We saved for a while and, like most people, shopped around for quotes. We got quotes from 6 different roofers. We have a roughly 1600 sq ft home and were quoted upwards of $23K for a roof replacement by some companies. This was not including any potential dry rot replacement or gutters, of which we figured there may have been some dry rot. We were getting really stressed out not only because of the prices we were quoted, but the lack of connection as well. This was a huge investment on our part and, while perfectly cordial, most interactions felt surface-level. That was until we had the opportunity to meet Josue. You won't find anyone else who will work harder or care more about making sure you feel comfortable and informed throughout the entire process while also offering the most affordable prices. COST: More than reasonable. After we shopped around for quotes, he not only had the best price, but also the best value. Hands down the best "bang for your buck" if this is your top priority. While very conscientious of making sure no materials were wasted and walked us through every step of the process. COMMUNICATION: Josue is not only extremely communicative, he is also a pleasure to speak to. He will get back to you within 24 hours and will answer every question you may have and address any concern as well. He is kind, professional, comprehensive, and speedily gets back to you. WORK CREW/QUALITY OF WORK: Josue's team worked expeditiously and was very mindful to make sure that any "mess" left behind was picked up at the end of each work day so we wouldn't find ourselves inconvenienced by any mess. They were sure to blow any debris away and had a large trailer to dump everything. Whenever I spoke to anyone on the crew they were each kind and communicative as well. A direct reflection/extension of what you would experience in your interactions with Josue. He really has a wonderful team. As far as the quality of work goes, the roof looks truly amazing. We are incredibly happy with the work and thankful we found Josue. Initially, we weren't sure which shingle color we would use and without hesitating, Josue offered to drop off several samples for us to use and compare so we could confidently select what we felt was best for us. The roof looks clean and is marvelously crafted. UNFORESEEN OBSTACLE: We did have a permit issue with the city regarding an overhang attachment to our home, but again, Josue went up to bat for us. I was very stressed out to hear we would not be able to move forward with this area of the house (not Josue's fault), and he calmly and patiently walked me through the process and told me not to worry that his crew could come back and knock out the area quickly at a later time. PERSONAL NOTE: Nowadays it feels rare to have such an exceptional experience with a company of any sort. It's a really big purchase and everything can admittedly seem stressful and you're worried about making such a large investment, but I'm happy to say that was not our experience with Josue and his team. They went above and beyond the call to make sure we felt comfortable, informed, taken care of, and heard. Josue even lent us his dumpster so we could get rid of a lot of personal waste we had in our backyard (of which there was a ton). We called an old neighbor of ours, who is a roofer, and he forwarded us to Felix at Lesfo. He was super prompt with coming out to give us a quote. We had a complete tear off of the old roof and a new one put on. The crew showed up on time every day to get the work done and cleaned everything up every day and at the end of the job , cleaned up anything that was left by them. Two gentleman came out and seemed to be more interested in my lot size and what they could add on to the roof replace and gutter install. We actually discussed the roof little compared to skylights and solar. It was definitely weird to say the least but then they said they had to order drawings for the roof so they could quote and never looked in attic or walked on roof. They said the quote would be emailed in a couple days 2-3. The days came and went and I emailed the contact hoping to get the quote maybe my email wasn't correct. I'm then told oh yea they are on vacation they should be back next week or the following week after. Seriously ? I asked if I could just get the quote so I can finalize aware that products would have to be ordered anyways. There is no quote? And they will let them know when they return. I've yet to hear a response which to me is bad business. I did go with a competitor I'm sure they seemed to know the upsell agenda and little roof discussion. But a few thousand is a few thousand, We are a budget family, only have one provider, my wife, I am on full Disability, so I try to help her with any thing I can, sometimes it hard due to my chronic pain, really takes it out of it, but she is Amazing.. ANYWAYS, back to this ROOF. lol "Davis Roofing", It came down to what ive researched , I narrowed it to 2 companies, "Davis Roofing" . I am very grateful that they took those massive boards/beams out, since they were really warp, so they replaced them, looks great like nothing happened or wasnt repaired. No charge , it was in our quote , so Im guessing they do that for all there customers, and part of there bussiness model , which is awsome and doesnt throw a wrench into the operation of the roof, and extra fees that is already expsive enough, lol... They really want to earn your business. And trust me they go the extra Mile for you. I could go on about there company and met with the owner, nice guy..
