. My absolute favorite thing here though, is the Akuma roll. All I can say is I love it, and I'll be ordering it everytime I go. It is a raw sushi roll. All in all, I know we'll be back! Note: you can try 2 different types of ramen if you order the yin yang ramen, minus their lobster ramen.
