I have been bringing my daughter here for gymnastics the last two years and she's gotten so much out of it. She has also had 2 birthday parties there even though I've tried to get her to change her mind to try something new, she insisted to get the 2nd one there. She's also gone to many of her friends birthday parties there even some people that go to other gymnastic places. I definitely recommend having your birthday party here. It does go fast so if you need to extend for extra times let him know ahead of time and make sure to confirm it before the party so there are no misunderstandings. read more

I attended a birthday party here for the first time and was very impressed with how organized the staff was and how smooth the party ran. This was my daughter's first time doing gymnastics and she asked if she could come back tomorrow. The party ran from 3:45- 5:15 and started off with about 20 minutes of tumbling, jumping and floor play on inflatables. I really liked the different areas and how well organized each staff member was with supervision of the girls and incorporating different areas of the gym for the time spent. There is a area for inflatables (bounce houses), foam balance beam, jumping mats. The staff interacted great with the group and provided adequate supervision while the girls were on the equipment. I thought my daughter would have been afraid of heights and swinging, however she was confident, comfortable and had a great time. Once the girls finished in the gym, we headed over to their party room for Pizza, drinks and cake. The staff handled the party with ease and were exceptional. The host handed out her party favors and ended the party on time. I would have definitely added a star if the facility was renovated and more visually appealing. Overall, this is a great venue idea for a birthday party gathering. Simple to plan and a great time for the kids. read more

Good gym. It is a really fun place, but not very clean. The decor is outdated and so are the photos on the walls and the website is lacking. The owners wife works the front desk and she gets overwhelmed easily. At times it is so loud and crowded in the waiting area I have to wait outside. There is also a strong bad smell of tires and feet throughout the whole gym...not kidding. They need to air the place out more. The coaches are good. They are strict with their teams...which is why a lot of girls quit. read more

My Daughter has been going to phoenix gym for a couple of years now we are always very happy and have never had a problem other then the occasional tempertrantrum when our session is over ( she never seems to get enough ). If I could give las than one star I would. This place is horrible and the owner is a horrible businesswoman. If you miss a class and are no longer enrolled in the session you can not make up a class on the day you were originally enrolled in. She makes you come in a different day during the week even though you have already paid for the session and have another child enrolled in the session. The tire smell in the facility is absolutely horrible. Save your money and brain cells since you will be losing them sitting in a room filled with toxic chemicals and having to converse with the owner. She thinks she is doing you some sort of favor when in actuality it's the customer who is doing her the favor by wasting their money keeping this crap hole in business. read more

I would never ever sign my daughter up for this place again, and I suggest you don't either!! My daughter was so excited about taking gymnastics so we signed her up. On the first day there was another chid who seemed to mildly bully the other kids a bit. We didn't say anything. The 2nd class, the same girl was being a bit more pushy and even shoved kids off the low balance beam, the teacher did nothing and we didn't say anything. Our third and final class, the same child was very aggressive and was tugging and twisting other girls arms, shoving them, pushing them to the back of the line and yelling at them. I said something immediately as the level of bullying was out of control. Told the teacher because the woman in the office was not in there. The teacher did nothing. About 5 minutes later the same thing happened but this time directly to my kid, I went in and said something again (woman in the office was still not in there). The teacher did nothing. The final and third time, my daughter had a harness around her waist connected to 2 ropes. The bully started to pull on the rope and swing her (teacher didn't notice at all). I went into the office and told the woman what was happening and very calmly she said she needed to talk to me anyway, my kid was asked to leave the class. MY KID IS BEING BULLIED AND I AM ASKED TO LEAVE! They said it was inappropriate to walk into the gym and tell the teacher. If someone had been in the office I would have never gone in but something had to be done. I walked into the gym after they asked us to leave, got my daughter and walked right out. The owner finally came out and was yelling at me for walking into his gym. Perhaps if the bully situation would have been handled properly the first time, this wouldn't have happened. I strongly recommend NOT having your child take a class at this place. I know that people speak so highly of this gym, which is why we decided to go there. I am truly disappointed, and the worse part was my kid was hurt physically by the bully and emotionally by being kicked out. The owner simply kept telling me I was imagining everything and I was wrong. read more

Stay away at all costs! The owner and his wife are completely unprepared to deal with children and their parents in any mature, rational, professional level/capacity. They are terrible business people, terrible with customer service, and just bad examples of people in general. Mind you, I have 3 children and all of them had attended Phoenix at one point or another -- we've always had lovely, young female coaches, and it was smooth sailing with the exception of the fact that the owner's wife, Jolie, pounces on you for money the very day it's due, the very second you walk in, regardless of the situation. (once she followed me into the bathroom as I was carrying my daughter who had just had an accident in her pants because she fell asleep on her way over to class) -- she certainly knows how to make you feel like all you are to them is money in the bank. My youngest son (just turned 6) has been coached by the owner since the start of this school year only -- I had heard unfavorable rumblings about him, but had never dealt with him on a personal level until now. Yesterday, my son wore pull on "jeans" (no buttons, no zippers - Charlie Rocket brand) and the man comes out into the lobby full of waiting parents and siblings, pushing my 6 year old from behind. He had what could only be described as rage in his eyes as he berated BOTH of us in front of the room screaming about how my son is wearing jeans -- apparently an unwritten no-no. I tried to calm the situation down by saying "Ok, not a problem, he'll sit this class out" -- I think he took that as being disrespectful (I believe he expected me to leave immediately, not realizing my 3 year old daughter was still in the room) and then proceeded to berate and degrade my 6 year old and myself -- spewing at us that "he don't listen. He jump in the foam fit when it not his turn." Agreed, that is dangerous, and had he come out to tell me that in any other way, I certainly would have handled appropriately, but seeing as this was my son's only known offense, I was never given the opportunity. This man was on a hate-filled, crazed rant and embarrassed himself and his entire business in the process. All to yell at a small child. His clear intention was to make either one or both of us cry; my son proceeded to collapse into tears and cry in hysterics; I turned red and shaky in embarrassment and shock -- I should mention, I'm also 9 months pregnant. I had a friend who shuffled my son away to a different area with the promise of some gum -- if only I hadn't been as blindsided, I would have protected my child better from the evil inside this man. We left pretty promptly, once I was able to get to my daughter and usher us all out, only to be bombarded by text messages from friends who were still in the lobby, informing me that Jolie was bad-mouthing me (falling on deaf ears) and saying how "it's funny that she didn't care about the safety aspect." I'm known as an over-disciplinarian, and these people were all first hand witnesses to what transpired -- she made herself look ridiculous and silly; they must think everyone is stupid. The scariest thing is that there was no buildup to this situation. No prior altercations, no "hey, can you talk to your son about . . ." -- he's the sweetest boy who has come out every week since the first week with a sticker and a smile on his face saying what a good time he had at gymnastics. I posted what happened on a local board, and was absolutely shocked to learn that there were at least 15 other similar stories -- being screamed at, even manhandled by this man/monster. This was the most shockingly terrifying display of instability by a coach who deals with children ever. I would constantly live in fear that the other shoe could drop at any time. If you do decide to send your children there, god bless, but proceed with caution. read more

Awesome place. My daughter has been attending this facility for the past 3 years. It's a clean facility, the staff is very professional , very friendly, and patient. My daughter is shy when she first starts anything, but the coaches, and Jolie made her feel so comfortable. She adjusted very quickly as a result. The coaches give extra attention to whom ever they feel requires it. They are very patient. Jolie tries to keep the environment very light and friendly. She also has extreme amounts of patients. There are so many personalities that come into the facility, some parents are overbearing, in denial when they are told that their child is not behaving, the parents get out right mean, but I have seen her be so patient, and be calm when dealing with them. It takes a special person with calm, happy, and positive personality to run a place which deals with all these kids and their parents. And Jolie and her staff are the perfect fit. My brother who has 3 kids all went thru here with their kids when they were young, all had wonderful and positive experience. We even had our daughters birthday party here, the experience was so good, and kids had such a fantastic time, that even our friends whose kids don't attend gymnastics here had their birthday parties here because the staff was super friendly, and Jolie was so easy going and approachable with any changes, or ideas.
