They are the only store I've ever seen that stocks 620 film. Next the service is always kind and helpful, they guys there are always willing to help. Not sure how much pricing was 10 years ago, but I remember getting 4 photos for a passport renewal and his services seemed pretty convenient. I've been dabbling in film photography for years now, but the service at Photoworks here in SF has…read morereally discouraged me from trusting other parties to develop my film; film that, as you know, is quite pricey to keep up with. I have resorted to squirreling away my many rolls of film (some of which are needed urgently) and driving all the way to my hometown two hours away to get them developed. Photoworks has completely altered the quality of my photos every time I come to them. (Note: I do return to places I hadn't had a good time at just to make sure it's not me, and to say I tried.) I've attached some examples of HALF a really important roll that turned out awfully. I took the same roll to another developer and they told me there was no issue with the roll or light exposure, and that Photoworks did cause the issue, not the camera. They also stopped communicating with me via phone when my scans would be ready and when the film is ready, which they always used to do before. Also, I used Harman Red (which should come out orangey) and they returned the scans almost purple in color. Just the little things I have to go back over that would have saved me time if the developing had come out right in the first place. Sorry to say! Just my two cents. Also...the prices are extremely high. I'm sorry...$25+ for scanning and developing one roll??? I pay half that at another spot! For the price, I should be getting what I pay for.

World Camera is no longer…read morethere but Web Camera is two doors down and uses World Camera's receipts (with the name and address scratched out). I walked in for a camera strap (left mine at home) and walked out with a ridiculously overpriced wide-angle conversion lens. I should have known better since the sales guy kept saying "but wait, there's more" but what can I say? He got me at a weak moment. Anyway, they have a no refund policy which in itself is pretty sketchy since it doesn't appear to conform with California consumer laws. If you do a search of the conversion lens itself, it takes you to a similar product on Amazon but many of the reviews are for this store and its counterparts in other tourist destinations. I managed to swap the conversion lens for an overpriced zoom lens but at least *that* got decent reviews when it first came out *and* I know I'll get more use out of it than I would a wide angle conversion lens. Don't believe me? Take a look at all the reviews that Yelp has flagged as inappropriate. Everyone says the same thing.
