She chose perfect locations and we didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. The pictures came out amazingly! The worst part was having to narrow down which pictures we were going to buy because they were all so good! Couldn't recommend Blue more highly.

From the beginning, she asked thoughtful questions to understand what we were hoping for, gave suggestions on potential locations, and explained how everything would work while checking in along the way to make sure how we'd work together worked for us. On the morning of the shoot (we picked a sunrise option down by the water in the city) she took a wide variety of shots and she is amazing with dogs- she was patient with our new puppy, knew how to capture his attention, and we walked around to different spots that allowed for greater variety of backdrops and lighting as the sun came up. Once the photos were ready she did a fantastic job walking us through the options and came prepared with real materials (frames, photo album covers, samples) that really helped us envision what the final products might look like. When our selections were ready, she brought them beautifully packaged- it was like opening a series of gifts! Blue herself is an absolute pleasure to work with- she knows her stuff, is super responsive, and has fantastic ideas. The way she runs her business makes it easy to understand each step of the process, and she uses tech in a way that is easy to engage (e.g. upfront intake form, selection tool for photos, etc.) paired with high-touch service. We really enjoyed working with Blue and hope to do future shoots as our pup grows up. Thank you Blue- we love the photos and working with you!

She was very open about the process, answered all my questions patiently. She gave me a a list of locations that is within driving distance but was open if I wanted a place of my own choosing. I'm glad I chose one of the places she shared, she knew hwere to go, and good places to take the pics. At our appointment, she came on time and was very well-prepared. My dog had such a good time during our session, and I did too. when the photos came, the result was amazing, and selecting them and getting the digital copies was a breeze.

Deciding whether or not it was worth the money, time, effort, etc. Clearly I decided to do it and let me tell you- IT WAS 100% WORTH IT ALL. I didn't have any idea where to go to take photos- so Dog Proof set up an absolute perfect array of places to take her. We went to wide open fields, beautiful lakes, graffiti walls, bridges- it was quiet the adventure. Ruth had a blast! Unlike most photo studios, Dog Proof let Ruth be a dog. They captured her jumping for her tennis ball, digging in the sand, exploring the woods. Every single photo showcased Ruth having the time of her life, enjoying being a dog. Not to mention, Ang is not afraid to get muddy! She got in the dirt to take half of our photos- getting the best of Ruth's angles! It was incredible to see her work!! When the photos came back, we were stunned. These photos will last a lifetime, moments that I could never have captured on my own, that are hanging on our walls forever. I can't thank Dog Proof enough for giving my family such a beautiful gift. If you're on the fence about getting your pups photographed- I suggest you do it! You won't regret it at all if you use Dog Proof. (AND your dog will be happy you chose them too- Ruth left the shoot exhausted with lots of cheese & meat in her belly!)

By pure chance, I saw Fred's sign for pet photography while I was out running errands, and it immediately felt like a sign that I needed to reach out. From the very first message, Fred was incredibly responsive, compassionate, and accommodating. He was able to fit us into his schedule quickly, and his communication throughout the entire process was exceptional. Before our session, he sent tips on how to prepare, which helped us feel at ease and ready for the day. When Fred came to our home, he was absolutely wonderful with Parker. His patience, kindness, and genuine love for animals shined through in every interaction. He made the experience feel natural and comfortable, capturing Parker's personality so perfectly. We especially appreciated that he included us in several photos. A few weeks later, we attended the reveal of our images and were completely blown away. Every photo was stunning, and choosing which ones to print for our home was incredibly difficult because we loved them all so much. The turnaround time was impressively fast, and the final wall portraits we selected are absolutely beautiful. Sadly, Parker passed away just two weeks after our photo session. We are endlessly grateful that Fred gave us these precious memories to hold onto. If you've been thinking about booking a session with Fred, please take this as your sign to do it. Our time with our pets is never long enough, and having these memories preserved is truly priceless.

He was patient and friendly with both me and the pooch, giving us both time to get used to the studio and equipment. His reflexes were fast, allowing him to catch nuances of expression and posture for me to choose from. He used his artist's eye to show me how changing the orientation and spacing of each portrait helped produce a balanced finished product. I could not have asked for a kinder, more satisfying experience. My only regret is that I had not asked Fred to photograph my human kids when they were younger.

I loved…read moreseeing the photo examples she put up on her website of past clients which gives a great overview of what to expect. While I'm not sure if Lauren focuses on just animals or life events like weddings also, this review is just about her pet photography. We began emailing each other to set up a shoot with our six month old puppy before he gets older and can no longer capture his youthfulness. My wife and I talked about locations we were interested in, one of us wanted water shots and the other in the grass. It was Lauren who suggested we go to the beach where we could get both types so that is what we did. After a little back and forth with some scheduling conflicts on both ends, we decided on a weekend which likely works well for most clients. We received a list of do's and don'ts before the shoot that was super helpful. Items I had never thought of like bringing his favorite toy as a distraction to getting to the site early and running off a bit of energy so it'll be easier for the dog to settle down and take photos of. Upon arrival, we met in the parking lot of our agreed upon location and headed out on a cold evening around sunset. We had been there for about a half hour beforehand to do what she suggested and it worked wonders on settling our pup down. While it was tough to get him to look at Lauren at times, she had along her own bag of tricks including toys and a whistle so he would pay attention to her and not his owners. We tried all sorts of different locations and poses of him and it worked like a charm, even if I had to jump in and entice the dog with a treat. I've seen some previews and I'm very happy with the session, we are moving to a planning phase of buying some canvases and prints to put all around our home with an in-person meeting scheduled to review the proofs. Lauren uses another local studio to get the prints from. I highly recommend her for a very particular type of photography and if you need any excuse to look at some adorable animals to picture what your dog (or cat? or hedgehog? or billy goat?) may look like in high quality shots, simply check out what she has up on her website.
