This is one of those it's not a 3 but it's definitely not a 4, so ... The place itself looks great - the staff all young and friendly but the food was just ok. There were 4 of us and except for the Mussels all of our picks were chosen from the 'share' menu. We had the Onion dip, the Salt Cod Croquets, Beef Tartare, and the Char Siu Pork Dumplings. Most of these, although good, needed seasoning and adding salt at the table can only do so much. This was also the comment about the Mussels in Cream and Garlic sauce. (There was garlic in the sauce?) If you're in the area I'd still give it a try. Most other reviewers liked it more than we did.

We went to have dinner and it was pretty packed. The waiter suggested some Tidal Bay to start with (delish) and the Brussels sprouts, rich in flavors with tasty pieces of pork/pancetta. I then had scallops with pork belly and green beans, what a great mix! The pork belly piece was thick and crunchy but melt in your mouth! The scallops were cooked to perfection and tasted fresh. Service was fast and the vibe was cool (a bit loud but not too bad)

Marcs Lounge: 2 Stack burgers with salad & fries, delicious!

Brickhouse is such a fun place to grab some drinks and food with people. I have been in both the main restaurant which is slightly more upscale and Marc's lounge which is a really cool and cozy vibe on the third floor loft, same menu but slightly more causal yet intimate setting. Great drink menu and lovely food choices. Adore the calamari here and the bacon jalapeño dip too. The harvest salad is one of my favourite salads ever that you can order as your choice of side with no upcharge too! Fresh greens, quinoa, candied walnuts, roasted apples, and mustard maple dressing. The fries are also delightful here especially in addition to the stack burger or chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich is prob my favourite thing to order, grilled juicy chicken thigh on a fresh and soft toasted ciabatta with a garlic aioli, red cabbage slaw, arugula, and pickled pear, Brick house is an awesome place to grab some nosh in Charlottetown with a local brew or fancy drink.

    Blurry photo of delicious mussels!

Great place to try something a little different in Charlottetown! Service was great, and the food was a treat. Tried the asparagus, tacos, truffle fries and mussels. Everything was tasty! This special spot is tucked away on Sydney Street, with a great bar above. If you feel like spiffing up and lounging with some great food and/or cocktails- this is the spot!

We had a great meal dinner here on our first night in Charlottetown on our PEI vacation. I don't normally comment much on the decor of restaurants, but I have to in this case. It was like eating inside of a modern art gallery. So cool! Beautiful lighting, paintings, and overall ambiance. Very romantic too, with candles on each table. Service was friendly and we were able to get a table pretty quickly! The food was excellent. We started with PEI mussels ($14) in a light lime broth. So, so fresh. For dinner my husband had the Atlantic salmon in a pomegranate sauce ($24) and I was able to try some. Again, one of the freshest salmon I've tasted. I actually had an appetizer for dinner, the seafood chowder ($16). It was very thick and creamy (I know some people prefer a lighter broth but I liked it) and chock full of potatoes and shellfish. The addition of bacon gave it a nice, subtle smoky flavor too. All of the dishes here are well executed and prepared artfully.

I am not sure why they are listed as sea food coz they definitely have other options. We stopped by here for lunch strolling through the streets of Charlotte town downtown. I loved the ambiance of this place and the service was pretty nice too. Ordered Buffalo Mac and Cheese and Chicken and waffles. Buffalo Mac and Cheese is the best Mac and Cheese we have ever had in Canada, it was very creamy and buffalo chicken was very flavourful and a nice addition. Chicken and Waffles were not bad but nothing to write about. For the ambiance, I was surprised that there food items were priced very reasonable.

Soooooo good! Both of these dishes. Drool.

Yum! 5 STARS ON EVERYTHING! DRINKS: Great selection of beer, wine, spirited coffees AND non-alcoholic options as well! My pumpkin ale drink had cinnamon and sugar on the glass's rim. I've never seen that before - nice addition. Mmmm! FOOD: a good selection and brunch was available until 4pm. I got the Huevos Tot something or other. Amazing! The waitress helped us both in deciding between our top two choices - excellent choice for me, I've never seen this combo anywhere before, thank you! The other selection we opted for was the Chicken Penne - also amazing! And it had a little bit of kick to it (chipotle). We were quite full after (large portion size) but it was so tasty and we helped each other, and so... no leftovers today (we were hungry when we came in). SERVICE: Excellent. Friendly, attentive, helpful. VALUE: Great value! The price was right for the quality of the food and drinks ordered and the amount of food we got. ATMOSPHERE: clean, cozy and comfortable. Feels high end. It wasn't busy when we went so it was quiet and perfect! We'll be back.

Bad food. Not only with taste, but how it's cooked. The price of the food does not reflect the quality.

There was a staff turn over while we were there, and it was seamless. The workers flowed effortlessly. The old fashioned (General Scott) was delicious. So smooth and comforting. Tuna crudo and Major Tom's steak on toast were absolutely amazing. We decided to order meals, as the apps were so good. Blue salmon, with root veg, superb. Dave's Lobster was a highlight. Mr. Bee ordered the Half & Half Lobster Roll. One half of the sandwich was "The Local", which was 1/4 lb. of tender and sweet chilled lobster tossed in seasoned mayonnaise, with crisp celery and fresh chives. The other half of the lobster roll was filled with 1/4 lb. of warm lobster tossed with lemon garlic butter and fresh chives. Both were scrumptious. The flavor of the lobster was sweet. It was really nice to have a chilled half of sandwich and a warm half of sandwich. They both were different, but we couldn't decide on a favorite. I decided no lobster for lunch so I chose a grilled cheese. It was served on the same bread as the lobster roll, but the middle was filled with ooey gooey cheese and then smashed like a panini, it too was different and really good. But that doesn't mean I didn't sneak a bite or two of the lobster roll. The eatery is down on the water in a cute bungalow building. The interior is roomy and so bright and cheerful and spotlessly clean. They offer a few outdoor patio tables, and it was such a beautiful and warm day we ate outside and it was lovely. The service was excellent and the young woman working the counter was so helpful in explaining the different lobster rolls they offer to help us choose and her recommendation was spot on. This was truly the best lobster roll we had on the trip.

The choice of rolls here and most places are to have them cold or warm, and we found we like the cold ones better. The roll comes with a side and we both picked coleslaw. I got a local beer which was a blueberry ale that was pretty refreshing. The food was not as cheap as some places and the two letters MP (market price), typically mean I will be paying more, in this case the roll and side was over $30. There was a generous amount of lobster on the roll and it was fresh but I felt it needed either more mayonnaise or some acid to bring out the flavors. The roll was toasted though and buttery but still lacking a bit. Overall a good lunch for someone who doesn't get fresh lobster rolls often.
