Went to this place with my galaxy note 4 suffering from a broken screen that suffered two stories of damage. The guy name Mario was really helpful and very honest when I talked to him. He was up front about the price and told me there was a slight chance the LCD might crack when we take off the glass to repair it. I called 3 other spots and not one of them mentioned this when I spoke to them. And when I called back and asked them about it that's when they gave me the info on it. What I like about Mario is he told me himself with no probing or anything. His pricing was very well compared to others. And he was also a well mannered person. So I decided that pulling my new phone out of my running belt with cold hands and with gloves on was a smart thing to do. NOT! Rip off. I paid $97 to have my glass replaced and 3 days later the LED screen decides to go black mysteriously and they would like to charge $119 to replace glass and LED but glass is. It cracked the LED is. That will be over $200 spent if I decided to do that. No thanks. Why not replace LED and glass at the same time to reduce this double charge? The guy explained to me at the time I got the glass fixed its a small possibility the LED could be damaged and they don't like to do both initially because they lose money. Mario exceeded my expectation. I have a Samsung Mega phone and the connection to charge was broken. AT&T said to get a new phone. I brought phone to Mario and for only $69 he replaced the connection with a new one. I am sooooo happy! read more

I came in with a bent iphone 6+. and by bent, i mean it looked like a "u". after having the screen removed, i straightened out the frame as best i could. Mario took off the motherboard and straightened a little more, by the time he was done, the phone looked new. could not have asked for better service! great work! read more

Got my phone "fixed" February 7. On March 14, the phone stopped working. Took it back and they replaced the screen again, as I had a warranty. On Wednesday, March 16, phone stopped working again. Took it back and they told me the screen was not an Apple screen. Phone was making funny white lines and the guy told me he would put on the actual Apple screen "as a favor" even though the cost was $250. I told him that wasn't my problem, because I wasn't given the option of an Apple or non Apple screen in the first place. He replaced the screen with the alleged Apple screen. I get it back and it has a crack at the bottom?! I said no, this is not acceptable, but he apparently doesn't have an Apple screen without a crack. I tell him I'll be back the next day to get the proper screen and then I was taking it to Apple to be checked. The next day, he's at a different store and has to have the other store bring the alleged Apple screen. Says he will fix it again. This is by now Thursday. Then he tells me that his friend at Sprint will switch out the phone and I'll get a new phone?? I said that doesn't sound right first of all. But I studipily take it to Sprint and they have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. I take the phone that night to Apple and they tell me it's an after market screen?!!??!! Lied to three times by this place. They said the screen was cracked underneath the glass and that it couldn't be fixed under warranty. Then Apple came out and said that there was a problem with the motherboard, like because the screen was replaced with the wrong product. I got charged $129 but because it was still under warranty, they replaced the phone for me with no issues. Now, my son got his phone fixed at phone zone prior to me and suddenly his phone is not working. It also has white lines AND they charged HIM $193! They said there was a problem with the mother board?! So...... They charged me $139 and him $193 because he's a kid?? Now we have to take his phone to Apple. I'm out 139, 193 and 129 and if Apple fixes his phone, another 129 because they should have just told us to take it to Apple in the first place! They did give me a glass screen for $20 and they gave my son a free one - go figure. Jason was nice, but I felt everything was very shady. I want a refund for all services. The lady and Steven are nice too, I just don't get what happened with this situation with Jason. read more

My iphone 5 screen cracked so I took it here to get replaced. When i got it back, the home button was able to turn and was loose. The camera was foggy and glowy, as well as that, the screen would pop out the backing a great amount. The whole screen popped out and now I no longer have an iPhone. Thanks for nothing Phone Zone. Are these people for real?! YES!! I was totally impressed by the customer service from Jason. There was a misunderstanding on the repair of a tablet, not only was it corrected it was over corrected! He went over and beyond customer service with me. The kindness I received and pure professionalism from Jason and Mario couldn't compare 2 most customer service establishments. The owner took personal interest in the fiasco called me on my cell, took full responsibility. You get the feeling money is NOT a priority, customer service is! I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting their phone or tablets repaired! I will be a customer for life and recommend them to everyone I know. I wish everybody would have the same attitude as Phone Zone does. There are two locations, one on the corner of Chase & Avocado in El Cajon the other in Rancho San Diego which is the one I patronize.
