I went to this business with a little and occasional knee pain. I have confirmed osteoarthritis in…read morethat knee. It was on a special, something like $49 or $79, I forgot which but not much. I was looking for exercises I could do to strengthen the knee. That's all I wanted. They took X-rays and told me the other knee that I have no problems with was worse! They never mentioned the special and got me for over $500. They told me all the great things they were going to do. They called it physical therapy not chiropractic. They said they could have a therapist stretch my neck. I don't have problems with my neck but I thought a little neck massage by a therapist would feel good. So, when I got there for my first visit, they showed me a leg brace they wanted to fit me for. It was huge and covered most of the leg from the knee down. For what, occasional knee pain? I said no thanks. Then I went for "physical therapy". It was run by 2 young disinterested guys who talked to each other and obviously didn't care about the job. They were definitely not therapists of any kind. Next I went for a few minutes to the supposed real therapists and I thought, oh good, now he's going to massage my neck. No way! He never laid a hand on me. Only did something with a board that I can't even describe because I don't know what it did. Nothing as far as I could tell. Next I went to the nurse who would give me a gel shot in the knee cap. She did this and at my second visit gave me some little shots around the knee cap. The next day I went to the mall and had so much pain in my knee that I was limping down bad I had to go home. That was my over $500 experience with this place. I was worried about their diagnosis of the knee I had no trouble with, that the knee cap was out of joint, so I went back to the real doctors at Northwest Community hospital and got a real unskewed xray and they said that knee was fine. I quit Body Works after 3 visits and asked for the return of my money. I had been told that my insurance and Medicare would pay most of it. Now they told me, well it's not really physical therapy, it's billed under chiropractic and Medicare doesn't usually pay for that, but we will see. Now after months of reaching out to them, they finally told me that after 3 visits my $500 plus dollars was all used up and that I owed them even more but they weren't going to collect it! How nice of them! So go to Body Works if you want to see a real scam at work!

The quality of care and expertise is top notch here. I've been coming here for almost 1 year…read moreconsistently. First for my hamstring and calve injury I saw significant improvements and within a few months I felt 99 percent back to normal. Their stem therapy, massage and adjustments have helped my recovery. And it helps that they treat you like a family and are down to earth. I continue to go here to treat my chronic neck issues working in front of desk a lot. Each time I come I leave feeling better than when I walk in. From doctors to the entire staff they dedicated to support the well being of patients. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know about our experience…read more The initial phone call was professional and accommodating, which gave us a good first impression. Unfortunately, the visit itself was completely different. Despite telling the office multiple times that our insurance information had already been submitted electronically and that we no longer have a physical insurance card, we were asked for it over and over again. While we were there, the chiropractor was loudly arguing with someone on the phone, and we heard the other person accuse him of doing something illegal. We also observed staff being asked to run personal errands to his house during business hours. When he finally came into the exam room, the first thing he said was, "I know you, you're from the hood," which was both strange and unprofessional since we're not even from the area. The office had an unpleasant odor, and the amount of cologne he was wearing was overwhelming. Throughout the visit, he repeatedly stared our daughter up and down. She is autistic and naturally avoids eye contact, and the interaction made us very uncomfortable. We decided to leave before any treatment began. Instead of respecting our decision, he followed us out to our vehicle and continued trying to convince us to come back inside. While we were in the office, we also observed that patients were offered a discount or free item in exchange for leaving a positive Google review. That gave us additional reason to question whether the online ratings accurately reflect patients' experiences. If this review is dismissed as fake or claims are made that we were never there, that is simply not true. We were absolutely there, and this review reflects our firsthand experience. Looking back, I wish we had recorded our visit because it would have eliminated any question about what happened. Our experience raised multiple red flags, and we did not feel comfortable or safe continuing care. Based on what we experienced, I cannot recommend this practice and would encourage others to consider a different provider.

Dr. F took X-rays and gave me almost 2 hours of his time working on my issue. I left feeling like I got hit by a bus. Over the next couple days, the motion in my neck was back. After a 2nd treatment, I had full range! Since then, I do regular maintenance on my neck and have been treated for issues like tendinitis, knee pain, foot pain and frozen shoulder, to name a few. (Tennis and golf take their toll!) I've tried other chiropractors much closer to home, but I keep going back to Dr. Fredericks. Unlike the other doctors I've seen, Dr. Fredericks is hands on. He doesn't use assistants. Doesn't sell a bunch of products. Doesn't have you work out on machines while You pay him. He does electric stim, ultra-sound, lots of massage, stretching and a number of other treatments...as needed. He will also do adjustments, but that is only a part of the overall treatment. Unlike treatment I received at other chiropractors, Dr. Fredericks treats my specific needs, each visit. He is very knowledgeable in anatomy as well as holistic approaches to wellness. His office is a bit dated, but it's clean with professional equipment. Sometimes, I have to wait a bit longer than I'd like, but I know that, when it's my turn, I will not be rushed out. I am grateful I found Dr. Fredericks as there are so many chiropractors who run their business like a gym or PT program. I'll continue to make the 45 minute commute!
