Last year we had The Flagstone Yard install our Phoenix Pavers in the front walk & driveway. It came out terrific looking, just adds so much to the look of a house. One thing that was done was to over fill the joints with the PolySweep sand, now although it looks very cool and most people like the look of the smoother finish it does tend to break out of the joints so then I have to refill them, a PITA. Phoenix pavers installed 3300 square feet of travertine pavers in our backyard (4 weeks of work). The quality of the work was atrocious. The amount of settling, among other problems, within 3 weeks caused the need to have every paver removed. The company disputed our concerns and provided a very low level of customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Our backyard will forever hold scars from this ordeal. Not to mention adding a 2 month delay for completion. Spent about $25000 on a backyard update, cooking area and pavers. Workmanship was terrible. Gas was not hooked up properly and leaked for a couple of months before I realized it, outlets in the cooking area are loose, pavers are not set in a straight line, irrigation lines under pavers were cut (and then the pavers came up with the water like small volcanoes), etc. Pretty bad experience. read more

PHX pavers just completed a 2700 square foot driveway for us. The work is great and they did it in ONE DAY! (Plus one day to demo the old ugly concrete.) We had Chris Shaffer and his team do 2500 square feet of travertine in our backyard. The workmanship, quality and value was exceptional! Our yard was transformed to a beautiful resort style backyard. We waited over 20 years to do our backyard, the space was all concrete with some cool decking, the process allowed pavers to be placed over the concrete and our pool incorporated into the process unified the yard. Poor workmanship and terrible customer service. The workers neglected to face the edge of my patio and two pavers came loose within days. The salesman did not follow up or even respond to my phone calls. When eventually a crew came to finish the job and repair the damage, they left a mess in my yard. About 3 weeks ago I set out to find someone to pave about 5,000 square feet for a driveway and some walk way space. The first person I called was Phoenix Paver's. I talked to Pete and he took me through the process. At the end of the conversation he urged me to get a number of bids. I took his advice and contacted 7 different companies. I learned that many of the licensed contractors used the same process, however the unlicensed contractors cut a few corners here and there. In the end I chose Phoenix Pavers for three reasons: Price, quality and design assistance. Phoenix Pavers was one of the lowest priced (but not the lowest), had the same quality as the higher priced companies, but Pete provided a number of design option that the others did not take the time explain. After I signed the agreement, Pete started two days latter and the job was completed within four working days. This was about half the time the others thought it would take. He was always curtious, professional, and did what he said he was going to do. I highly recommend him. read more
