I hired Evergreen to do two different jobs. The first job was to remove the insulation in our attic, from our metal ducts, sanitize, air seal and put in new insulation plus re insulate the ducts. It was a big job and I am extremely pleased with the results. I felt the price was fair and I can already tell a difference my ac finally come on at 8pm on a 100 degree day. The other job was to put a moisture barrier underneath our home and the work quality is fantastic. I would definitely recommend Rueben and his crew. They also gave me a discount on the second job. I've used Evergreen for two jobs now, and honestly, I couldn't be more pleased. The company is not based here, but they have a crew here led by Ruben. I've never seen harder workers than him and his crew. Despite the 100 degree plus heat, they were up in the attic for days in a room from morning til closing time. Showed lots of photos during the process, easy to communicate with, clean and punctual. My second job involved removing insulation (due to rat infestation) and replacing it, a two-day process. He went out of his way to do some rat proofing and some extra work (no extra charge). Very professional in all respects. read more

We couldn't be happier with the choice we made in picking Evergreen Attic Insulation and Ruben's Attic Masters to take care of our insulation project. Ruben's crew vacuumed out all the old, rodent infested insulation in our attic, rodent proofed both the attic and the crawl space, installed a vapor barrier in the crawl space, and then installed new insulation in both. From the start of the process, Evergreen has been magnificent. Communicating with Selena, Leo and Moe, they were upfront with the cost and the easiest of all the companies trying to get a quote. I also had to adjust the schedule multiple times working with the A/C company. Had to get attic cleaned before new A/C install, then to insulate again after install and Evergreen was very flexible doing that. If the friendliness organizing with the office set high expectations on the work to be performed, then Ruben and his crew exceeded those expectations. They were very professionalism and did an amazing job. All the questions/feedback I had was either explained in a friendly manner or addressed promptly, without me feeling like I am intruding. As an customer, that is very important that my feedback feel appreciated. From the pictures be warned if you hear any activity (squirrels or other rodents) in your attic, address it rather sooner than later or your attic would look like my before pictures. After years of rodent activity, inadequate insulation and poor air flow, Ruben and his wonderful crew completely transformed our attic. Like the other 5 star reviewers, my husband and I were tremendously impressed with Ruben's hard work and professionalism.  After insulation removal, it was clear that we needed new ducting since the existing ducting had been abused by rodents.  Ruben recommended having the new ducts suspended so that any future rodents (hopefully none) would not have such easy access.  He also installed dampers so the airflow could be adjustable. The ducting and insulation replacement was a huge job, and the crew worked late every day to finish before Christmas Eve so that we could use our furnace over the holiday weekend.  They worked fast, seemingly tirelessly, and still took the extra time to clean up everything.  I had long noticed a musty smell in our home and dust, constant dust, which was evident on the black piano where dust cannot hide.  Post-Ruben, the smell is gone and there is no extra dust.  We are enormously grateful to Ruben and his crew. read more

During a routine HVAC inspection the tech found we had a serious rat infestation in our attic - they had eaten through insulation and ducting and it was a serious problem. The HVAC company proposed a comprehensive attic rehabilitation which was quite expensive! We got an estimate from Evergreen and their proposal was for more work and was quite a bit less money. Reuben and team did a great job clearing out all of the old insulation, disinfected the attic and sealed all the rat access points. They set traps to make sure no one was still there (and caught one straggler) then came back and reinsulated to the current code. They also added an access point in our garage, insulated both garages and added a vent into a closet. Overall I could not have been more pleased with the job Reuben and team did. They were thorough, hard working and extrememely helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing these services. read more

We needed insulation in our attic (there was none) but we'd had rodents up there over the years so the crawl space was a mess and incredibly hot. The estimate was reasonable and the woman we spoke to in the office was accommodating with moving the scheduled date of insulation 3 times (due to our schedule changes). Ruben and his team came to our house and took care of our attic. They cleaned it, sanitized it, added a barrier protector and then laid batons of insulation where they could fit and blew in cellulose where they couldn't. It was an all day job and his team kept it moving. When he was done, he showed us video and photos of his work and made sure to walk us through every area so that we could see that his work was complete and thorough. Very humble and pleasant guy. Since it's been installed, we've saved money on our PG& E bill, run our furnace way less (both hot and cool) and know that our home is better protected. Our attic was a mess....twenty years of rats, tunneling through our blown in insulation. Ruben and his team masked the entire room, the attic entry, and all exits from the room. They took all of our valuables out of the attic and neatly stacked in our garage. They painstakingly vacuumed up all the disgusting insulation (and whatever else), closed all ducting and possible entry for rodents, repaired the heating ducts and hoses, then sprayed sanitizer throughout. There was significant evidence of rodents in my attic. I wanted to stop thinking about rodents still getting in and clean up things so I would be able to use the storage area up there without having to deal with the mess it was. Plus I wanted to upgrade from 1990's insulation to current standards to help control the temperature in my house. I am extremely impressed with Ruben and his crew from Evergreen Attic Insulation. The price was reasonable for everything they did: They removed and disposed of my prior attic insulation, cleaned my attic thoroughly (I could hear how many feces they were vacuuming up!), rodent proofed the multiple area where rodents and even a bird had gotten in, air sealed the multiple places where outside air could get into my house, and installed new insulation that is up to current code. Ruben was very hands on and present during the entire process from quote to completion and communicated extremely well. He and his crew showed up on time, worked diligently, and cleaned up thoroughly. It shows how much they care that they emptied my attic storage at the beginning and replaced it when finished which I very much appreciate at my age. The after pictures of where they air sealed showed just how much air from outside was getting into my attic and therefore my house before they sealed it. It's been about a month since Evergreen (Ruben and his crew) installed new insulation in our 1950s home. And get this, we've only turned on the AC once (in the late spring we would have turned on the AC at least a few times). Of the other insulation companies I had contacted in the Sacramento area, Evergreen was the most prompt and professional. We needed new insulation for our crawlspace and updated insulation in our attic as recommended by a home inspector/structural engineer. We're glad we did because it feels less drafty in our home and the southwest corner of our house no longer bakes in the afternoon. My husband was very pleased when working with Ruben. Hubby and I recently replaced our HVAC system and thought it would be a good time to assess the quality of our attic insulation. We obtained three opinions: Two companies were from personal recommendations and Evergreen we found via Yelp reviews. The estimators for the two 'other guys' simply poked their heads into the attic space and opined that our present insulation should be augmented and didn't need to be replaced. In contrast, Evergreen's estimator (Reuben), fully explored the attic space, took measurements and lots of pictures. We were impressed with his diligence. He concurred that the insulation could simply be augmented but also provided a quote for complete replacement, which included vacuuming down to the boards, sealing potential leakage points (eg around can lights), and looking for minor duct leaks (we knew there weren't major leaks from the pressure testing done by the HVAC team). In the end we chose Evergreen because of the thoroughness they showed during the estimate process, and decided on replacing the insulation. Evergreen provided references for previous jobs at our request. The price difference between augmentation and replacement seemed reasonable given the extra scope of work. We were happy to learn about an ongoing Federal tax credit incentive that would apply to both types of jobs (30% up to a cap of $1200). We were able to get on their schedule in a few weeks--this job took two full days. Care was taken to minimize mess in the house. The crew was professional, worked efficiently and left the house and yard (set up area) clean. I was glad to see they wore personal protective equipment. We were given additional pictures showing the cleaned space and after the insulation was replaced. We were very pleased with all aspects of their work and definitely recommend them! read more

The best. Ruben came out twice and issued at least four different estimates as our plans evolved. We spoke many times. We decided on barrier foil, a fan, covering the open air blocks with screen, and a general cleanup of the existing insulation. On installation day he and his crew worked 10 hours to complete the job. In the middle of all this I had to take my wife to the ER. Ruben came down from the attic to give the dog water and let her out. My wife's okay and the attic is forty degrees cooler. I had Evergreen Home Services install additional insulation in the attic of my home today and I was extremely happy with the men they sent out to do the work, as they are very professional and easy to talk to. We had a layer of old insulation that had compressed, and they installed new insulation on top of it to bring the insulation rating up to R38. They were very careful not to make a mess with the blown in insulation and they cleaned up everything upon their departure. Their price was very competitive. I got 4 bids for radiant barrier insulation & attic fans. Evergreen was by far the most professional. Evergreen took almost an hour to measure my attic space; the other contractors stuck their heads through the attic access to look around. I got a detailed bid that did not say the price could change if the measurements weren't right. They did an excellent job with installation and took pictures and videos to show me the completed work. I potentially could have saved a little bit of money going with another company, but I didn't trust that their bids were accurate. Very happy with the product and workmanship. read more
