My driver side window shattered while I was driving on the highway. I tried setting an emergency appointment with safelite but they wouldn't repair it until the following week which didn't work for me. I discovered Golden Glass at a car wash-n-detail establishment on a Friday. While at that location, I worked with the GG representative who obtained payment through my insurance company in addition to the remote service appointment. The next day, a Golden Glass technician (J.D.) arrived at my apartment as scheduled. He was articulate and polite. He did a very good job of installing the windshield and didn't leave a mess. Golden Glass deserves 5 stars! I'd like to give J.D. a special shout out because, during the service, my mentally ill neighbor came outside to threaten the both of us. In response, J.D. placed himself between me & the perpetrator and gave me his cell to call 911. J.D. kept a cool head the whole time and stayed with me until I could safely get back into my apartment. He really saved the day. He's my personal hero! J.D. deserves a medal! read more

I probably won't be using Golden Glass again after my experience with them. First, the sales rep kept telling me over and over that they use factory glass. Said that right up until we started filling out the paperwork. Then, suddenly, my vehicle is too old and they have to use the aftermarket glass. As if it was suddenly a surprise that my vehicle was more than two years old. Then, the installer loved to brag about how he'd been doing this for 30 years (mentioned it several times) and how good he was. When he pulled the glass out, I tried to take the time to fix the dash seal that you can only get to with the window out or the dash out of the car. He said it was fine and that's how it was supposed to be. It wasn't. I couldn't get to the other side since he busy scraping off the old glue. I walked away from the car for a minute and when I came back to fix the other side, he yelled at me to not touch the car since he'd already put the glue down. Did he take the 10 seconds to fix it? No. Did he bother to wipe the old wax line off the a-pillar? No. Did he let me anywhere near the car to fix or clean up anything that can only be done with the window out? No. Did he do it? No! All he wanted to do was get the job done and get off to his next install. Didn't care about me or my car, just the job he was doing. And the last part of all this.... The windshield had a terrible film or residue on it that would not go away with conventional cleaning methods. I have brand new wipers and they would still leave nasty streaks making it difficult to see when it rained. Even dish soap couldn't get it off. I had to use a cleaner/wax to take whatever it was off. The ONLY good thing about this whole experience is the tint strip I asked for is near perfect. read more

I'm impressed! Sid approached me at a car wash about my windshield. I had about 10 tiny little cracks. He set me up for an appointment that Tuesday for someone to replace my windshield. No cost to me since insurance covers it! Sid even paid for my car wash. The process was painless and now I have a shiny new windshield. Two thumbs up! read more

Could not be more satisfied. About a month ago I had a chip in my windshield and went through my insurance to get it repaired. They sent safelite out and the guy was not prepared and did a quick repair and left. 3 days later I had a crack all the way across my windshield. I called safelite to have them fix it. I thought there'd be some sort of warranty because they did the failed repair. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and several days later they called and asked if I'd need my lane keeping cameras recalibrated when they did the replacement. I told them I would and they were able to send a technician out who replaced my windshield with an inferior aftermarket one. But of course he didn't have the equipment to recalibrate so I had to drive it down to their shop. The technician recalibrated my cameras and also decided to reset other hardware which caused my transmission to go into "learn" mode. Well everything was "fine" but not great but then three days later I had a rock hit my brand new windshield and it cracked all the way across immediately. I decided I was dome letting safelite damage my truck and sought out someone better. Golden glass sent out Harry and his wife with a brand new factory windshield. They were able to calibrate my cameras and fix some things that safelite had damaged that I didn't even realize. They were professional, they called me to give me updates on their arrival time and the quality of work was top notch. I will only use this company going forward. read more

I've used Golden Glass and J.D. for the least 4 year on 3 different vehicles. These people are legit. They get on the phone with you to get everything through insurance, then J.D. shows up a day later if not sooner to replace your glass. Everything is easy going, not pushy, and so relaxed, you don;t even know what's going on. Next thing you know, your vehicle has new glass, and everything is over.
