Least flavorful pho I have ever had. Iced coffee was the only good thing about my meal.

Ordered takeout here during our trip to Charlottetown. I called in and they said 20-25mins. I showed up in 15 and it was ready and waiting for me. Very pleasant experience. I enjoyed the chicken Phon and the fried spring rolls. read more

Dinner was well below standard expectations. Beef noodle soup was tasteless water down broth & the beef was over cooked, chicken 'bun' noodle didn't have enough salad, peanuts or cilantro ratio & didn't use the vermicelli noodles, the egg noodle dish didn't use egg noodles, but substituted other kind of noodles, chicken fried rice was the worst with old rice & pineapple (they could've added shredded carrots & peas). read more

My son and I went for dinner the other night and was disappointed in the food. My son ordered the lemongrass chicken while the waitress was nice enough to change the order from vermicelli noodles to rice, it looked sad but by son ate it and said it was okay. We had started with spring rolls to start that weren't very good, first they didn't come cut into bite size pieces but was plopped onto the plate whole. We had to cut them with a dull butter knife. They tasted kind of bland and the fish sauce had zero flavour and was watered down. I ordered the pho with meatballs and beef. I have had my share of pho and my pho didn't come with beansprouts, basil or lime. The broth was very weak, the meatballs were tough but the beef was passable. Overall I was very disappointed in my meal at Pho Vietnam and hope the food is upgraded. read more

Food and service are terrible ( I would give it a 1 star), but environment and minor MSG added (earned an extra star) I have tried hundreds of Vietnamese restaurants around the world. This is the worst Vietnamese food I tried. The food is all messed up. I ordered egg rolls and a pho ga (chicken noodles). The picture in the menu shows egg rolls come with some vegetables, but no vegetables included. I asked again, and the waiter only offers tiny lettuce with no dipping sauce. The pho ga. It is all round shaped white meat. It tastes plain like tofu. I will not recommend this restaurant at all. read more

Horrible, unprofessional and lazy wait staff. Perhaps the worst I've seen. At one point, we watched our waitress make her way toward our table while she dug lengthily in her ear with a pinky finger. Drinks were delivered, in cans, five minutes after the main course started, after reminding her twice. Food was unremarkable. The $6 Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls were certainly not fresh. The rice paper was so dried out that it actually glued itself to your lips when you tried to bite into it, not to mention being tough and rubbery like overchewed gum. The rolls also had so few mint leaves that you could hardly taste it. The $7 Small Vegetarian Pho was obviously prepared from a mixed bag of pre-cut frozen vegetables, partially freezer burnt. The $12 Large Chicken Pho was large only in the amount of overly salty broth, and held maybe a quarter of a chicken breast, sliced super-thin and thrown on top. Not much else in it besides MSG, rice noodles and some sad green onion slices. read more

If you are Asian or know Vietnamese food, you may wish to avoid this restaurant. The pho had none of the usual vegetables and herbs to add. The fried rice was inedible. Rice, frozen mixed vegetables, and a poisonous amount of black pepper. The only thing worse than the meal was the terrible service. When we finally got the check, the waitress just gave a disapproving look when we did not want to take the food with us because it was inedible and charged us her high price. Not many restaurants open late at night in Charlottetown, this is one of the few I can find on Queen Street. I am happy to be able to find vegetarian options. Lots of green vegetables and health cooking. For those who want to have Canadian food, they can select from the western food menu. There is something for everyone. read more

It was Canada Day so a lot of the Asian restaurants were closed in and around Queen St. I thought the food was tasty. Had the Spring rolls, fresh rolls which needed basil, maybe some carrot, and cilantro, the Special Pho, and the Lemongrass Chicken. The main problem with the restaurant is one waitress who should not be in the service industry. The meal ended horribly when she would not clear the table before bringing our check. There were two other waitresses that were very good and the owner was super nice. One bad apple does spoil the barrel. read more

Those fresh rolls in the picture are exactly as beautiful and delicious as they look. The one problem with downtown Charlottetown is that it can be very hard to find a decent meal at an affordable price. This is a place to go for good food that fills you up. The pho was excellent, I'm not very partial to anise, so I probably did not enjoy it as much as someone that is, but the meat, the noodles, and the broth were wonderful and very filling for the price. The service is excellent and the staff went out of their way to be attentive and make sure I enjoyed my meal. read more

The portion sizes are huge (we couldn't finish ours). We got the special pho. The meatballs were tasty but they had a really off-putting texture, almost like they were made of rubber. They keep cutlery (forks, spoons and chops sticks) stacked on each table which is very unsanitary. I don't know who was sitting at the table before us, but it's gross to think they would have had direct access to my cutlery. I don't know if someone with a cold coughed all over them or if a kid with was playing with them with grubby hands etc. I'm still shocked that this is how they deal with the cutlery. The spring rolls tasted strange, again strange texture too and they were really only edible if you dunked them completely in the sauce. The wait staff is loud in the back and in the front of the restaurant. And since they refuse to put on any background music your experience goes from awkward silence to disruptive yelling from the staff. Their phone rang a couple of times and we could overhear one of the staff essentially telling the person on the other end off and yelled at them to never to call them again and hung up on them. I really really hope that she was speaking to someone she may have known personally, and not a customer. If it was a customer on the other end of that phone conversation that kind of treatment is completely unacceptable. The real saving grace is that the owner of the restaurant is very friendly and amiable. He doesn't speak a lot of English but he still tries hard to make sure you are looked after. That and the portion sizes are the only real pluses here. read more

Very disappointing food-wise. The medium rare beef pho only came with onions and scallions. Even if I don't eat cilantro, others would be disappointed of not having any. There are NO toppings on the side (beansprouts, basil, lime, etc.) and when I asked the server had no idea what I was talking about (but it's more common than not having them???) The spring rolls also had a strange taste. The servers were super nice, however the food was just not really good. read more

If you're looking for a great Vietnamese restaurant, this is not it. The staff is friendly, there is a lot of food in your plate and it's relatively inexpensive, but the food is really subpar. We were in Charlottetown for the day were looking for a great dining experience, but we were really sorry we picked that one. read more

It is a guessing game if you do not go in knowing exactly what you want, staff not much help. Food had a funny taste, ordered a beef dish it was terrible the so called beef ( where is rover? ) was grizzled and tough, live and learn. no return. read more

Servers were forgetful. The food was honestly not good. There was too much meat, which prevented the broth (which wasn't hot enough) from being able to fully cook everything in the bowl. No bean sprouts or veggies to go with the pho. Still recovering from food poisoning. read more

We're craving for some noodles in soup and found this restaurant right next to the confederation center of arts. We had beef brisket pho and chicken pho, and both tasted authentic. We also had vegetable rice rolls and it tasted very nice with sesame and seafood sauce. read more

The food is delicious, and non-greasy. The service is wonderful.
