December 11, 2024 Randy and his great group of employees have done multiple vehicles for me over the years.. to include Hummers and high-end Maserati's. A quick text message to their office this morning @ (480) 620-2006 while having my morning coffee around 8am. By 10am employee "Diego" is in my driveway knocking out the repair in record time. Very efficient and polite young man I might add. Lifetime warranty on parts. But only one year on labor, which is the most difficult part of this repair as I have done a few myself. Don't do it yourself, let these guys do it for you! I'd like to give them 4.5 Stars, but this program does not allow for it. I gave them 4 Stars rather than 5 Stars because of how their billing is presented. When a company starts doing line items for "Fuel and Environmental Surcharge" and "Maintenance", I personally feel that is uncalled for. This tactic did not work very well in my line of work, and I got multiple complaints. Instead, I went back to the basics: One Price, and of course taxes if applicable. I have a 2013 Mazda CX9 and my window that has been repaired 2 times by this company has failed once again. The first repair was 06/24/2019 and in 2020; 3 weeks past the 1-year coverage it failed again, it might have failed sooner it was summer and I rarely roll down the window however someone came to the window on the passenger side and that is when it failed. They were going to charge me full replacement cost however I made several calls and got the replacement done but had to pay for labor. Well this past weekend on 10/20/23 it broke again!!!! I don't know if they are using inferior parts are if its poor workmanship. Motor & Regulator replacement I must have gotten lucky. It was almost 3:30 pm when I called, and within about an hour the guy showed up at my location. Diego was the young man who showed up, replaced my window regulator and motor and got it working again. He was very good and knew what he was doing. This company saved me almost $100. Sun Devil Auto in Scottsdale wanted $400 and the Mesa location wanted $360, and they only offered a 2-year warranty. This company says they offer a lifetime warranty on the part. So you would only pay for labor if your part goes bad. I'm not sure what the labor price is though. If I have any trouble with my back window working within the next year, I will be making another review again. (I expect any new part to last at least 3 times the warranty; otherwise it may as well be disposable). I do expect quality parts to be used. One year is hardly a warranty. Two years is not much better, but a lifetime warranty works for me For right now, I'm very pleased with the service and the responsiveness that I received from this company. I would encourage anyone and everyone to use this company. You can't go wrong since they're willing to come to you. I would encourage anyone who needs a new window regulator or motor to allow them to do it all. Otherwise you waste time and money if you purchase the wrong part yourself. I would also recommend that if you text them to make the appointment and get a price quote, you also call to make sure you get the same price quote. When I texted this number previously and spoke to somebody else, the price was also different. I would call to verify the price you are quoted by text, because you might like the quote better by phone. Used them today to replace the regulator on my 2007 BMW X3. We had a few problems -- as is occasionally the case here on planet earth. But, in the end, Randy, the owner made it all right and that's the important thing here. Companies are going to have the occasional problem (wrong part sent out to them, employees "asleep at the wheel", etc....), but in the end, it's the owner that can make the difference. This is where Randy shines! (in case you haven't got that yet from the other reviews here!!) In talking to him directly, I could better understand the difficulties that sometimes affect customer impressions. But his caring and willingness to call and discuss with me the problems AND make them right, is what makes this company a shining star and this should seriously be considered when you need a window repaired -- especially on an older car where it's bound to happen.....eventually. Summer in the Valley is no joke! When my power window on the driver's side went "thunk!" I was not happy! Tried the garage I usually go to but was not able to reach them, went to a shop near by and was given a quote, but they would have to order the part.. ok... great. Tech spent 5 minutes performing a "diagnostic" and came back to let me know it was not an issue with anything to do with window components and they would charge for the diagnostic. I requested a diagnostic printout and was sent an email stating only diagnostic for the service done with no details. Installing window regulators is a pain in the butt, even if you know what you're doing. Don't even TRY it if you're a noob. Even if you've watched the Youtube video a dozen times. PPWR makes it easy. You call, they come, it's fixed. Affordably. $200 got me the regulator AND the labor. That's entirely reasonable, which I know, because I've done them myself...and absolutely hated every minute of a 5 hour repair. Drilling rivets out, taking off door panels, it's NOT an easy job. Oh no, it's 189°, or so it feels on this early July afternoon in Phoenix and I can't seem to get it up, what's a guy to do?!? If you, like me, can't get your window to roll up in the overbearing heat of the summer, it's time to give Phoenix Power Window Repair a call. No amount of air conditioning can compensate for the Phoenix summer heat rolling in through the open window of your car. I called about five or six auto repair shops to get a quote for a rear driver side power window regulator replacement and was given estimates ranging from $300 up through $600. Shock is really the only emotion I can use to describe these estimates. A quick search on Google tells me this part costs somewhere between $70 and $100 from a handful of different retailers and I know this repair will take less than an hour of time, in fact it took PPWR only 30 min. By my math, the repair shop who quoted me $600 can go f* themselves with their $1000 per hour quote in labor costs. I changed my search criteria slightly and ran into Phoenixpowerwindowrepair . Com site and gave them a call. With an estimated quote at $175 - $200 depending on what was broken was the best quoted rate and decided to go with them. Four days later they showed up, on time, at my house as scheduled and agreed upon. They had my window repair done in under 30 minutes and I am once again able to roll up my rear window. For the sake of argument let PPWR serve as Phoenix Power Window Repairs. The owner will be Boris, female who does 98% of the correspondence Sybil and a one time employee Sparky. The issue with my vehicle was the drivers door window would not go to the top when using the "auto up." I had purchased a regulator and motor and then contacted PPWR to service. They arrived at my home, installed the regulator and opted to "Not" to install the motor. PPWR departed my home and they window continued doing the same as before, would go up on auto but stop short of its travel approximently 2-3 inches from the top. Several months past and I reached out to PPWR regarding the same issue. Sybil stated that she would send a technician out to fix the issue. Technician arrived, removed the door panel and did whatever it is that technicians do to look busy. Closed the panel and began a series of programs enabling the motor to communicate with the door switch or something to that effect. Bottomline at least for this technician I was told "From time to time it is necessary to leave the window in the up position for 48 hours to enable, now here it comes I'm guessing something is going to talk to another friend inside the door, for the program to set." I'll leave you with that last paragraph and don't be so damn picky, I know there aren't any paragraphs. Okay, so around September I, you guessed it reached out to PPWR and who should answer the phone but Sybil. I explained my situation even though I'm sure that she knew it by heart. I was put on hold as it become apparently necessary for her to go and seek a higher power. Upon her returning I was told "If you want us to look at the window/door you'll have to drive to the shop and Boris (owner) will inspect. I told Sybil that'd I'd be out to the shop, I think within a couple of days. So I put together a cooler with water, apples, carrots, kiwi and peaches and headed to Peoria, AZ home of the Wildcats and PPWR. ONE HUNDRED MILES ROUND TRIP!!! Did you all get that? I was met by a PPWR technician who was in charge of driving my vehicle around back to one of PPWR bays. I wondered around the area for 20 minutes or so and then made an almost fatal mistake by walking into the bay that Boris was working on my vehicle. "You can't be in here!" Holy shit I froze in my steps taking just a moment to either fall to the ground or turning around a running. "You need a NEW MOTOR, stated Boris!" I looked up and Boris was making hand gestures as to simulate two gears attempting to mesh together but one has a broken tooth. So when we get to that part of the cycle the stops thinking it's all the way to the top. I must have not combed my hair that day or Boris thought I fell off of a local turnip truck. I mean if the gear is doing that is not almost common sense that we would experience the same on the way down? Stopping short thinking the window is now at the bottom. Hopefully we had a little fun today. Bottomline is in my opinion stay clear of this company. They may save you a buck but it really worth your time and frustration? Their customer service gets 1 star and that is only because they open and lock their doors on time. I have the statement given to me by PPWR for $270 and you can see the refund monies they sent for returning the "wrong motor." Boris received the motor on 11/07/2020 the day it was scheduled to arrive, phoned me and stated, "This is not our motor and I'm sending it back." If you look at the refund check you'll see the date it was written, 11/07/2020. I have some other documents I'll post next week with an update. I'm not above the law, let me know what you guys think.
